Police Arrest Tiger Woods After He Was Found Asleep At The Wheel

Golfer Tiger Woods was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) after he was found asleep on his car. According to reports, Woods was found in his Mercedes and had the engine running when police got to his car. The police officer also had to wake him up.

Prescribed Medication

Woods said after the arrest that it was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medication. According to a police report published US media, Woods had extremely slow and slurred speech. The result of the tests by police said he was unable to walk alone but that the breathalyzer test showed zero levels of alcohol.

Mr. Woods told police he was taking prescription medications. The golfer is currently recovering from back surgery and is expected to be out at least five more months. It is the fourth back surgery he’s had in his career.

When police found Mr. Woods, he first told them that he was coming back from Los Angeles but then changed his story on where he was coming and going to, according to the police report. Police say he was co-operative but confused throughout the incident.

He finished the statement by saying that he wasn’t fully aware that the mix of medications had affected him so much.
