The Xiaomi Mi 7 and Mi Mix 2S are rumored to be coming soon but the company is said to be working on more than just these two phones. In recent weeks, there have been a few leaks on the Mi 6X. The latest comes from Slashleaks, which spotted an image on Weibo that shows the back panel.
The image shows the back panel with many others sitting in the background. The metal panel has two cutouts, one for the camera and another for the fingerprint scanner. The cutout is for a vertical camera, like the one seen on the iPhone X. There is no small cutout under the camera, which suggests that the flash will be located between the dual cameras.
The new leak matches what the previous leak had revealed. In the case renders, a cutout for a vertical camera and a fingerprint scanner were also there. The Mi 6X might be powered by the company’s Surge S2 chipset, which is rumored to be debuting at MWC 2018.
There are little details on the specs of the Mi 6X but rumors say the phone might be launched during MWC, which takes place in less than three weeks. Reports have recently ruled out a launch for the Mi 7 at the event, leaving everyone with questions on what the company is going to announce. It has been confirmed that the company will be there, so the Mi 6X and Mi Mix 2S might end up being the big announcements.
Xiaomi skipped MWC 2017 but the event’s official website has confirmed that the company will be there. In its last appearance, Xiaomi unveil the Mi 5 but things could be different this time around as several reports have revealed that the company will not launch the Mi 7. Among the many things that the company might announce is its store in Italy. The company recently posted an image hinting that a store was coming but it was reportedly taken down shortly after.
Xiaomi has opened stores in Greece and Spain in recent months. Reports say the company will open stores in Italy and Romania next. The Xiaomi stores allow customers in these countries to easily buy a device or accessory from them.
