Odrvm 4K Action Camera Review

Action cameras are really cool, but they’re also usually pretty expensive. The most well-known action camera is the GoPro. The GoPro was originally created to allow athletes, especially athletes in extreme sports, to record their feats from a first-person perspective. It’s a neat concept for sure, and action cameras have become very popular. Even if someone isn’t into extreme sports, they may use an action camera to document road trips, vacations, or even just for use as a regular camera. They’re versatile devices, but unfortunately, that versatility comes at a high cost. Your average GoPro can cost anywhere between $150 and $399. That’s a little pricey for something that has a relatively niche use. There are a lot of people who may want an action camera, but they may also be intimidated by the large price tag of the GoPro.

Luckily, GoPro isn’t the only name in action cameras. There are actually a lot of different manufacturers of this product, and most of them sell their cameras for cheaper than GoPro. Although you’re paying a much lower dollar amount most of the time, you’re not getting a vastly inferior product. In many cases, the cheaper camera that you’re getting boasts performance that is roughly comparable with the performance of a GoPro. In this article, I’m going to be focusing on one action camera in particular: the Odvrm 4K Action Camera. I will start out just by talking about some basic features that this product has, and then I’ll go on to talk about whether or not I think the Odrvm 4K Action Camera is worth your time and money. Without further ado, I think it’s time that we get right into this review.

Right off the bat, one can determine that this isn’t a bare bones device. Although it’s not as expensive as a GoPro, you’re not sacrificing a whole lot of functionality for the cost. This camera has a ton of different tools available for your use. First of all, I think it’s important to note that this is a waterproof camera. It comes with a waterproof case that enables users to be submerged up to 98 feet in water, which is around 30 meters. There are even settings on the camera that are designed for recording underwater. Due to the nature of water, any footage that you capture down there will be a little dim and less vivid than you might like. This camera drops a red filter on top of your footage to compensate for the lack of red light present underwater, which ensures that whatever you record underwater is as clear as you want it to be. All of these features help make the Odrvm 4K Action Camera perfect for people who want to use an action camera for diving, snorkeling, swimming, or even surfing.

Another really cool aspect of this camera is its built-in WiFi and wireless wrist remote control. Basically, when you purchase this camera, it comes with a controller that can be secured directly onto your wrist. The remote is able to interface directly with the camera, and with just the press of a button you can control the camera in a variety of different robust ways. The built-in WiFi also allows you to easily edit and share your photos or videos, which takes out a lot of the hassle that is typically involved in uploading media that you capture from a camera. The signal from the wrist remote is capable of reaching around 50 feet without anything being in the way. I should warn you, though, that the wireless wrist remote is *not* waterproof like the camera is. Unless you want a broken remote on your hands, then I seriously suggest that you keep it away from the water.

How well does the Odrvm 4K Action Camera actually work?

The reviews for the built-in WiFi are glowing, as well. A feature like this is susceptible to error. Wireless signals are tricky, and it’s easy for them to be weak or inconsistent. However, the WiFi and the remote control are both very positively reviewed. The only real complaint that anyone has with this action camera has to do with battery life. First off, I should note that it’s really cool that this camera actually comes with two batteries. A lot of other action cameras typically only come with one. However, in most situations, users will average around 2 hours of video capturing before a fully charged battery runs out. Although this isn’t bad battery life, it’s something to consider when you buy something like this. If you plan on taking this action camera on a grand adventure, then I seriously suggest that you bring some extra batteries along with you. You’ll probably need them.

Is the Odrvm 4K Action Camera really worth it?

At this price point, the Odrvm 4K Action Camera is much less expensive than a GoPro. However, that doesn’t mean that it still isn’t deserving of an evaluation. Just because something is cheap doesn’t mean that you should just go and buy it without thinking. So with that in mind, let’s consider the value of the Odrvm 4K Action Camera. This is a camera that can be used in a variety of different settings and for a variety of different reasons. Do you want to capture a time lapse of something? You can do that with this camera. Do you want to record first-person footage of your next snorkeling adventure? You can do that with this camera, too. It offers a lot of use, and I think that just about anyone who regularly goes outdoors should find a solid use for this very solid camera. It isn’t something that I think most people would buy and end up never using.

Aside from that, it’s just a good camera. It works well. The image quality is remarkable for the cost. When you purchase this camera, it comes with a ton of different accessories that saves you a lot of leg work. You don’t have to run off and get your own stuff to mount this camera. It comes with it. The only real thing that you need to buy separately is an SD card, since this doesn’t include one. However, the odds are good that you would end up buying your own SD card to begin with. That said you need to make sure the SD card meets the following requirements

  1. Requires a high quality SD card
    2. Must be class 10 or above
    3. You will need to format the SD card in the camera the first time you use it
    4. Capacity range: 16-128GB.

Basically, you don’t have to worry about pouring a lot of money into this camera. I highly recommend the Odrvm 4K Action Camera to anyone who is seeking a new action camera, especially if you’re hesitant to take the plunge by spending a lot of money on a GoPro or something similar. This camera may not cost as much as a GoPro, but it definitely works about as well as one.
