WWE Royal Rumble (2017) – Confirmed Entrants and More

WWE Royal Rumble is less than a month away and a few superstars have already confirmed that they will be competing in the match for a title opportunity at Wrestlemania 33. The Royal Rumble will not be the only big match as it was recently confirmed on WWE Raw that Kevin Owens will have to defend his WWE Universal Championship in the event. Here are all the confirmed entrants and everything about the WWE Royal Rumble (2017):

Royal Rumble Match

Only two superstars have confirmed that they will be competing in the Royal Rumble for a title match at Wrestlemania 33. A few weeks ago, many of us thought that Goldberg would not return to the ring after his match against Brock Lesnar at WWE Survivor Series. But he announced on an episode of WWE Raw that he would be competing in the Royal Rumble.

A week later, Paul Heyman announced during an interview that Brock Lesnar would also be competing in that match. He explained that Brock Lesnar now had something to prove after his match at WWE Survivor Series. Brock Lesnar appeared at last year’s Royal Rumble, where he lost his chance to main event Wrestlemania 32 after being eliminated by the Wyatt Family.

No WWE SmackDown superstars have been announced as participants for the match but there are still a few weeks to go before the WWE Royal Rumble. Goldberg and Brock Lesnar competing in the match is huge news but the match is known for its surprising appearances. Last year, we saw the return of Triple H, who began feuding with Roman Reigns. The 2017 Royal Rumble will be a little different from last year’s event as the winner will get to compete for a title match at Wrestlemania 33. The 2016 Royal Rumble was a title match, with Roman Reigns defending the title against 29 other superstars.

The Royal Rumble is one of the most entertaining matches and is known for surprising appearances. In recent editions, we have seen Chris Jericho, Batista and many other superstars make their return there.

WWE Championship

AJ Styles will be defending the WWE Championship at WWE Royal Rumble against a superstar he has already faced a few times in recent months. We’re talking about John Cena, who recently returned to WWE SmackDown and challenged the winner for the title at the event. The title match on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown was won by AJ Styles, who will now face John Cena. AJ Styles has already faced John Cena a few times in recent months but the matches have been very close. John Cena has won numerous titles in WWE and is one title win away from tying Ric Flair’s record of sixteen world championships.

WWE Universal Championship

Kevin Owens recently retained the WWE Universal Championship with the help of Chris Jericho, who has appeared in most of his matches. Chris Jericho attacked Kevin Owens, which led to a disqualification win for him. He later said it was part of the plan so that Owens would retain the title. But on the following episode of WWE Raw, General Manager Mick Foley announced that Roman Reigns would not only get a rematch but that there would be no interference from Chris Jericho. The match will have Chris Jericho suspended above the ring inside of a shark cage.

Roman Reigns was close to winning the WWE Universal Championship at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line. Will Roman Reigns win another title match after a good 2016 or will Kevin Owens continue his run as the WWE Universal Championship?

The WWE Royal Rumble is one of the most entertaining events of the year and fans can’t wait to see what happens. The surprising returns from legends and superstars make this event a must watch. There are four weeks left before the event, so WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown will probably announce more participants in the next few episodes.

The WWE Royal Rumble (2017) will take place on January 29 at the Alamodome in Texas. It will be the 30th Royal Rumble in history. Who do you think is going to win the WWE Royal Rumble (2017)? Which superstars would you to like to see make an appearance in the match? Let us know in the comments.
