Authorities in France have arrested seventeen people, who are believed to have been involved in the robbery that happened back in October in Paris. According to reports, authorities have arrested seventeen people who are part of an armed gang. The group robbed American reality TV star Kim Kardashian in October during her visit to Paris.

The suspects are reportedly known by police in the area as some of them have committed other crimes in the past. Authorities arrested the people in Paris and nearby areas. The group escaped with nearly $11 million in jewelry after they entered the area dressed as police officers. Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint, tied up and locked in the bathroom during the robbery.

According to police, the group took a ring worth millions of dollars and a jewelry box with other pieces worth millions of dollars more. One of the pieces, a diamond cross pendant, was reportedly found nearby a day later. The jewelry piece was apparently dropped by the group as they left the area. Five men are said to have been part of the robbery, with two of them reportedly entering the reality TV star’s apartment.

Authorities revealed that DNA traces led to the arrest. The traces that were left on the scene were from the material used to tie up the reality TV star and the jewelry piece dropped nearby as they left the area. Authorities arrested the seventeen people on Monday in Paris and nearby areas. Investigators have four days to question the people arrested. According to authorities, one of the DNA samples matched someone known to police for robbery and other crimes.

Authorities reportedly tapped the phones of the suspects and heard about meetings between a member of the gang and potential buyers of the jewels stolen from the reality TV star.

After the robbery, Keeping Up With The Kardashians briefly suspended filming. A trailer released a few days ago for the upcoming season of E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians shows Kim speaking about the Paris robbery.
