PlayStation Plus Free Games For September

September is right around the corner and PlayStation Plus members are ready to download the new free games. This lineup will include a game that users voted on.

The Vote To Play program, which was announced through a PlayStation blog, gave users the chance to vote for the game they wanted for free next month. Only one game won but the runner-ups will be offered with a discount.

The winner is Grow Home for the PS4. Zombie Vikings and Armello will get a 30 percent discount for the first 15 days of September.

Grow Home (PS4)

This one is an adventure platform that was first released on February of this year. The PS4 version, which will be introduced with PS Plus, is the winner of the Vote To Play program. The game follows a robot named B.U.D. who has to go around looking for supplies.

The experimental project received solid reviews, on GameRankings it has a 75 percent based on 23 reviews and in Metacritic, it has a 75 score. The game has been praised for its rock climbing and animation but criticized for its length.

Teslagrad (PS4/PS3)

Teslagrad is a 2D puzzle-platform game. It was released on PS3 and PS4 late last year.

TeslagradIn the game, you get to play as a young boy who is trying to survive against the king and his guards. The game features few combat segments but has several puzzles that will keep you entertained for hours.

The game has received positive reviews. GameRankings and Metacritic gave the PlayStation 4 version 75 percent based on 4 reviews and 77 out of 100 based on 11 reviews. It was praised for its hand drawn artwork but criticized for its difficulty.

Super Time Force Ultra (PS4/PS Vita)

This one is an action and shooter video game first released August 25, 2014. It will make its debut for the PS4 and PS Vita September 1.

In Super Time Force Ultra, your mission is to go back in time and erase all the dumb mistakes the world has made. You’ll be in charge of an elite squad that will do anything to stop the events from happening. The game features 16 characters and events in six different time periods.

Xeodrifter (PS4/PS Vita)

This one is an action adventure video game that was first released for the 3DS in December of last year. In the game, you’re put in the boots of an astronaut who is forced to make an emergency landing, and must visit four planets in order to repair his spaceship. In the game, you get to visit different planets, all with different environments. The game is similar to the Metroid series.

Twisted Metal (PS3)

Most of us have heard of this one but for those who haven’t, Twisted Metal Twisted Metal PS3is a vehicle combat video game and a reboot of the franchise. The game focuses heavily on multiplayer combat, including various online game modes.

The story features various chapters of the most popular characters including Sweet Tooth.

It received solid reviews and was praised for its multiplayer and gameplay but it was heavily criticized for the lack of characters and short story mode.

La Mulana EX (PS Vita)

La Mulana is the original archeological ruins exploration action title that reminds us of the games from back in the days. La Mulana EX is an improved version of that, with gameplay tweaks and puzzles that have been slightly altered. The EX version comes with more languages and improved translations.
