Amanda Schlechter, a West Palm Beach, Florida resident and successful attorney, put down the law books in order to pursue her dream of running her own company. The vision for her business all started out several years ago when she began to find it extremely difficult to sleep on her stomach after having a breast augmentation. At first Amanda attempted to remedy this issue with additional pillows underneath her stomach or folded up towels, but nothing seemed to offer her any sort of relief. So, instead of just calling it quits and rolling onto her back, she decided to create a pillow specifically designed for stomach-sleepers with sensitive breasts. She was also struck with the idea to produce a vinyl pillow cover for her customers who used it during massage appointments so that the oils would not stain or ruin it.

When asked about her sales, Schlechter bashfully confessed to only having sold 83 pillows, which visibly stuns the Sharks. In an attempt to justify her low sales, she tells them that her website only opened in 2008, but that proved to be a mistake because they were still astounded that she only sold 83 pillows in three years. Daymond John asks her how many big-breasted women actually have this problem because, due to his own experience, most women that he encountered slept on either their backs or sides. He also questions why a regular pillow wouldn’t remedy the problem. According to Amanda, normal pillows do not have the proper angle or foam needed for comfortable sleep. Mark Cuban then points out that even though it is good that she has a patent on her product, having such low sales is definitely not a good sign.

In a final attempt to persuade the Sharks to sympathizing with her, Amanda chalks up the poor sales to a lack of time and money because she is only a single working class mother. No one seems all that convinced. Lori Greiner speaks up first to say that she admires Amanda’s ingenuity but fails to see how the Ledge Pillow will appeal to a large market. Following her comments, O’Leary bluntly states that she has already sold her product to 100% of the market because she set herself up for failure by creating a product for an extremely small population of people. This is where Arnie’s career took off, and the radio show started to gain popularity.

Soon, however, Arnie’s life and career took a tragic turn. Life behind the antennae, radio life, is very different than many think. Arnie is a clear example of this. Rob Williams, fellow co-host of The Rob, Arnie, and Dawn Show, told a story that shocked everyone. He said that one day, Arnie didn’t come to work on time, which was unusual, since he was always there not just on time, but before he would have needed to be there. Rob went over to his home after calling Arnie multiple times and getting no responses. He had no idea what to expect. This was his on and off air partner, someone who he had become very close with over the years of the incredibly popular radio show. Rob realized that something terrible, something huge, had happened, and he decided that it was appropriate to dial 911, and that’s exactly what he did. When the police arrived, they couldn’t get inside Arnie’s home, as he had locked the doors, so they had to force their way in through his doggie door. When they got inside, they searched for Arnie, and then they saw something horrific: Arnie was lying in his bedroom with blood seeping from his wrists.

He was still alive, but it turned out that Arnie had tried to end his life by slicing gashes into his arms and letting the blood pour out. He wasn’t trying to be heard, make a statement, or be a burden. He didn’t call anyone, he didn’t write out a final note like many suicide victims do. He just wanted to end his life.

Three weeks after this traumatic event, Arnie returned to the show. Rob said that the rest of the cast from The Rob, Arnie, and Dawn Show were very supportive and professional.

“I’ve never seen such an amazing team, which doesn’t surprise me in the least. When the show members were told by me that morning what Arnie had done, there were some tears and then everyone sprung into action doing everything from communicating with affiliates, planning to do Best of Morning Shows, taking care of Arnie’s dog, cleaning up his house, etc. Because of privacy issues and HIPPA laws, we had to keep everyone in the dark, which meant a lot of leaps of faith on the parts of radio partners, clients, and sponsors. Everyone was amazing.”

However, hearing, in his own words, the story of how he couldn’t handle his own life, how his demons overtook him, how he had been battling depression for many years, was powerful to them. It was a moving story.

Most of the time, when you hear of some celebrity death, you sit down and think, “Wow, that’s terrible.” You may give your condolences and spend a moment thinking about the person, but then you forget about them, because you had no real attachment to them. However, with Arnie, this was someone who the listeners of the radio show had almost known personally. They woke up every morning to his voice, him going on and on about his political opinions, or having a friendly argument with one of the other members of the show. His voice become routine, and after a while, necessary. During those three weeks of hearing nothing, many fans had to have been feeling nostalgic.

