Moto G5 – The Latest On The Popular Line of Smartphones

The Motorola Moto G4 was only released a few months ago but there are already plenty of rumors and images of what could be the next version of the phone. The Moto G line of smartphones is known for its low price and good specs. The Moto G smartphones made their debut in 2013 and the company has released a new phone ever since. The latest is the Moto G4, which comes in three versions.

The Moto G5 will probably be unveiled later this year but there are plenty of details on what the new version of the phone might bring. Moto G5 rumors and a few images are already appearing on the Internet. Here is the latest on the rumored phone:


A screenshot of the specs was recently posted by The Android Soul and from what can be seen, the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus could have similar specs. The image shows that the two phones have a 5.5-inch display, turbo charging support and octa-core processors. The only difference between the two seems to be on the camera and storage. The screenshot shows that the Moto G5 will have a 13MP and a 5MP front camera while the bigger version will have a 16MP camera and a 5MP front camera. The second difference is on the storage options, which shows that the Moto G5 Plus will be available with 16GB or 32GB of storage while the Moto G5 will only be available with 16GB of storage.

Android 7.0

The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are expected to be released with Android 7.0 Nougat. Motorola has reportedly released the update for the Moto Z and for the Moto G4, which were announced as the first two phones of the company that would receive the update. A few more phones released in 2015 and 2016 will also receive the update this year. The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus could be one of the first phones of the company to launch with Android 7.0 out of the box.

Release Date?

The launch date for the two phones is said to be on March 8 but nothing has been confirmed, so we’ll have to wait for Lenovo to reveal more details about the Moto G5.
