You see the snow outside? Yeah, that’s right. Winter is coming, and with it all manner of savings. No other time of the year can boast the prices of Black Friday, when the world becomes a capitalist dream land, and your wildest fantasies can come true, assuming you dream of owning expensive camera equipment. Today i will be taking a look at B&H Photo Video, the New York based optical specialist.
B&H Photo Video was founded back in 1973, by Blimie Schreiber and her husband, Herman. The firm is the largest non chain camera shop in the US, with only one store, in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. The company prides itself on the knowledgeability of their staff and the quality of their merchandise. The Ninth Avenue store is a sight to behold, two floors filled to the brim with top of the line products, but the bulk of heir sales is now online. The site is well maintained, and their shopping App is one of the best on the market.
Another firm without a leak yet, but they do have the bulk of their Black Friday Deals available online for perusal. I have taken a look through everything, and culled the list down into what i think are the best deals. If photography and video is you passion, or you want to delve into the world, then you can’t go wrong with B&H.

- Oben CT-2491 Carbon Fiber Tripod was $499.95, Now $299.95 –
A high quality tripod this. Carbon fiber is one of the strongest materials out there, so this thing can take a beating and still functions well. A must ave for outdoor photography. - Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens was $599, Now $299 –
I’m not well versed in the world of aperture and lens, but the mark downs on these items has me enthused. Both this Canon and the Tamron are excellent value for money, and they reviewed well. - Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO Lens for Canon Was $629, Now $549 –

- Apple 13.3″ MacBook Air Laptop Was $999, Now $899 –
10% off a MacBook is fantastic, the things are so expensive than even so small a percentage takes a fair chunk out of the price. If you have been hankering for one, now is a great time to buy. - Apple 15.4″ MacBook Pro Laptop Was $1999, Now $1799
- Apple 13.3″ MacBook Pro Laptop Was $1499, Now $1349
