The tablet made its debut a few months ago at an unbeatable $49.99. The price was the main attraction and it immediately became a hot seller for the retailer. The 7-inch Fire tablet features a 1024 x 600 IPS display, rear and front facing cameras and you can insert a microSD card for up to 128GB of additional storage. It also has a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor.
The device features and updated user interface with Fire OS 5 and is almost two times more durable than the latest iPad Mini, according to Amazon.

- The RAM is 1GB, not the greatest but it’s decent for a tablet with this price.
- 8GB of internal storage (4.5GB available to user). Not a lot of storage but that can easily be expanded with the microSD.
- Battery life is around seven hours if you surf the web, listen to music or watch videos throughout the day. It really depends on how much you use it. It fully charges in under six hours if you use the power adapter included in the box.
- The rear facing camera is 2MP.
- It also comes with additional features such as external volume controls, Bluetooth and speakers.

The device does not have the specs you find in a $100 to $300 tablet but it’s good enough to watch videos, listen to music and read.
