Xiaomi Mi A3 Announced In Spain

Xiaomi has one more device on its Android One lineup, the Mi A3. Right around the same time last year, the company announced the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. The Mi A3, which had been rumored for a few weeks, was announced at an event in Spain, where the company has recently opened several Mi Stores.

Here is everything we know about the Mi A3:

The Xiaomi Mi A3 has several improvements over the Mi A2. The display is now a bit larger and it has been changed to AMOLED. The display also includes a waterdrop notch, something that’s become quite common among smartphones. Other upgrades from the Mi A2 include a headphone jack and a much larger 4,030 mAh battery. The Mi A3 is powered by a Snapdragon 665 processor.

The Mi A3 is lacking when it comes to the variants offered. The CC9e has several variants but the Mi A3 only offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The Mi A3 does include a microSD card slot. Xiaomi has just announced the phone so there could always be one or two more variants later on.

The Mi A3 does not hold back on the camera department. This time, the phone offers triple rear cameras. This is now common among premium smartphones but this is still a nice addition since the Mi A series has always been on the affordable side. The main sensor on those cameras is 48MP along with 8MP and 2MP sensors. The front camera is also a nice one, with a 32MP sensor sitting in the waterdrop notch.

The new phone is now being compared to the recently launched Xiaomi CC9e. The two are very similar and it was rumored that the Mi A3 would pretty much be the Android One version of the phone. The rumors are accurate as they are just about the same, with the only major difference being Android One.

The Mi A3 is an Android One device so the phone includes Android Pie. All of the three editions have been part of the Android One program, which has been around for a while now. This is obviously a difference from the Xiaomi CC9e, which instead features the company’s MIUI software.

The Xiaomi Mi A3 will be sold in three color options, White, Blue and Grey. All three color options have a different look/effect.

The phones were just announced in Spain so it is unclear if the pricing will be different for other countries. What we do know is that the 64GB variant has a price of 249 euros ($279) while the 128GB variant is priced at 279 euros ($313).

The 64GB variant will be available on July 24. The phone will be sold in several retailers and the company’s official website and Mi Stores. The 128GB variant is available for pre-order now through the official website and it can also be pre-ordered on Mi Stores starting July 24.

The Mi A series has been very popular since its debut just a few years ago and the latest version will no doubt catch the attention of those looking for an affordable but solid smartphone. We’ll keep you updated when there is more information on its release in other countries.
