I am surprised this article has no mention of SunnyMarch, the film and television company that Benedict Cumberbatch has not only started up and is the executive producer of, but has major international backing and support.
There is a strong body of work being created by the SunnyMarch team, including Cumberbatch starring vehicles for both Tv and film,
Already in the can and in PP is The Child Of Time, an adaption of the award winning Ian McEwan novel. Just about to start filming is a five part TV series from the remarkable Patrick Melrose novels of Edward St Aubyn; both will star Cumberbatch. He also plans to play the lead in Matt Haig novel How To Stop Time and the Geoffrey Household classic, Rogue Male.
By doing this he is establishing a strong quality body of work to get SunnMarch out of the traps and heading for major acclaim and awards from a standing start.
No major actor has attempted this scale of quality work and input since the time of Fairbanks and Pickford. Give that boy an award!
