New Samsung Galaxy S9 Color Options Won’t Be Available Everywhere

Samsung has announced two new color options for its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S9 and S9+. The new color options are very cool but those looking to have a new Galaxy S9 color or planning to buy the phone soon will have to stick to the regular color options.

The two new color options were unveiled just a few hours ago but those will be out of reach for most people. The new color options are the Burgundy Red and Sunrise Gold Galaxy S9 smartphones. The Burgundy Red edition will be the most difficult to find as it will be available in just a few days in China and South Korea.

The Sunrise Gold edition will be released in several markets, including Germany, Chile, Mexico, Vietnam and Australia. BGR reports that other markets will follow after that but there are no details on if it will be released in the US. The Sunrise Gold edition will be available in those markets next month.

The new editions will not bring any changes on the hardware, the phones are exactly the same ones released a few weeks back but with a different color.

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ debuted with four color options, including three new ones. The latest announcement now brings two more, which will be much more difficult to find than the other four.

In November 2017, Samsung announced a Burgundy Red edition of its Galaxy S8 smartphone. The company said at the time that this edition would be available in South Korea first and that it would be rolled out to select markets later. In early April, Samsung India announced the launch of the Burgundy Red Galaxy S8. The new color option came to India a month after the company announced the Galaxy S9 and S9+.

This is one of the many times that the company has announced a new color option. Most of the color options end up being available in just some markets. It has also been rumored that the company plans to bring a few more new color options for its Galaxy S10.

The Galaxy S10 is still some time away from its release but rumors have recently mentioned that Samsung could move up the release schedule to make room for its foldable smartphone. The Galaxy S10 would be announced in the first month of 2019 while the Galaxy X would make an appearance the following month, according to those rumors.
