Best PlayStation Deals for the Cyber Monday Sales

As Black Friday passes us by, Cyber Monday approaches even more rapidly than before. You see, Cyber Monday is the ideal shopping holiday for those of us who don’t particularly like the idea of jostling through huge crowds or standing in long lines. It’s also well-suited for people who simply aren’t able to get out into stores on Black Friday.

Cyber Monday allows us to kick back, crack open our computers, and take advantage of some fantastic deals. There are countless deals available to Cyber Monday shoppers, but in this article, I’m going to be narrowing my focus on deals that pertain to PlayStation-related products.

PlayStation’s latest console, the PlayStation 4, is one of the more popular next-gen consoles currently available. There are a ton of popular games that can be played on this console, as well. The only real drawback to the PlayStation 4 is its price. On an average day, the console alone will cost you around $300. Luckily, Cyber Monday is not the average day. In this article, I’m going to be highlighting some of the best deals available

PlayStation Console Deals:

  • From Walmart: PlayStation 4 Slim 500GB Uncharted 4 Bundle for $249.00. This particular bundle was standard at this price throughout Black Friday. For $249, you get a 500 GB slim console, a controller, and a copy of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. If you weren’t able to nab this deal on Black Friday, this deal from Walmart makes sure that you don’t miss out completely.
  • From Walmart: PlayStation 3 500 GB Console for $149.00, which is $70.99 off. Say what you will about the PlayStation 4, but the PS3 is still a very solid console on its own. If you’ve never owned one, or if you’re looking to replace your sputtering one, then this deal is for you. Here, you get a console with a ton of space and a controller. You’re getting a big bang for your buck.
  • uncharted-4-ps4-bundle-target-cyber-mondayFrom Target: Uncharted 4 PlayStation 4 Slim 500 GB Bundle for $249.99. I know what you’re thinking. This is the exact same price as the bundle from Walmart! Keep in mind, though, that Target is allowing REDcard members to save 15% on this bundle, too. That means that you could save a lot more on this bundle than you could in some other store! Otherwise, you’re just getting their Black Friday deals, which is still good by all counts.
  • From eBay: PlayStation 4 Slim 500 GB Uncharted 4 Bundle Console + Tomb Raider + The Nathan Drake Collection for $249.99, which is 40% off. This is really a phenomenal deal from eBay. With this, you’re basically getting the standard bundle at the standard price, plus two excellent games alongside it. It’s always expensive to begin a new collection for a new console, and this bundle makes that a little bit easier.

PlayStation Accessory Deals:

  • From Target: DualShock 4 Wireless Controller for $39.99, which is $20 off. The biggest issue with buying a new game console is that they typically only come with one controller. Even worse, official controllers tend to be really expensive. This deal from Target is great, because it allows you to pick them up for a majorly reduced price. This deal is eligible across a wide variety of colors, too: black, white, blue, red, and camo.
  • From Amazon: PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset for $59.99, which is $40 off. If you buy a new PlayStation during Cyber Monday this year, you’re probably going to want to buy this headset to help you during your multiplayer gaming. This is an officially PlayStation-licensed headset, so you don’t have to worry about compatability or build quality with this one. It’s a solid buy, and at this price, it doesn’t break the bank, either.
  • From Best Buy: DualShock 4 Wireless Controller Start Kit Sony PlayStation 4 for $39.99, which is $30 off. This is a weird accessory, so allow me to explain. This adapter kit is meant for use with PS4 Remote Play & PlayStation Now, two features through PlayStation that basically allow you to stream PlayStation games to your PC or Mac from your PlayStation console. I admit that this is a niche buy, but it could prove very useful for the right person.
  • dualshock-4-charging-station-walmart-cyber-mondayFrom Walmart: Power A DualShock 4 Controller Charging Station for PlayStation 4 for $19.00, which means that you’re saving $5.96. As someone who owns a PS4, I can say that the most annoying part of it is that you can only charge your controller through the USB cable while your console is on. This charging station alleviates that issue by allowing you to charge 2 controllers simultaneously through an AC adapter. If you plan on doing a lot of multiplayer gaming, then I think that this is a must-buy.

PlayStation Game Deals:

  • From Walmart: Various Discounts on Select Games. Some of Walmart’s discounts on video games during Black Friday this year were god-tier, and luckily some of their discounts during Cyber Monday are just as good. Notable deals include Titanfall 2 for $28 ($31.96 off), FIFA 17 for $28 ($31.96 off), Battlefield 1 for $27 ($32.96 off), Rise of the Tomb Raider for $35 ($24.96 off), Batman: Arkham Knight for $18.49 ($41.50 off), and Bioshock: The Collection for $39.88 ($20.08 off), among many others.
  • From Best Buy: Select Video Games for $25 each. This deal from Best Buy was one of their best during Black Friday, and it’s great to see it running during Cyber Monday, too. This deal includes The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, Just Dance 2017, Tom Clancy’s The Division, No Man’s Sky, and LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. These are some pretty great games, and the Skyrim deal is a standout among the lot.
  • overwatch-origins-edition-amazon-cyber-mondayFrom Amazon: Overwatch: Origins Edition for $32.99. I don’t like talking about deals on individual games, but this one is just too good to resist. Blizzard usually discounts this version of Overwatch for no less than $35, and that remained the same throughout Black Friday. You’re only saving a little bit more with this deal from Amazon, but it’s still an excellent value. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn’t already own this fantastic team-based shooter.
  • From Amazon: Dishonored 2 Limited Edition for $34.99. Again, I really don’t like talking about discounts on single games, but this is one of Amazon’s biggest Cyber Monday standouts, so I have no problem talking about. Dishonored 2 just came out a short while ago, which makes this discount all the more impressive. The game has been highly praised among fans of the original game, and it is thought to be a solid successor. You’re saving 42% off on this game, which is honestly insane given how new Dishonored 2 is. Don’t miss out on this one!

As you can plainly see, you don’t have to stand out in the cold in order to take advantage of some of these sweet Cyber Monday deals. Many major retailers will be extending their standard Black Friday sales through Cyber Monday, which means that you don’t have to worry about “missing out” on anything special. For PlayStation 4 products, it looks like shoppers can once again count on big box stores like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy to deliver some top shelf savings. However, even though those stores tend to be Cyber Monday go-to’s, you still shouldn’t forget about places like Amazon and eBay, either. These retailers make all of their money through online sales pretty much, so you can imagine that their Cyber Monday sales are worth your time.

Considering the popularity of this console, there is no shortage of places to buy some inexpensive PlayStation products during Cyber Monday this year. Really, it’s just a matter of personal preference. What kind of games are you looking to get? What are your individual needs? What does your budget look like? These are questions that you need to seriously ask yourself if you are gearing up for Cyber Monday this year. Regardless as to what you actually decide to buy, I hope that this article helped you gather a little more information. Happy bargain hunting!
