A young, talented dancer, Sophia Lucia rose to fame after appearing in the third season of Dance Moms. Based in California, she has been featured in several TV shows since including The Ricki Lake Show, America’s Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars, and So You Think You Can Dance.
In the recent years, the teen has also made a handful of acting appearances. For instance, she has appeared in the TV titles, Shake it Up, Kirby Buckets, and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. Most recently, she also worked on the made-for-television film, A Nutcracker Christmas.
How Sophia Lucia Became Famous
At the age of ten, Sophia Lucia found herself cast in Lifetime’s reality series, Dance Moms. Introduced in the third season, she co-starred alongside Chloe Lukasiak, Maddie Ziegler, Kendall Vertes, and Ally Serigne, among many others.
Premiered on January 1, 2013, the show continued for 39 episodes, before wrapping up that fall. Ultimately, it’s through the series that the teen gained herself a fan base.
Sophia Lucia’s Other TV Appearances
Since then, the dancer has been invited onto several other shows including America’s Got Talent, The X Factor, So You Think You Can Dance, Home & Family, and The Ellen Degeneres Show, to name a few.
Outside of reality shows, she has even acted a handful of times. For instance, she had made her official acting debut in Shake It Up in 2012. Since then, she has also appeared in the series Kirby Buckets, and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. In 2016, she also took part in the TV movie, A Nutcracker Christmas.
