Oukitel Unveils The $159 U18

Apple has caught the attention of several companies with its iPhone X design. In recent months, leaks and announcements have revealed several iPhone X look-alikes. The latest is the Oukitel U18.

The Oukitel U18 looks so similar to the iPhone X on the front. The phone has the notch, like many of the iPhone X look-alikes, and a large screen. The iPhone X has the much more impressive screen but side by side comparisons show that the devices are very similar.

The back of the phone is a different story, there is a vertical camera but that is located at the top middle instead of the top left like on the iPhone X. The dual cameras don’t have the flash in between but on the right side. The Oukitel U18 also has a fingerprint scanner under the cameras, something that the iPhone X does not feature. Apple’s premium phone instead has facial recognition technology as one of its new features.

The similarities between the Oukitel U18 and the iPhone X end on the front. The back panel and specs are totally different. The Oukitel U18 is an Android device with a custom skin. Those interested in buying the phone should know that they are getting good specs for the price.

Here are the Oukitel U18 specs:

  • 5.85-inch display.
  • Dual camera setup of 16MP and 13MP.
  • 4GB of RAM.
  • 64GB of storage.
  • 4,000mAh battery.
  • Android 7.0.
  • Fingerprint scanner. There is also face unlocking technology.

The most impressive part about the device is its $159.99 price. The Oukitel U18 is now among the most affordable iPhone X look-alikes. At least two other iPhone X look-alikes are rumored to be making their debut at MWC 2018. One of them is the Leagoo S9, which sounds like a Galaxy S9 look-alike, but actually has a design similar to the iPhone X. Like the Oukitel U18, the device has the notch and large screen but has a few differences on the back. The price of the Leagoo S9 is rumored to be under $300.

The Oukitel U18 is now on sale through the company’s official website for $159.99. According to the page, the device’s regular price is $179.99 but the $20 discount will remain until February 7.
