Bundy is accused of breaking several laws and IS NOT a political prisoner (unless people arrested for crimes and refusing to pay what they owe are now part of a new political movement). A jury will decide his case, hopefully soon.
He could have avoided the whole thing by either paying his grazing fees or removing his cattle as ordered by the court more than once (instead he increased his herd, allows them to roam on highways causing accidents, and doesn’t brand or vaccinate some of them. So much for good ranching practices). Bundy has never stated that the grazing fees are too high (they are heavily subsidized by the feds – look it up) or that he couldn’t afford to pay them. He stubbornly continues to have animosity against the federal government (he said “He obeys almost NO federal laws”). He and his supporters don’t seem to realize that if the state of NV was given that federal land, it would likely be sold to private parties. The states don’t have the $$$ to manage the land and pay to put out the more frequent wildfires in the West.

They’ve burned/set more ” necessary ” fires on these lands than any of
these ranchers ever have. I don’t think the tortoise probably fared well

Yes, I’m disappointing in Cliven’s racists comment, that
I was adamantly disgusted by. However the real point of this remains;
that what the Bundy’s are standing up for isn’t some terrorists
rebellion it is a patriotic fight for our constitutional rights and the
prevention of the BLM’s unnecessary and UNLAWFUL greed.

Though
Ammon’s manner of which he’s rebelling and trying to get ” We the
people’s ” attention may seem terroristic, it may just have come to
that. Votes and letters and petitions have fallen on deaf ears. And
ironically enough, it was a civil war that freed the African-American
people. Was that a TERRORISTS act too?

Now thanks to the BLM and government greed and their failure to
listen to the people, maybe another civil war will become the only
option. I hope not. But things can’t go on like they are. One little
right after another is being taken from us, until eventually, freedom
will be the endangered one.
