NFL Week 9: Results & More

Week 9 was a very interesting week, with several teams looking to stay alive in the playoff race while one was looking to remain undefeated in the season. Here are the results for Week 9:

49ers 34 – 3 Raiders

Thursday Night Football featured the 49ers and Raiders. The matchup looked good before the start of the season but both teams came into this game with one win each. Nick Mullens started for the 49ers and he had an impressive game.

Falcons 38 – 14 Redskins

The Falcons put a stop to Washington’s good start to the season. Julio Jones scored a touchdown and the Redskins were held to just 14 points. The Falcons have now won their last three games and are 4 – 4 in the season. The loss dropped Washington to 5 – 3 in the season but they are still in first in the NFC East.

Vikings 24 – 9 Lions

The Vikings are keeping things close in the NFC North following a victory over the Lions. Minnesota is now 5 – 3 – 1 in the season, which puts them in second in the division. The Lions have lost the last two games and are now last in the NFC North with a 3 – 5 record.

Steelers 23 – 16 Ravens

The Steelers have won four straight after a close victory against division rival Ravens. Baltimore has dropped three straight games after starting the season at 4 – 2.

Chiefs 37 – 21 Browns

The Chiefs continued their amazing run this season with a 37 – 21 victory against the Browns. Cleveland has now dropped the last four games, leaving them last in the division. The Chiefs are 8 – 1 in the season, which leaves them in first in the AFC West.

Dolphins 13 – 6 Jets

The Dolphins are two games behind the Patriots in the AFC East after a close victory against division rival Jets. The loss drops the Jets to 3 – 6 in the season.

Bears 41 – 9 Bills

The Bears left with a comfortable victory against the Buffalo Bills. Chicago is now first in the NFC North with a 5 – 3 record. The Bills, 2 – 7 in the season, have dropped the last four games.

Panthers 42 – 28 Buccaneers

The Panthers scored 42 points on the Buccaneers, who have dropped the last two games after a good start to the season. The win puts the Panthers one game behind the Saints. Tampa Bay is last in the NFC South with a 3 – 5 record.

Chargers 25 – 17 Seahawks

The Chargers have won five straight games and sit in second in the AFC West. The Seahawks dropped to 4 – 4 in the season after Sunday’s loss.

Texans 19 – 17 Broncos

The Texans continue their great run after a close victory against the Broncos. The win keeps Houston first in the division. The Broncos are third in their division.

Saints 45 – 35 Rams

The Saints ended the Rams undefeated season with a 45 – 35 win. New Orleans had a big lead going into halftime but Los Angeles quickly caught up. The Saints would later score ten points to secure the victory.

Patriots 31 – 17 Packers

Brady vs. Rodgers was one of the biggest topics of Week 9. The matchup was close in the beginning but the Patriots pulled away and won by 14.

Cowboys – Titans – Monday Night Football

A must win game for both teams as they are third and second in their divisions. The Cowboys need a win to keep up with the Eagles and Washington while the Titans need to win to get close to the Texans, who have won the last six games.
