Why Weekend at the Hamptons is Worth the Cost

The Hamptons are an ideal location to get out of the regular life routine and recharge some soul into your body. Most New Yorkers know very well what the Hamptons are; others have also heard the name at least once in their life. Let me rephrase it for you. It’s an area comprising several towns located along the eastern end of Long Island. It’s very famous for high-quality lifestyle, beaches, golf clubs, farms, and fun events. You also find many celebrities wandering around these areas. All these luxuries make it a perfect weekend destination. Many people find the Hamptons quite expensive – what vacation point isn’t though? But you can make sure that it pays off. A lot of tourists, even who are not extremely rich, find the Hamptons worth every penny and here’s why.

Hiking at Elizabeth A. Morton National Wildlife Refuge

Elizabeth A. Morton National Wildlife Refuge is a refuge for wildlife spread on 187 acres. It’s an attractive spot for trailing and hiking. You will find many grasslands, ponds, beaches, and salt marshes within this area of less than two miles. All this creates a peaceful natural environment where you can walk all your stress away. Besides, there are animals like chickadees and chipmunks to keep you cheerful. These little creatures are not scared of humans and don’t mind keeping you company.

Surfing at Ditch Plains

There are many other beaches for surfing in Long Island, but Ditch Plains gains most attraction because of its friendly waves. The waves aren’t so hard that a beginner can’t surf but not so small that a veteran can’t enjoy. There is a lot to do in the Hamptons, but if you want to reinvigorate yourself, then surfing is definitely the way to go. You will find many local businesses offering everything you need. It has a neat and clean environment with plenty of parking space. There are many other beaches in the Hamptons as well where you can spend some alone time.

Wine Tasting at Wölffer Estate Vineyard

Love wine? The Hamptons has the best of vineyards to offer. Wölffer Estate is a 55-acre vineyard with a gorgeous environment. It provides flights of four wines, every day throughout the year. You can also take a walk in lush green fields to feel that fresh environment. This place used to be a potato farm which was later turned into a vineyard. If you are not a big fan of wine, there is a very famous brewing company in the Hamptons called Montauk Brewing Company. You can visit their taproom and enjoy six colorful beers for just $12.

The Most Beautiful Villas

The most attractive part of the Hamptons is their houses. Every house is a beautiful luxurious villa which is either owned by a celebrity or filthy wealthy businessmen. Many of them are offered on rent for vacations. The Hamptons are spread on 50-miles, make sure you choose the location which is near your favorite places. You can rent a house in the Hamptons that best suits your taste. These luxury villas are one of the most exciting parts of the vacation. You get a beautiful house that has an amazing interior in addition to the swimming pool, exotic views, and peaceful environment. If you are not strong-minded, you may end up spending the entire vacation within the house.

Many Amazing Art Centers

If you love art, culture, and history; the Hamptons won’t disappoint you. There are many prestigious art centers with so much to offer. This place may give the vibe of modern flashiness, but it actually has a rich history which goes hundreds of year back. There is a museum established in 1898 called Parrish Art Museum with a vast collection of famous artists. Then there is Pollock-Krasner House, now a museum, with most of its original furniture. You get to see where the artist couple produced globally recognized artworks for a ticket of just $5.

Moreover, there is Guild Hall in East Hampton and Dan Flavin Art Institute in Bridgehampton that attract art lovers. The Hamptons have everything for people of every age and personality. Instead of wasting your time planning, get yourself a nice house for the weekend and have the time of your life.
