WWE Superstar Shakeup – Biggest Winners and Losers

The WWE superstar shakeup earlier this week gave the WWE Raw and SmackDown new faces to work with for the next year or for whenever there is another draft. The two rosters received great superstars and while some moves make sense, other moves have us wondering if this will really help a superstar. Here are the biggest winners and losers of the WWE superstar shakeup:

Winners For WWE Raw and SmackDown

AJ Styles (SmackDown) – It was rumored that AJ Styles would be moving to WWE Raw to unite with his friends Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. That never happened as AJ Styles, who recently held the WWE Championship on SmackDown, remains in the roster and will now be competing for the WWE United States Championship.

The Miz (Raw) – The Miz had a great time on WWE SmackDown, winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship two times. He also had a good feud with Dolph Ziggler and John Cena. It will be interesting to see what happens with The Miz as he has been on fire recently. Imitating John Cena is getting a little old, so hopefully we see him back to his WWE Intercontinental Championship days soon.

The New Day (SmackDown) – The former tag team champions did everything on WWE Raw, including breaking the record for the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions at 483 days. After losing the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships to Cesaro and Sheamus, The New Day seemed to be out of the title picture. They didn’t even have a match on Wrestlemania 33, so it will be interesting to see how they do against new tag teams on the WWE SmackDown roster.

Alexa Bliss (Raw) – The two time WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion will now be competing against superstars such as Bayley, Nia Jax and Sasha Banks. The move makes sense as she had already faced all superstars in the SmackDown women’s division.

Charlotte (SmackDown) – Charlotte moving to WWE SmackDown is also a great move as she had already compete against all superstars in the WWE Raw women’s division many times. She not only competed against Sasha Banks a number of times last year but also competed against Bayley and Nia Jax a few times. Charlotte is a four time WWE Raw Women’s Champion and it probably won’t be long before we see her competing for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Kevin Owens (SmackDown) – Owens faced some of the strongest competitors in the WWE Raw roster while he was the WWE Universal Champion. Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins all competed against him. The move is great as he could now face other superstars in WWE SmackDown. We could also end up seeing another Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn soon since he is also part of the WWE SmackDown roster.

Losers For WWE Raw and SmackDown

Bray Wyatt (Raw) – His move to the WWE Raw roster was one of the most surprising of the superstar shakeup. Wyatt, who recently held the WWE Championship, will be facing Randy Orton at WWE Payback. The move now has some fans thinking that Randy Orton will most likely win the match as a win by Bray Wyatt would leave SmackDown without its biggest championship.

Jinder Mahal (SmackDown) – After a good run on WWE Raw these last few weeks, Jinder Mahal was moved to the SmackDown roster. This could be a good thing for him later but his move did not start well for him as he lost to Mojo Rawley in his first match. It is the second time he loses to Mojo Rawley this month after a Rob Gronkowski interference.

Kalisto (Raw) – The former WWE United States Champion should have been moved to WWE Raw a while ago as his time in WWE SmackDown was not very good. He did feud with Baron Corbin for a little bit but that was about it. Rumors say he might begin competing in the Cruiserweight division, which is something that should have been done when the division returned last year.

Erick Rowan (SmackDown) – Rowan recently returned to WWE SmackDown after an injury left him out of action for months. His return had us wondering if The Wyatt Family would reunite but now Bray Wyatt has moved to WWE Raw. Will this lead to a tag team between Luke Harper and Erick Rowan?
