A talented actress, Bridgit Mendler is best known for playing Teddy Duncan in the Disney sitcom, Good Luck Charlie. Since then, she has appeared in several other TV shows including So Random!, Good Luck Charlie It’s Christmas, Violetta, and House, to name a few.
On top of her acting career, the twenty-something is also an accomplished singer. In 2012, she released her debut album, Hello My Name Is…. From there, she followed up with two extended plays, Live in London, and Nemesis.
How Bridgit Mendler Became Famous
As an actress, Mendler initially gained attention for her portrayal of Juliet van Heusen in the teen sitcom, Wizards of Waverly Place in 2009. With that said, it wasn’t until 2010 that she rose to fame in the Disney comedy series, Good Luck Charlie, which saw her playing the lead role of Teddy Duncan.
Her best-remembered portrayal to date, it earned her several accolades including three consecutive Kids’ Choice Award nominations as well as two Teen Choice Award nominations in the early 2010’s.
Bridgit Mendler’s Other Acting Roles
Aside from that, she has appeared in several additional TV shows including Lemonade Mouth (2011), So Random! (2011), House (2012), and Jessie (2013), to name a few. For a year, she also starred as Candace in the NBC sitcom, Undateable (2015).
In terms of the big screen, she has also participated in several films over the years such as Alice Upside Down (2007), The Clique (2008), Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 (2011), and Muppets Most Wanted (2014).
Bridgit Mendler’s Music Career
Multi-talented, she has also embarked on a successful music career; her debut album, Hello My Name Is… was released in 2012. since then, she has also come out with the extended plays, Live in London, and Nemesis. Some highlights from said projects include Ready or Not, Hurricane, Determinate, Do You Miss Me at All, and Can’t Bring This Down.
In support of her albums, Mendler has also gone on a few concert tours since her debut.
