NFL Week 17: Results & More

Bills 42 – 17 Dolphins

The Bills finished the regular season on a good note after blowing out the Dolphins 42 – 17. Miami finishes the season with a three game losing streak.

Lions 31 – 0 Packers

Rodgers exited the game early after he suffered a concussion and it was all Lions after that. The Packers offense did not score a single point in the game, putting an end to a disappointing season.

Patriots 38 – 3 Jets

The Patriots were looking to secure the second seed against the Jets and they quickly did that. New England held the Jets offense to just three points. The Patriots finish the regular season with an 11 – 5 record.

Panthers 33 – 14 Saints

The Saints rested most of their starters and lost this game. The result didn’t matter for New Orleans since they secured the first seed last week. Carolina finishes the regular season with a 7 – 9 record.

Cowboys 36 – 35 Giants

This matchup had a wild ending, with the Cowboys taking a game that seemed like a loss just seconds before. The result didn’t matter much for the Cowboys since they locked up the NFC East title last week.

Texans 20 – 3 Jaguars

Houston added one more win to its regular season record. The win wasn’t enough for the second seed but they are in the playoffs. They will meet an opponent they know in the wild card round, the Colts.

Chiefs 35 – 3 Raiders

The Chiefs secured the AFC West title with a big win over the Raiders. Kansas City will get homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. The Raiders finish the season with a 4 – 12 record.

Falcons 34 – 32 Buccaneers

The Falcons and Buccaneers were both eliminated from playoff contention weeks ago but the game came down to just two points. Atlanta recently announced the firing of several coaches, including their OC and DC.

Rams 48 – 49ers 32

The Rams secured the second seed with a huge win over the 49ers. Los Angeles needed a win to prevent the Bears from taking the second spot. The Rams will have a week off and their first game will be in the divisional round.

Seahawks 27 – 24 Cardinals

The Seahawks closed out the regular season with a close win against division rival Cardinals. Seattle will be playing in the wild card round against the Cowboys.

Bears 24 – 10 Vikings

The Vikings needed a win to get to the playoffs but they ran into a strong Bears defense. Minnesota was held to just ten points and the game was put away when Chicago scored a touchdown late in the fourth.

Chargers 23 – 9 Broncos

The Chargers finished with a 12 – 4 record with a win over the Broncos. What’s crazy is that the record was only enough for a wild card spot. The AFC West title was won by the Chiefs, who also finished with a 12 – 4 record.

Eagles 24 – 0 Redskins

The Eagles needed a win and a loss from the Vikings and they got both. Philadelphia’s defense held Washington’s offense to zero points. The Eagles will be playing in the wild card round against the Bears.

Ravens 26 – 24 Browns

The Ravens and Browns game went down to the last second. Baltimore had an early lead but Cleveland fought back and had the last possession to win. The Browns could not score, giving the Ravens the AFC North title and a playoff spot.

Colts 33 – 17 Titans

It was win and in for one of these teams but the Titans ruled out Mariota just hours before the game. Andrew Luck and his team scored 33 points and secured a playoff spot. They will face the Texans in the wild card round.

Steelers 16 – 13 Bengals

The Steelers got the win they needed but they also needed the Ravens to lose against the Browns. Jackson and his team held on against Cleveland, taking the AFC North and eliminating their division rivals from playoff contention.
