10 WWE Superstars Who Starred In Popular Films

WWE Superstars entertain us every week on WWE Raw, Smackdown, PPVs and many other events. The roster is full of superstars who can go out there and have a great match. But sometimes, wrestling is not their only way of entertaining us. Over the last few years, we have seen plenty of WWE superstars make appearances or star in films. Some have made brief appearances while others have retired and are now focusing in an acting career. Here are ten WWE superstars who have also appeared or starred in popular films:

John Cena

John CenaJohn Cena has been really successful in the WWE, winning lots of title matches and becoming one of the most popular superstars in the roster. The WWE superstar also holds the title for most wishes granted by a single individual through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. But he’s not done there, he’s also appeared in many movies. Cena has acted in movies such as The Marine, 12 Rounds and Trainwreck. Oh and if you’ve been waiting for him to return from injury, WWE has announced that he’ll be back for the next episode of WWE Raw on Monday.

Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash is a popular name in wrestling and now in films. The big man has appeared in films like The Longest Yard, The Punisher, Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL. His next appearance is on House Rules, which will be released this year.


Batista had a great WWE career and recently returned for another title run. But he has also appeared in many popular films. Just a few months ago, he appeared in the latest James Bond movie. He has also been in Guardians of the Galaxy and The Scorpion King 3. Next year, he’ll be in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

The Rock

The Rock is a WWE Legend and usually makes one or two appearances for the company every year. Fans watched him face the Wyatt Family at this year’s Wrestlemania. But when The Rock is not wrestling or making fans laugh during a segment on WWE, he is acting. We watched The Rock in Hercules and San Andreas recently but he is also part of the Fast and Furious movies. Next year, The Rock will be in Baywatch, which currently has a release date in May 2017.

The Miz

The Miz has been WWE Champion and is currently the WWE Intercontinental Champion. But he has also started an acting career with movies like The Marine 3 and The Marine 4. His latest appearance was in Santa’s Little Helper, a movie that follows a businessman who was fired from his job and then joins a competition to get the chance to work with Santa.


Goldberg left the WWE after Wrestlemania 20 but fans haven’t forgotten about how good he was in the ring. Before joining the company, he had already appeared in a few movies. In 1999, he appeared in Universal Soldier: The Return. In 2003, he appeared in Looney Tunes: Back In Action and two years later, in The Longest Yard. No one knows if Goldberg will ever return to WWE for one more match but fans have been waiting to hear that music and see him make that cool entrance.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold Steve Austin is very popular in the WWE and fans go crazy whenever they hear his music for a surprise appearance. He also interviews other WWE superstars in the WWE Network but he’s also become an actor. He was in The Longest Yard and in The Condemned.

Big Show

The Big Show has done a lot in his WWE career, he has won many championships and matches. But he’s also been acting for a long time. He made his acting debut in 1996, in Jingle All the Way and Reggie’s Prayer. He then appeared in Knucklehead and the 2015 film Vendetta.


Kane has been wrestling for a while now and was recently part of The Authority. But he’s also appeared in a few films. In 2006, he was in See No Evil, a horror film that follows a group of criminals who are sent to clean a hotel. Eight years later, he returned for See No Evil 2, which now followed a group of medical students. See No Evil made close to $19 million at the box office.

Triple H

Triple H recently made his return to wrestling after being part of The Authority. He won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble at lost it at Wrestlemania 32. But what many fans don’t know is that he’s actually appeared in a number of movies. He appeared in Blade: Trinity and the 2011 drama/crime film Inside Out. His most recent film appearance was in 2015, where he starred in The Chaperone.
