The 47 college basketball games are the latest addition to Facebook’s sport content. In September, the company bid $600 million to stream Indian Premier League cricket matches but they turned out to be the second highest bidder. In March, MLS and Univision Deportes announced that 22 matches would be livestreamed through Univision Deportes Facebook Page. Facebook is also rumored to be one of the companies interested on the Premier League rights when the contract expires in 2019.
