A two-time Olympic champion, Scott Moir and his skating partner Tessa Virtue, recently won two gold medals at the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang. Due to their on-ice chemistry, many fans have speculated that the pair is a romantic couple.
Born into a skating family, he has been on the ice ever since he was a young boy. After a few years of skating as a singles skater, his aunt paired him up with Tessa Virtue when he was ten years old. Little did he know at the time that they would one day become one of the most celebrated ice dancers in the world.
How Scott Moir Became Famous
In 2010, the pair gained a significant amount of attention after winning the World Championships in Turin, Italy. With that said, it wasn’t until they won the gold medal in ice dance at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver that their popularity exploded.
Over the next few years, the ice dancers competed and medalled at a number of competitions including the Four Continents Championships and World Championships. In fact, they had managed to win two gold medals at the two events in 2012.
Four years after their Olympic debut, they represented Canada for a second time at the 2014 Winter Games, where they finished second behind Meryl Davis and Charlie White. Determined to make a comeback, they most recently competed at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics, where they successfully won the gold medal in ice dance. On top of that, they had also won a gold medal in the team event.

Outside of competition, they also regularly performed with Stars on Ice. In addition to that, they also took part in All That Skate, Shall We Dance on Ice, and Festa on Ice, in the past.
In late 2013, Scott and Tessa even had their own self-titled TV special, which aired on the W Network.
