The Moto X, Moto G, Moto E series and a few other smartphones from Lenovo – Motorola all have one thing in common, they are some of the most affordable phones in the smartphone market. The Moto X series hasn’t returned in nearly two years but the phone remains a good option for those looking to spend less than $300 on a smartphone. The same goes for the super affordable Moto E series and the Moto G, which recently returned with the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus.
Motorola has plenty of affordable smartphones in the market but the company could be thinking about debuting a new series called Moto C. Like the phones mentioned above, the series could be part of the affordable phones lineup that Motorola is known for. According to a report from VentureBeat’s Evan Blass, the Moto C and Moto C Plus will target first time smartphone buyers.
Moto C and Moto C Plus
The Moto C and Moto C Plus could come with a 5-inch display with 854 x 480 pixel resolution and 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. Not a lot was revealed by the gadget leaker but his Twitter post does reveal an image of the phone in four different color options, including gold, red, black and silver.
The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus returned this year but with one less version than what we saw last year with the Moto G4 Play, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. The Moto G4 Play was the most affordable of the three and while only two have returned for the fifth version, the rumored Moto C series is now being rumored as the entry level to the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, which were announced back at MWC in February.
Motorola has not confirmed anything about the phones but it appears that they could be planning an even more affordable phone. What do you think about the rumored Moto C series? Are you using any Lenovo – Motorola phones? Let us know in the comments.
