Xiaomi’s Mi 5 flagship smartphone has been talked about for months now and customers still don’t know what it will feature or what its price will be. In the last two weeks, a number of images of the phone have surfaced, many showing a different design than others. The Mi 4 has been out for a while now and technology has advanced so much that fans can’t wait to buy Xiaomi’s next smartphone.
There is now a new source that shows some of the specs that the phone will bring when it is released this year or next. A retailer put up a listing of the phone, which detailed the specs of Xiaomi’s next release. Some of the details actually match some of the rumors we have seen these last few months, but there is also new information.
According to the listing, which was taken down a few hours later, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will have a 5.5 Quad HD display (2560 x 1440 pixels) with a density of 515 ppi. As mentioned in past rumors, the smartphone will feature the new Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4GB of RAM. The Mi 5 is expected to have three versions: 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. According to the latest rumors, none will have a microSD card slot.
The Mi 5 is also expected to have a 20MP camera and 8MP front camera. The device will also have a 3,800 mAh battery. The listing also showed the price, which was at $599. The listing did not show which of the versions would come with that price. Many say it is for the most expensive model, but we’ll have to wait and see when a release date is finally announced.
Xiaomi recently introduced the Redmi Note Prime and a few other products. Next year will be big for the company as they are currently working on a laptop that will be offered at a great price. The Mi 5 could also be released next year. Rumors recently said that the device would come at the end of December, but other sites reported that the Mi 5 would be out early next year. According to the CEO of the company, the Mi 5 is worth waiting for. His words seem to be true as the specs we just saw on the listing are really good, now we just have to wait for an official release date.
