WWE Fastlane is almost here and the PPV event is looking like a great one with four title matches scheduled so far. The event for the WWE Raw Brand will take place on March 5 and while there is still one episode of WWE Raw before the event, big matches have already been confirmed. WWE Fastlane comes just weeks after WWE Elimination Chamber, the event from the WWE SmackDown brand where we saw two title changes. Here are the five matches confirmed for WWE Fastlane:
Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman
Braun Strowman has looked nearly unstoppable since he made his debut with the Wyatt Family last year. Strowman did not win the Royal Rumble match but did attack Roman Reigns during his match against Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship. A few days before that, Goldberg and Roman Reigns double speared Strowman during a WWE Raw episode. On the following episode of WWE Raw, Strowman revealed that he had interfered the match because he did not like Reigns and because Owens had promised him an opportunity to face him for the title. Strowman was given the title match but Reigns interfered to attack him, which led to a disqualification win for Strowman. Since WWE Royal Rumble, the two superstars have continued to interfere in their matches. The match was announced on the February 6 episode of WWE Raw after Braun Strowman asked for better competition.
Neville vs. Jack Gallagher
Neville and Jack Gallagher both made appearances at the WWE Royal Rumble event. Neville won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship while Jack Gallagher was one of the first to enter the Royal Rumble match and impress fans with some of his moves. The superstar who Neville defeated, Rich Swann, asked for his rematch on the following episode of WWE Raw. But it was later revealed that he got injured during the brawl that broke out. An elimination match was then announced on 205 Live to determine the number contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at WWE Fastlane, which Jack Gallagher won. On last week’s episode of WWE Raw, the two superstars had a contract signing that ended up in a fight.
Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair
Two weeks ago, Bayley defeated Charlotte Flair on an episode of WWE Raw to win the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. On the following episode, Charlotte Flair asked for her rematch at WWE Fastlane. The former WWE Raw Women’s Champion is undefeated in PPV events since making her debut on the main roster.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. Enzo and Big Cass
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson became the new WWE Raw Tag Team Champions after defeating Cesaro and Sheamus at WWE Royal Rumble. The rematch didn’t go well for Cesaro and Sheamus after Enzo and Cass interfered in the match. Cesaro then defeated Enzo on the following episode of WWE Raw but on the latest episode, Enzo and Cass won against the former WWE Raw Tag Team Champions to become the number one contenders. Enzo and Cass will look to win the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships for the first time at WWE Fastlane.
Kevin Owens vs. Goldberg
Goldberg did not win the Royal Rumble match but does have the opportunity to become the WWE Universal Champion if he wins against Kevin Owens. Goldberg has already accepted Brock Lesnar’s challenge for a match at Wrestlemania 33 but fans are currently wondering how the match at WWE Fastlane will go as he has looked almost unstoppable since returning last year. The match between Kevin Owens and Goldberg was scheduled after Goldberg challenged him during a segment. Chris Jericho accepted the challenge for Kevin Owens and the match was later added to the PPV event. Kevin Owens will not have Chris Jericho’s help anymore as he recently attacked him during the Festival of Friendship. Will this lead to a loss for Owens at WWE Fastlane or will the current WWE Universal Champion have a big victory against Goldberg? We’ll find out in a few days.
WWE Fastlane takes place on Sunday, March 5. The kickoff show will begin at 7 P.M. EST/4 P.M. PST.
