In reply to Æmma Faith Strickland. He has won 4 Ivor Novello awards for writing, and is nominated to be one of the several chosen for the US Songwriter Hall of Fame 2017. Goodness, he better win. Last year, one of my faves, Cyndi Lauper was entered. George hopefully has a new album out in the spring. I look forward to his video production, though, that's coming soon. Yes, we love George!

George Michael is the writer & performer of the last century. He’s an absolute GENIUS. His live shows prove his talent & ability. Just flawless.
Despite the documented success of “Older”, it’s one of the finest albums ever written.
We fans love him because we’ve kind of grown up with him, we’ve been young, fell in love, lost, grieved & healed right along side him. His albums have been cathartic for many of us, as he documents his pain & subsequent healing through his lyrics & music. Words could never adequately articulate the power of such transition & growth that’s been had through his music.
There’s no other artist who gets me, or conversely, who I get, more than George. This is why we love him & this is why we call his music the soundtrack to our lives.
Just an absolute GENIUS of an artist & whilst he’s certainly not underrated, I think, contemporarily speaking, he has been, somewhat recently. He’ll always be the best song writer & lyricist of our time.
We love you George!
