When talks and predictions about the NBA regular season are discussed by sports channels, the teams we usually hear are the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. The last two seasons have been very predictable, especially after the Warriors signed Kevin Durant. The Western and Eastern conference have really good teams but the Warriors and Cavaliers seem to be the favorites next year. But the difference between last year and this year is that several teams are looking to make big moves to compete against the super teams that have been in the NBA Finals for three straight seasons. The Minnesota Timberwolves have made the first big trade but there could be a lot more soon. Here are 10 NBA moves that could make the regular season a lot better:

Chris Paul To Houston Rockets

Chris Paul is one of the best point guards in the NBA and several teams are said to be interested in signing him. It’s been rumored that the All-Star point guard will give serious consideration to the San Antonio Spurs in free agency. But according to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Houston Rockets are planning to sign a free agent, and he says the team is focusing specifically on Chris Paul. The Houston Rockets currently have James Harden and finding another star would probably make them even better.

Gordon Hayward To Miami Heat

The Miami Heat haven’t had the best regular seasons since LeBron left. But the team could be on its way to being a strong competitor in the Eastern Conference. Last season, the Miami Heat struggled in the beginning of the season but it was a different story in 2017. The team won most of its games and nearly made the playoffs. Bleacher Report recently predicted that Gordon Hayward will sign with the Heat. There is also the possibility that he re-signs with the Utah Jazz or joins the Boston Celtics. But the Miami Heat rumors are surfacing more and more, so it appears that he might be considering a move to South Beach.

Paul George To Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers had a difficult time keeping up with the Golden State Warriors in this year’s NBA Finals. The addition of Kevin Durant made the Warriors nearly unbeatable in the playoffs but the Cavaliers are now looking for an answer. That answer is said to be Paul George, who has already told the Pacers he is leaving after next season when he becomes a free agent. The Lakers are said to be the team he wants to go but the Cavaliers could make a move for George very soon. Just a few hours ago, several sports sites reported that the Cavs, Pacers and Nuggets discussed a deal that would send Paul George to the Cavaliers and Kevin Love to Denver. George would help out the Cavs next season and if decides to leave after that, that would at least open up cap space for another star. Jimmy Butler was also rumored for a move to the Cavaliers but he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves just a few days ago.

Chris Paul To San Antonio Spurs

Chris Paul hasn’t won an NBA Championship but that could change if he decides to join the San Antonio Spurs, a team that’s been very strong in the playoffs for years. The Spurs already have Leonard and Aldridge but the addition of Chris Paul could make them even better. The Spurs are reportedly interested in trading Aldridge but that could give them more space to sign a few other players. The Spurs are also said to be interested in point guards Derrick Rose and Kyle Lowry.

Kyle Lowry To Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves made the first big move by trading for Jimmy Butler just a few days ago. The addition makes them a scary team even though we haven’t watched them play yet. But the Timberwolves might add another player to make things a lot more interesting. According to Mitch Lawrence of SiriusXM NBA Radio, the Timberwolves are interested in signing Kyle Lowry. George Hill, Jeff Teague and Jrue Holiday are also some of the players that the Timberwolves are said to be interested in signing. The Timberwolves adding Butler was a good move but signing Lowry, Hill, Teague or Holiday would make them an even more interesting team to watch in the Western Conference.

Blake Griffin To Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics need more stars if they want to compete against the Cavaliers in the playoffs. Thomas and Horford are great but the team is now looking to add another star. Hayward is one of them but the team is also said to be interested in Blake Griffin, who recently opted out of his contract with the LA Clippers to become a free agent. The Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder are also said to be interested in signing him.

Carmelo Anthony To Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers are said to be a leading contender for Carmelo Anthony if there is a Knicks buyout. In the past, there have been plenty of rumors about Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James playing on the same team. But a move could happen soon if the Knicks decide to completely restructure the entire franchise.

Dwyane Wade To Cleveland Cavaliers

There are two rumored buyout options for the Cavaliers, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade. The Chicago Bulls player may not be happy that the team traded Jimmy Butler and he could attempt to reach a buyout agreement. Wade played with LeBron for four years with the Miami Heat, a team that could also seek a reunion if he decides to leave the Bulls. It is rumored that the Cavs are interested in adding Wade and Anthony and while that sounds unlikely, it would make the Cavs a favorite to win it next year.

Paul George To Miami Heat

Paul George has told the Pacers he is leaving after next season and while the LA Lakers appear to be his favorite option, the Miami Heat could make a trade to have him for at least one season. Trading for George for one season doesn’t sound like the best idea but the move would at least make the Miami Heat a very strong team in the East. The Miami Heat were very close to the playoffs last year and the addition of Paul George could make things a little more interesting in the East.

Chris Paul To New Orleans Pelicans

Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins and Chris Paul would probably make the New Orleans Pelicans a strong team in the Western Conference. Davis and Cousins weren’t enough to get the team to the playoffs last season but it’s rumored that Paul might decide to return to the team he once played for. We don’t know if that’s enough to beat the Golden State Warriors but that would make things even more interesting in the West. Cousins can be a free agent in 2018, so the Pelicans don’t have much time left to convince him to stay.
