HERO True Wireless Earbuds Review – 2018 Update

I think it’s safe to say that most people own a pair of headphones. There are a lot of different models available for purchase. Some people prefer to use over the ear headphones, which are bulkier, but generally offer greater sound quality. Other people prefer in ear headphones, which are much more portable, but generally offer lesser sound quality. For quite a while now, people have been using wireless over the ear headphones. They’re a lot more portable than wired over the ear headphones, and they still offer the same great sound quality. The wireless headphones typically function through Bluetooth. Wireless headphones really helped to keep over the ear headphones relevant, but what if I told you that wireless in ear headphones are becoming more popular? It may be strange to think about, but wireless earbuds are real, and they’re pretty great.

Although wireless earbuds are becoming more and more popular, you may still not be entirely sure where to go if you want to buy a pair. There isn’t really a dominant brand out there, as far as this particular product goes. In this article, I’ll be talking about a very specific set of wireless earbuds made by HERO. I plan on providing a thorough review of HERO True Wireless Earbuds. I will talk about the specific features of these earbuds, while also making sure to talk about whether or not I think that this device is actually worth your time and money. Hopefully, by the time you reach the end of this article, you’ll know a little bit more about HERO’s True Wireless Earbuds, and you’ll have a better idea of whether or not they’re the right wireless earbuds for you. Without further delay, let’s delve right into this review.

Before we get into the technical specs of these wireless earbuds, let’s consider what wireless earbuds actually do. So, when you’re using Bluetooth to listen to music without wires, you have two devices that are essentially controlling each other. Let’s suppose that you’re using your wireless earbuds with your iPod. You want to have the music from your iPod play in your earbuds. In order for this to happen, your earbuds and your iPod need to be able to “talk” to each other. While they’re connected, they actually share an audio file, which contains the song that you plan on playing. This may seem like an intensive process. If you’re dealing with larger audio files, you may worry that Bluetooth won’t be able to handle what you’re trying to push between the two devices. Since the HERO True Wireless Earbuds implements Qualcomm’s AptX CSR, that isn’t really an issue. This helps to reduce the file size of each audio file without reducing quality, which means that you can expect great sound quality without any real problems.

Aside from that neat feature, everything else involved in these wireless earbuds are pretty standard. The adjustable hook, paired with the 2 included sets of ear hooks and ear tips, makes sure that you can get the perfect fit. With anything that’s wireless, it’s only natural to worry about sizing. This is an especially prevalent concern among people who use wireless earbuds, since once of your earbuds falling out could potentially spell disaster. You don’t really have a wire to serve as a safety net. All of the accessories that HERO includes with this product makes sure that you have pretty much all of the tools that you need in order to keep these things inside of your ears at all times. It’s also worth noting that these earbuds are compatible with all Bluetooth devices 3.0 and up, which is basically any Bluetooth device released after 2005. These are some seriously versatile and user-friendly wireless earbuds, that’s for sure.

How well do the HERO True Wireless Earbuds actually work?

So it’s one thing to have a list of all of these great features, but it’s a lot more difficult to actually deliver on these promises. There isn’t really anything more disappointing than spending money on a device, only to realize that it doesn’t really deliver as you expected when you go to use it in real life. Well, I’m happy to tell you that the reviews are in, and they’re very positive. Pretty much everything about these earbuds work as well as you would expect, or better. The battery life on these things is really impressive. (Whenever you have something wireless, battery life is essential.) They can run for about three hours without needing to be charged, and you can take them on the go for around twelve hours without needing to charge them. Although the HERO True Wireless Earbuds aren’t quite as expensive as other wireless earbuds made by big name companies like Samsung, you’ll find that the battery life on these things are superior to the competition.

Of course, when you’re dealing with something like headphones, another really important thing is sound quality. What’s the point in getting audio equipment, only for it to sound terrible? With these earbuds, HERO has proven that big things can come in very small packages. Don’t be deceived by the size of these earbuds. They pack a real punch, and the sound quality is as excellent as you would expect at this price point. These wireless earbuds also features some really impressive range. Your earbuds can be around 20 – 30 feet away from your mobile device without there being any noticeable echo or distortion or general decline in audio quality. I think that this is a pretty great range, and it should work for most set-ups. In short, there aren’t really any major surprises with this one. Everything works exactly as well as it should work, and in some cases, it works even better. The HERO True Wireless Earbuds are truly high quality.

Are the HERO True Wireless Earbuds really worth it?

When you saw the cost associated with these earbuds, you may have been shocked. $150 seems like a lot of money to spend on something like earbuds. Most wired earbuds only cost around $20, and you can get them a lot cheaper than that. However, these aren’t wired earbuds. There are a lot of reasons why I think that wireless earbuds are superior to wired earbuds. First of all, there’s convenience. In every case, something wireless is going to be more convenient to use than something wired. By removing a cord, you’re saving a lot of space. These are earbuds that you can stuff in your pockets easily, and you don’t even have to worry about getting any wires tangled in the process. They’re just easier to carry around, which is obviously good if you’re someone who uses earbuds on the go on a regular basis.

Also, I think it’s important to consider that wireless earbuds have a much larger lifespan than wired earbuds. Wired earbuds can be a little fragile, and people frequently have to replace them due to an issue with the cord. I think a lot of people are familiar with the classic wired earbud issue, where sound will only reach the earbuds when the wire is held in a very specific position. This is a bug that occurs due to damage to the wire itself. When you have wireless earbuds, this obviously isn’t a concern. So if you’re someone who is frequently throwing away broken wired earbuds, you may want to think of something like this as a major investment. You may find that you save a lot of money by not having to replace earbuds on a regular basis. No matter what your reasoning for needing wireless earbuds may be, I highly recommend this particular pair to anyone who is shopping around. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with these.