Once they heard the full story from Arnie, however, it hit them hard. Many fans wrote letters and mailed them to the location of the studio, mostly letters of sadness and wishing Arnie the best. There were, however, angry letters from listeners who were not only disappointed in Arnie, but they called him a “loser” and “desperate”. Fairuza Baulk’s Early Life

Born in Point Reyes, California, Fairuza (whose name means “turquoise” in Persian) lived with her mother Cathryn Balk, who studied and taught the traditional and ethnic dance forms of many countries including Egypt, Turkey, Morocco, and Spain, and her father, Solomon Feldthouse, who was one of the founding members of the 1960s rock group Kaleidoscope. Fairuza moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, when she was six. It was there where she first started to act. She would continue to move around so that she could showcase her acting skills and try to create some exposure for herself.

Her first movie was an exclusive to TV film called The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, directed by George Shaeffer and released in 1983. When she was in London, Fairuza was cast by Walt Disney Productions to star in the then upcoming film, Return to Oz, as Dorothy Gale. She received worldwide fame for her performance in the film, and it gave her the exposure she needed, as it landed her roles in other films including the part of Mildred Hubble in The Worst Witch, and Valmont. The following year she attended high school, but decided to take correspondence classes instead of the traditional high school classes, and moved to Hollywood. Once she moved there, she started to gain more and more notice as an actress. In 1992, for her performance in the film Gas Food Lodging, an Allison Anders movie, Fairuza Balk was awarded an Independent Spirit Award as the best actress for her performance.

Four years later, in 1996, she landed a lead role in the film The Craft, in which she played a character who formed a teenage coven with other characters who were played by the actors Neve Campbell, Rachel True, and Robin Tunney. She continued to find roles in other films, including an Academy Award nominated performance in the film American History X. She continued to star in more movies throughout the 2000s, but none were incredibly successful. After starting from the top with Return to Oz, Balk had slowly fallen back down.

They soon form a close bond, a shared longing for love and company in a dark, cruel world. Convinced that her only child did not commit suicide, Anna seeks out the people and places August had known. She leads an investigation with Jonas to find out the truth, but ends up realizing just how cold humanity can be. In an interview with Karen Benardello, Fairuza Balk sounded very excited about her new part in this film.

On this film, especially, everybody really wants to be making it. They’re very excited about making it. It’s the first film in a long time that I’ve been on where absolutely everybody is genuinely excited and passionate about it.

It’s really a lovely change to come to work and everyone in the room is smiling and happy to see you, and exited to get going on the day, every day. It has been really unique and fun in that way. You hope that all films are going to be like this one. You hope you’re going to have a great experience and meet some wonderful people, and really work it. You hope that magic’s going to happen, but it doesn’t always happen; it is actually quite rare. I do think that indie films can facilitate that environment, especially since all of us are on location. So we’re like a big family here, doing this project.

It gives a more unique experience than say, if we’ve been shooting in Los Angeles, New York or somewhere where we all live. It gives the traveling circus feel of it, and that’s why I really love making independent movies-in those ways, they definitely are different.”

“The script was what really pulled me in, and I had an immediate infinity for it,” said Fairuza when asked about what made her want to act in the film. “I had great compassion for the character. Also, the ending isn’t a typical ending whatsoever, and it’s a look at life through this woman’s eyes at a story that’s not typical. Also, for me, the role was quite different. People have tended to see me as an actress who has played edgier, darker roles. That’s something that as much as I’ve enjoyed exploring, isn’t necessarily the one thing I want to do. Anna is different for me, and has been a challenge in a very wonderful way. Also, I saw Sam’s first film, ‘Being Us,’ and I really enjoyed it. I’m also a huge fan of Alanna Ubach, who’s in, and producing, our film. I’ve always wanted to meet and work with her, so it all worked out perfectly for me.”

“As much as she was estranged from August, she knows her boy.” Balk said when she was talking about the story and her role as Anna in the film. “She raised him for half of his upbringing on her own. So they were very close when he was younger. Before she’s even arrived, she feels like this is wrong. Once she does arrive, there are too many things that don’t add up.

