Xiaomi has launched its flagship smartphone in India after skipping a release for the previous version. The flagship device was released in China a few weeks ago and the company had already announced that it would launch the Mi Mix 2 in India at some point.
The wait for Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 fans in India ended today when the company announced the smartphone in a press conference in New Delhi. The series made its debut last year but the phone was released only in China.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is the biggest release in India since the Mi 5, which was released last year. The Mi Mix 2 was announced in early September and has already gone on sale a number of times in China.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 comes with a 5.9-inch display that covers most of the front. Here are the specs for Xiaomi’s latest release:
– 5.99-inch Full HD display.
– Snapdragon 835 processor.
– 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The other variants will only be for China.
– 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
In China, the Mi Mix 2 is available in a number of variants. For India, Xiaomi will only be offering the 6GB and 128GB storage variant. The special edition with 8GB RAM appears to be just for China.
The device was launched less than a year after the release of the Mi Mix, which sold out in just seconds during its first flash sales. The Mi Mix 2 was actually confirmed just four months after the release of the Mi Mix.
The price of the Mi Mix 2 in India will be $552 and the phone will be available in the first week of November. It will go on sale on the official website, Flipkart and many other stores next month.
