Oppo R17 and R17 Pro To Feature Triple Cameras?

Oppo is coming off an impressive release with its Find X smartphone. The device not only features an amazing screen but also a sliding section that houses the front and dual camera setup.

The Find X is a great looking smartphone but Oppo is planning to follow Huawei on the triple camera category. Leaked images have shown that the Oppo R17 and R17 Pro smartphones will feature triple cameras.

Earlier this year, Huawei became the first to add triple cameras to its smartphones. The triple cameras are featured in the P20 Pro, one of three variants that the company has released.

The P20 Pro remains the only device with triple cameras but that could soon change with Oppo. The company would be the second ever to include triple cameras. Oppo might even beat Samsung and Apple in that category. Both companies are rumored to be working on smartphones with this feature. Samsung’s triple camera addition is rumored to be coming with the Galaxy S10.

Leaked images of the R17 smartphones show that the devices could have a large screen and a small notch. The notch is quite similar to the one found on the Essential Phone. The TENAA site indicates that the smartphones will have a 6.4-inch display and a Snapdragon 710 processor.

The Pro version is rumored to have a few extra features. The leaks indicate that the smartphone will include an in-display fingerprint sensor. There is also some information on what the company is planning for its back cover.

The back of the smartphones could show different colors just like Huawei did with its P20 smartphones. The gradient colors seen on the leak appear to be very similar to one of the color options for the P20.

Oppo has not confirmed any of this but the leaks are not very surprising since many companies are rumored to be working on triple cameras. 2019 or maybe even the rest of 2018 could be very interesting when it comes to the triple camera category.

What do you think about triple cameras? Would you like to see more smartphones with this feature? Let us know in the comments.
