There’s jingle bells around the corner, but before we can get to the winter wonderland we have to wade through a sea of cranberry sauce and turkey. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, before we all succumb to the post feast sleeps, take a second to remember, Black Friday is tomorrow, and with it all the deals you could possibly want. But say you don’t feel like heading out. The rush is more than you can bear, well that’s alright. It’s 2016, plenty of firms are offering a range of products online too. Including the king of online retail, eBay.
I love eBay, always have. Been using is for more than a decade, to buy, sell and browse. It began in 1995, and was one of the few companies to survive the dotcom bubble. The site began as a place to auction off unwanted items, but has grown into a multi discipline business, with direct sales from eBay and various other sellers. Getting the best deals on Black Friday will lead you down a labyrinthine path, through all manner of online store fronts within, but eBay themselves have published a rather handy ad, with a few choice items coming from them personally.
I have broken it down, and have listed off a few of the better deals below. Be sure to check out the full ad leak at the bottom of the page.
Best eBay 2016 Black Friday Deals
Well, do we have a fair mix of items. I am sure there is something to interest everyone here, and for the full list of discounted items you will have to visit eBay on the day.
750GB Crucial MX300 Internal Solid State Drive $99.99 – This is astounding. you will not find a better price for an SSD this season. 750GB is high enough to replace even a HDD, so using this as primary storage in addition to running games and your OS off is an option. read write speed is blisteringly fast too, 539MB/s read, 510MB/s write. If you use a computer for longer than an hour a day then buy this.
Samsung UN50KU6300 – 50-Inch 4K UHD HDR Smart LED TV – KU6300 6-Series $399 – I don;t see the point in the Smart features of a TV, but this big 4K display is well worth the asking price of $400. The Netflix access out of the box is nice, but I use my computer on my TV anyway. For those that don’t buying this is a bit of a no brainer.
Google Chromecast $25 – For those without a smart Tv, but really really want one, Chrome cast is a great alternative. It adds so many functions to your standard TV, all controlable via your phone. Gone are the days of rummaging for a remote, now all you have to do is open an app. So simple.
GoPro Hero4 Silver $179 – Again, not really my thing, but for all you out there how want a mounted camera, then you are not going to find a cheaper price. The resolution on the Hero4 is impressive, 2.7k ultra wide, and the frame rate on the lower resolutions hit 80.
$200 Sears Gift Card $175 – Money for nothing really. I just thought if you shop at Sears a lot anyway, then this is unbelievable value for money.
Lenovo IdeaPad 700 15.6″ Full HD IPS Notebook Computer, Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.6 GHz, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX950M 4GB RAM $749.99 – I usually hate laptops, but I’ll make an exception here. At this price point the Ideapad is well worth the cash. the hardware here is impressive, and more than up to playing the latest games, on par with a console at the very least. the SSD is icing on the cake, allowing this beast of a build to boot in no time flat. Well worth considering if you want a work statiuoin you can move and play around with.
Apple iPhone 7-128GB-GSM UNLOCKED-USA $709.99 – It’s an iPhone, you already know if you want one, so why not go for a reasonably priced unlocked model. If gives you all the features you want, in addition to the flexibility to move between carriers.
Seagate Expansion 8TB USB 3.0 3.5″ $169.99 – This external drive is amazing. the capacity alone makes it worth looking at, and the quality of the build is very high. A robust exoskeleton protects it from the harshest of treatments. The USB 3.0 connection means that transfers will be faster than your internal HDD, if it is still using older Sata 2, and on par with an SSD on sata 3. Totally worth the asking price.
J.A. Henckels 15-Pc Knife Block Set $79.99 – I love a good set of knives. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, and there are few things worse than using the wrong knife for the job. This full set comes with all you need, from straight and sharp for meats, to long and serrated for breads.
Ninja Coffee Bar Brewer, Glass Carafe: Includes Coffee Bar and Cookbook $79.99 – I have used Ninjas in the past for mixed drinks, and these things are amazing. This is for the coffee connoisseur, who wants their beans ground fresh, and fine.
Zero Gravity Chairs Case Of 2 Lounge Patio Chairs $39.99 – Comfortable outdoor chairs, in case you were looking for comfortable outdoor chairs.
Maximos Men’s Sherpa Lined Sahara Hooded Multi Pocket Bomber Jacket $34.99 – Not line with actual Sherpas, thankfully, but with a fleece material. Comfortable and apparently stylish too.
eBay Black Friday FAQ’s
When does eBay open for Black Friday?
eBay is a website, so it is open 24/7
What is eBay’s Return Policy?
eBay nominally function as an intermediary between customer and seller. If you want to return an item you have 14 days to do so. But only if the seller accepts returns. If they do not, and there is something wrong with your item, eBay has you covered with a money back guarantee, but only if you used Paypal, so bear that in mind. when you return an item the seller has 6 days to issue a refund before you get ebay themselves involved. they open a case, resolve the issue and either the seller pays you directly, or they are fined by eBay and you are payed regardless.
Overall the system used by eBay protects both parties, but ultimately avors the buyer rather than the seller. It is a joy to purchase items, and a joy to be disappointed in said purchased items. Have a great shopping spree everyone.
