Motorola’s MWC 2018 announcement might include the Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus. One of those variants, the Moto G6 Play, is rumored to be making a return after being left out of the Moto G5 release.
The Moto G Play variant made its debut back with the Moto G4, featuring specs similar to the Moto E series. The Moto G4 Play was one of three Moto G4 variants at the time, with the two others featuring much better specs but also at a much higher price.
The Motorola Moto G6 Play is said to be returning this year and now a leak has revealed the design of the smartphone. The leak has also revealed all of the specs, so we now have an idea on what we could see at MWC 2018.
One of the big changes for this year’s Moto G could be the bezel-less design with 18:9 display. Rumors have recently mentioned that all three Moto G6 smartphones will have that.
The leak from CompareRaja and OnLeaks shows a device with a lot of screen on the front and no home button. On the back, there is a single camera surrounded by a cool looking ring. The fingerprint sensor is now located right on the Motorola logo, which sits under the camera.
Here are the rumored specs for the Moto G6 Play:
- 5.7-inch display.
- 12MP camera and 8MP front camera.
- Snapdragon 430 processor.
- Variants with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of storage.
- 4,000mAh battery.
- Android 8.0.
Motorola has not confirmed anything but the devices are said to be coming to MWC 2018. Last year, Motorola launched the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus at the event. This year, the announcements might include more than just the Moto G smartphones. Recent rumors have mentioned that the company is also getting ready to launch a Moto X5 and Moto Z3.
In other Motorola news, the company has announced on social media that it will launch a new Moto X4 variant in India. In the video, the company hints that the new variant might have a different processor or more RAM. Rumors also say that the phone will come with an improved dual camera setup. Motorola did not mention anything about the prices. The launch will happen on February 1.
