Motorola Gamepad Moto Mod Now Available For Pre-Order On Verizon

Motorola’s Gamepad Moto Mod is close to its release and customers can now pre-order in the US through Verizon. The Gamepad Moto Mod was announced in June along with a few other products from Motorola. The price is $79.99.

The Motorola Gamepad Moto Mod can be used on any of the Moto Z phones. The accessory is attached to the back of the phone and turns the device into a portable gaming console. The accessory comes with a D-pad, buttons and control sticks on each side.

The Motorola Gamepad Moto Mod can be easily attached to a Moto Z phone and users don’t have to use any wires or turn on the Bluetooth option to get started. The Gamepad Moto Mod has a 1035 mAh built-in battery and the company says it has up to eight hours of battery life.

The Moto Mod was one of a few products announced by the company back in June. The gamepad was one of the most expensive accessories announced at the event for the Moto Z but it is a good option for those who like to play games on their smartphone. At the same event, the company announced the Moto Z2 Play, Moto Style Shells and JBL SoundBoost 2.

Pre-orders for the gamepad are available on Verizon and according to a report from GSMArena, the accessory will be a Verizon exclusive for now. The report also mentions that the sale of the gamepad won’t be limited to Verizon customers and will be open to all. The gamepad Moto Mod will begin shipping on August 25.

Earlier this year, the company announced that it would release twelve new Moto Mods in 2017. The gamepad was one of the first announced this year, so Motorola might unveil more in the next few months.
