You can always search for a replacement, but if you were seriously osessed with Xfire, then things won’t be the same again. It may sound weird, but Xfire had it’s own charm. Also, a lot of us had lost contact with their Xfire friends, and it’s nearly impossible to find them again. Also, go to FB and read the comments on the “new” Xfire’s page… I’ve never seen anyone who liked this more than the old…

Skype is absolute garbage for serious comms when gaming. Damn software hogs your RAM and on top of that has terrible quality. Let’s not forget it taking the focus when a call comes in or drops. Also, video calling for gaming? Really?

I’d use it any day over Skype or TeamSpeak. As much as I like Steam now, Xfire had a charm that Steam just cannot replicate. From the statuses to the community, it was great. Hell, I’d use both if I could.
