Another WWE PPV is almost here and it promises to be a very good one as there are a total of eight matches. WWE No Mercy has five title matches, including one fans have been waiting to see for a very long time. The event also seems to have an interesting change as there are some first time matches such as John Cena vs. Roman Reigns. Here is everything to know about WWE No Mercy:
WWE No Mercy has a total of eight matches but only one has been added to the kickoff show. One or two other matches may be added tomorrow.
Elias vs. Apollo Crews (Kickoff Show)
Apollo Crews will be facing Elias in the kickoff show. Elias has been very close to a title match, most recently in the battle royal for a title opportunity against the WWE Intercontinental Champion. It’s been a different story for Crews, who would probably get in the WWE Intercontinental Championship race with a win here.
The Miz vs. Jason Jordan
The Miz will be facing Jason Jordan after the former American Alpha member won a six-pack challenge that included superstars such as Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas and Elias. In recent weeks, Jordan has had impressive matches against John Cena and Roman Reigns. The two matches have resulted in losses but have proven that he is a tough competitor. Jordan has already won a championship in the WWE SmackDown Tag Team division but this time, he has the chance to win as a singles competitor.
John Cena vs. Roman Reigns
John Cena recently returned to WWE Raw as a free agent and had an interesting segment with Roman Reigns. After trading insults and competing in tag team matches together, a contract signing was done to confirm a match between them at WWE No Mercy.
Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman
Brock Lesnar was thrown through two tables by Braun Strowman at WWE SummerSlam. Lesnar won that match but after that impressive display by Strowman, it was pretty much clear that he would be the number one contender for the WWE Universal Championship. The two have warned and attacked each other since. Strowman has never held a WWE title, will that change on Sunday?
Neville vs. Enzo Amore
A few weeks ago, Amore made his Cruiserweight debut on 205 Live. Amore later competed in a six man tag team match. They won that match and were later told that they had qualified for a fatal five way elimination match that would determine the number one contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. The match was won by Amore, who will now compete for his first title as a Cruiserweight superstar.
Alexa Bliss vs. Jax vs. Emma vs. Banks vs. Bayley
Alexa Bliss will be facing four other superstars in a fatal five way match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. Sasha was the first one added to the match because she asked for her rematch. Emma and Nia Jax were later added after defeating Sasha and Alexa in a tag team match. Bayley recently made her return and was also added to the match.
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus and Cesaro
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will face Sheamus and Cesaro after winning the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships at Summerslam. Cesaro and Sheamus asked for their rematch shortly after. In the latest episode of WWE Raw, the former tag team champions left with a win after defeating the champions and Gallows and Anderson.
Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
Finn Balor, who used his Demon King character, defeated Bray Wyatt at WWE Summerslam. A few weeks later, Wyatt made a surprise appearance in a battle royal to determine the number one contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Wyatt helped eliminate Balor from the match and on the following episode, he addressed his interference. Wyatt made an appearance and told him that he had been defeated by the Demon King and not Balor. Wyatt then challenged Balor for a match at WWE No Mercy.
WWE No Mercy starts at 7:00 p.m. ET with the kickoff show, which has one confirmed match so far.
