I watched Michelle at the Open at Sahalee this year. I predicted that she'd be lucky to make the cut. She was all over the board with her swing. It was tight, hesitant, and completely lacking in confidence. Michelle should take a hiatus from the tour and just work on her swing. It needs to be more free flowing with less strain. She might even review some of the "older swings" of past champions, such as Snead, Ernie Els, and Johnny Miller. The "modern" swing is designed to develop too much tension in the spine (witness all of the back problems of today's players). I almost cried (big fan of Michelle's) watching her swing comparing it to the younger Wie ... not so much as going back to the flexibility of a teen but the ease and confidence with which she swung. You can't swing with tension and her swing seems full of tension (though I haven't seen it except on video at the Evian) and you can't win on tour or even compete well playing that way.
