In 2014 her label denied rumors of her plans to do a Beyoncé-esque surprise release, and in financial statements submitted at the end of that year, stated that there would be no release from Adele during the 2014 year.
In early 2015, it was reported by Music Business Worldwide that “sources close to Team Adele” stated both “The album will be released when it’s ready – [we] hope that will be at some stage in 2015. That’s all I can tell you right now.” and “logically, there is now almost no chance” [of the LP being ready for release before the second half of 2015]; however, the exact identities and thus credibility of said sources cannot be determined from the information provided in the report. Even when assuming these sources are credible, at no point in 2015 did an agent of Adele officially state “there will not be a new album for at least another year, possibly longer”.

If you want to write a negative story about the musical future of Adele, at the least you could get your facts straight.
