WWE Saudi Arabia Show: 5 Possible Opponents For Goldberg

WWE will soon be holding another show in Saudi Arabia and the company has already confirmed a big return. Goldberg will be returning to the ring after a two year absence. The former WWE Universal Champion last wrestled at WrestleMania 33, where he lost to Brock Lesnar. Now that it has been confirmed that he is returning, there is a ton of options for him. The WWE roster is so big that there are a number of superstars that he can face. Here are five possible opponents for Goldberg:

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar has not made any appearances since he was defeated by Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35. The former Universal Champion has faced Goldberg three times in the past but it would make sense to have him return for this event. Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg last happened at WrestleMania 33, where Lesnar was able to avenge his two previous losses. Their recent matches have been very short but they have had some surprises and crazy moments throughout.

The Undertaker

The Undertaker has made a few WWE appearances in recent years but no one can really rule him out for another event. Goldberg vs. The Undertaker never happened when he returned in 2016 but we did see a few hints of it during one of the Royal Rumbles. In that event, we saw The Undertaker and Goldberg go at it for a few seconds. The fight was eventually interrupted by Corbin and Rusev, who were quickly eliminated after. Goldberg was able to hit The Undertaker with a spear before he was distracted and eliminated by him. The Undertaker has wrestled a few times since so a short match between them would still make some fans happy.

Randy Orton

Randy Orton commented on the announcement of his return and Goldberg replied back. Orton and Goldberg have been part of a feud in the past when Evolution was going after him. The former Universal Champion has plenty of other candidates that he could face but a match with Orton would not be bad to see.

Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley commented on Goldberg’s return shortly after it was announced. The former Universal Champion later responded to the tweet. Their comments gave no indication that there is a match between them but it would be interesting to see them face each other. Goldberg left WWE a few years before Lashley came in and won a number of WWE titles. Lashley came back to the company in early 2018 so WWE can now do this match.

Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is one of WWE’s biggest superstars and he would obviously make a great opponent for Goldberg. Roman Reigns has already faced other legends in the past such as Triple H and The Undertaker. The former The Shield member has repeatedly claimed that it is his yard so maybe Goldberg can step in and challenge him. Reigns was recently moved to SmackDown but he might be making other appearances on Raw, according to rumors. This would be the perfect time to start building up a feud.

WWE has brought and signed many superstars for its events in Saudi Arabia. This year’s event appears to be no different as Goldberg has already been announced for a return.
