Spring is approaching quickly, with warmer weather and the sun finally coming out to visit more and more, and this means that local St. Paul, MN, restaurants are gearing up for patio season. Patio season is when all of the local bars, clubs, and restaurants start putting out the tables and chairs, getting ready for customers who want to stay outside and enjoy the nice weather. Here are just some of the local restaurants that have already at least partially opened up their patios to begin the outdoor dining festivities.
Doc’s Landing Pub at Mississippi Dunes
Doc’s Landing Pub at Mississippi Dunes is beginning to setup for the outdoor eating season, although the garden bar and outdoor kitchen won’t be open until April or May. Right now, you can sit outside to enjoy beverages, but the full menu isn’t available quite yet. They are located at 10351 Grey Cloud Trail, Cottage Grove, and you can contact them at 651-768-7611. Here you will be able to see eagles and deer, all the while sitting right by the Mississippi River, and you will also be able to get salads and burgers, so it’s a quaint and very zen-like experience that you will really love.
Muddy Waters Bar and Grill
Muddy Waters Bar and Grill is located at 231 Broad St. in Prescott, Wis., and you can reach them at 715-262-5999. You will find a multi-tiered patio that has views of the Mississippi River and St. Croix River, making it a great place to take a date or go on a romantic adventure. There is also a covered deck and an outdoor bar, so this place is everything you could want or need in a great riverfront restaurant.
W.A. Frost is located at 374 Selby Ave. in St. Paul, MN, and you can contact them at 651-224-5715. This is one of the best restaurants around with a very large patio featuring fancy stonework and a beautiful garden to feast your eyes upon. This place is a very romantic experience at night when they light up the entire patio
Stella’s Fish Cafe
Stella’s Fish Cafe is located at 1400 W. Lake St. in Minneapolis, MN, and you can reach them by phone at 612-824-8862. This is a very trendy restaurant that has a two-tiered deck and is one of the leading rooftop patio restaurants in the city.
Brit’s Pub is located at 1110 Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis, MN, and you can contact them at 612-332-3908. They have front patio seating available right now, and the multi-tiered patio is currently open to cocktails only until the season officially begins.
Pier 500 is located at 500 First St. in Hudson, Wis., and you can contact them at 715-386-5504. They are known for their contemporary décor and their menu, but they also have great views of the St. Croix River and the pier. This is one of those great outdoor dining experiences that will leave you feeling not only full, but tranquil as well.
LA Grolla is located at 452 Selby Ave. in St. Paul, MN, and you can contact them by phone at 651-221-1061. Right now, they do have the patio open but it can be closed if the weather decides to turn bad again. This is a great Italian restaurant here you can eat some of the most fresh pasta dishes you’ve ever had, but also enjoy the view from the two-tiered patio.
Burger Moes is located at 242 W. Seventh St. in St. Paul, MN, and you can contact them at 651-222-3100. You can sit underneath bright canopies that accentuate the colors and décor, making this one of the most peaceful outdoor dining experiences you can have.
Water Street Inn
Water Street Inn is located at 101 S. Water Street in Stillwater, and you can reach them at 651-439-6000. This is one of those historic restaurants where you can go to see the views of the St. Croix River and the Stillwater Lift Bridge. There are currently two patios open right now, with the third opening up a few weeks from now. The menu is classic to the historic pub style of this restaurant and you will really enjoy sitting outside looking at the wonder around you.
Salut Bar Americain
The Salut Bar Americain is located at 917 Grand Ave. in St. Paul, MN, and you can contact them at 651-917-2345. They have a large patio that sits right out in front of Grand Avenue, which is partially open at the current time, although sometimes the weather might close it down since it’s still a little early in the season. There is pretty good French-American cuisine offered here, but even if that’s not your style, you have to come just to sit outside and enjoy the view of the busy streets.
