Harvesting
Harvesting a crop takes a lot of time. Some plants take up to four to eight hours to grow and harvest. It is a good idea to plant crops that have longer amounts of time to harvest when you’re away or not using your computer for that time period. You need to tend the crops after the time period or the crops will become useless.
Earning
If you want to earn more money and XP the shortest way, you need to know how much the seeds cost and their return of investment. Like planting soybeans, for example, costs 15 coins and you can sell them for up to four times the amount you paid, but the drawback is that it takes longer time to grow. If you play more often, it’s best to grow plants that has a short harvesting period.
Take for instance a strawberry. It costs 10 coins to plant, sells for 35 coins, and takes up to four hours to grow them. Compared to soybeans, strawberries are the best choice for making money because of the shorter amount of time to grow them as long as you can harvest them every four hours.

XP BONUS
Crops that takes days to grow gives you two XP bonus and shorter ones give you one XP bonus. If you’re playing multiple times in one day, then it’s good to grow crops that have shorter harvest times because it grows quickly and you can plant another one immediately. If you play too often, then go for the two XP bonus crops.
There’s a good strategy that gives you a quick and good amount of experience, and that is buying hay bales, selling them, and repeat the process. It can give you up to five XP bonus at the cost of 100 coins, and you can also sell it for five coins, so that’s basically 95 coins for 5 XP bonus. If you have extra coins lying around, say 20,000 coins to spend, you could have 1,000+ XP bonus.
Another way to obtain XP is to plow and plant soybeans, dig it up, rinse and repeat. This costs 25 coins but in return gets 3 XP bonus.

PEOPLE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Having neighbors in this game helps to grow your farm or to make money, and the more your neighbors, the larger you can build your farm. Of course, larger farms means more plants to grow and harvest. You can also help your neighbors in exchange for money and XP by fertilizing plants or removing weeds.
The best way to have neighbors is by asking your friends to play and accept you as their neighbor and you will get rewards for that. Even if your friends are inactive players, you’ll still get rewards as long as they accepted you as their neighbor. Simply click on “My Neighbors” to view your friends who are playing the game already.
And if you have more neighbors, it is a good idea to expand your farm, but be careful when expanding without budgeting your money. Many players tend to expand too early and then found out they had no cash to do something with that land. If you have maybe 20,000-30,000, then it’s time to expand.
