The majority of the world’s population cannot live without a smartphone. These entertaining devices allow us to communicate with family and friends, watch videos, take pictures and do many other things. But technology is not perfect and smartphones usually run out of battery in less than a day. There are a few that perform better in this category, giving us more battery life. That’s great but smartphone makers are also giving us fast charging technology, so we don’t have to wait hours for our smartphone to charge.
Good battery life and fast charging technology are not found on all the latest smartphones, but there will soon be many more smartphones with that in the market. Here are five smartphones that currently have good battery life and fast charging technology:
Motorola’s Latest Smartphones
Motorola gave customers fast charging and good battery life with the Moto X smartphones released last year. The Moto X Pure Edition arrived with a 3,000 mAh battery and the Moto X Force with a 3,760 mAh battery. Motorola called TurboPower charging the world’s fastest, giving us up to 8 hours of power with a 15 minute charge. Fast charging returned this year with the release of the Moto G4 smartphones. Lenovo-Motorola will release a few other smartphones later this year, so we will probably see fast charging on them too.
The Moto G4 will be released on July 12 and the Moto Z later this year.
Samsung Galaxy S7
Samsung had fast charging for the Galaxy S6 but the technology is also on one of its latest smartphones, the Galaxy S7. Adaptive Fast Charging recharges the Galaxy S7 up to 50 percent in around half an hour, based on laboratory testing. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is one of the priciest in this list but it brings a 3,000 mAh battery, which is an improvement over the 2,550 mAh battery of the Galaxy S6.
Huawei P9 Plus
The Huawei P9 Plus impressed experts and customers with its camera but the smartphone comes with a few other improvements. The battery is 3,400 mAh but the best addition seems to be the quick charging capabilities, which provides six hours of talk time after ten minutes of charging. The Huawei P9 Plus comes with a big price tag but it has impressed with its camera and includes fast charging, which is something many customers are looking at when buying a new smartphone.
Oppo announced its fast charging technology a few months ago and it quickly caught the attention of many. The Super VOOC fast charging technology has the most impressive numbers when it comes charging an empty battery, the company claims it is able to charge a 2,500 mAh battery in just 15 minutes.
The OnePlus 3 was recently released and the smartphone includes the fast charging technology. The phone comes with a 3,000 mAh battery and a great price. But one of its biggest additions seems to be the Dash Charge, which will make users very happy. This fast charging technology allows the OnePlus 3 to charge two thirds of its battery in just 30 minutes. The OnePlus 3 didn’t bring wireless charging, which many thought would be part of the phone, but Dash Charge is good idea.
Oh and the smartphone is now invite free, which means customers can now order the phone without having to wait.
Fast charging is now part of many smartphones today and the technology should appear in many more later this year. It will be interesting to see if other smartphone makers reduce charging times even more soon. We’ll keep you updated if that happens.
