Xiaomi has released a number of phones in 2017 but one of the most talked about has yet to make its debut. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, confirmed by the company earlier this year, has been the center of rumors for quite some time. The company has already confirmed that the famous designer will be back to work on the second version but little is known about its design.
There have been plenty of concept images and rumors about what the design might be. But a new leak shows that the company might be working on big improvements. The latest information reveals that the company is working on having more display and improving the not so good features of the Xiaomi Mi Mix.
According to concept images and rumors, the display will now cover most of the front. That was one of the characteristics that made the Xiaomi Mi Mix stand out over the competition and with other companies now doing something similar, Xiaomi is looking to make the Mi Mix 2 nearly all screen.
Rumored Improvements and Concept Images
Recent leaks have shown that the Mi Mix 2 will now feature a dual camera, which is now part of many flagship smartphones. An image from Xiaomi Today recently revealed a design with more screen on the front and a similar glossy and flat look to the Xiaomi Mi Mix. The image showed a dual camera on the back.
Coming Later This Year?
The Xiaomi Mi Mix was one of the most impressive releases of 2016 and while little is known about the next release date, it’s rumored that the phone could make its debut some time in 2017. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8, iPhone 8 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 are all rumored for a debut later this year, so the last few months of 2017 could be very interesting.