It’s blatantly obvious to her that this wasn’t him, and he didn’t jump. It’s a terrible thing to have that certainty, and be convinced that somebody didn’t take their own life, and that there’s something awry. It’s terrible to not have anybody listen to, agree with or believe you. No matter how hard she tries, she can’t get anyone to see that this is just wrong in every way. She’s driven by love. I’m sure there is a part of her, in regards to them having lost that bond, that is an element of that, but love is intuition. She feels that this isn’t what happened in her bones.

The more she looks into it, the more she feels that way. She has more certainty that that wasn’t the case. I think that for a lot of us in life, there are elements where everything is pointing a different way, but you feel a certainty about something. You know in your bones what’s going on, and she can’t ignore that. Everyone’s telling her she’s acting nuts and she has to accept that it is what it is, and people do nonsensical things.

They’re telling her that we can’t always understand human behavior. But as human beings, we’re trained to trust those intuitive feelings. With Anna and her son, they had too strong of a bond. So she’s unable to separate herself from the feelings of not accepting his death as a suicide, and being able to move on.”

When asked about her experience working with director Sam Hancock, Balk said: “It’s interesting, because every director is so different. Sam is honestly very wonderful to work with. He has a great work ethic and attitude. He has a huge excitement, passion and love for making films, and that’s really refreshing. Since he’s younger and this is only his second film, he has that huge dynamic of excitement about being there.

At the same time, he has a great depth of feeling for the characters, since he was a writer on the project. Sometimes when a director has also written a piece, they can be a little harder to work with. They aren’t as welling at times to be open to working through it-they get married to the material as it is in its original form. That’s fine, and often times it works very well. But with Sam, he really likes to work with actors, and have them embody the characters. He also likes them to work with, and at times adapt, the script, to what feels natural for them in character.

That adaptability and versatility makes it that much easier for me, as an actor, to really embrace and embody a part. Also, having previously worked as an actor in films, he knows everything you need to know about each bit of it, so that’s very helpful. I’ve really enjoyed working with him, and hope to have the chance to work with him again. Not only is he a great director, he’s also a very lovely and wonderful person.”

Balk also revealed that she preferred filming on location, but it has its struggles, which could perhaps be a reason for her turning down other recent films and remaining quiet in the acting world.

“Yes,” Balk said when asked if she preferred filming on location, “and we were actually talking about how much we enjoy doing the locations when we first got here. It gives us an opportunity to explore new places that we normally wouldn’t be able to go to on our own. I love shooting on location, but it’s a double-edged sword for me. I have kids at home, and they get angry with me when I leave at a month at a time. But on this case, it’s close enough that they’re able to visit while we’re here. I’ve loved it so far, as it’s a really beautiful area.

I just moved to California from Texas about a year and a half ago, so I’m getting to explore parts of the country that I’ve never seen. I’ve also gotten to take my family to places they’ve never seen, and I get a lot of kudos for being the guy who gives them that opportunity. So I love it. As far as shooting goes, it helps to be where it’s happening, because it takes away that need to use your imagination. You can use your surroundings as inspiration, and that works great.”

Could August Falls be the film that brings Fairuza Balk back to the national spotlight? We can only wait and see. After seeing so much success at a young age and then seeing it go just as quickly, Balk probably knows this is one of her last shots. As a former child star, she has the pedigree to make it back into prominence, but she has to give the movie all she’s got. She needs to grasp this opportunity, and all we can do is sit here and watch it unfold.

Fairuza Balk has been starring in the musical drama series, Paradise City, since 2021. A TV spinoff of the film American Satan, it premiered on March 25, 2021, on Amazon Prime Video.

In the show, Balk plays the character of Lizzie Thomas, Faith’s grandmother, and Vivian’s mother. Other cast members include Andy Biersack, Ben Bruce, Booboo sTeward, James Cassells, Ryan Hurst, and Mark Boone Junior. Praised by critics, the show has since been renewed for a second season, though an exact date has not yet been announced.

Earlier this year, she also lent her voice to a character in Close Enough, an animated action series that aired on HBO Max.

In terms of film appearances, she made a small cameo in the 2020 film, The Craft: Legacy, starring Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, and Love Simone. Prior to that, she appeared in Hell Is Where the Home Is, August Falls, and Battle Scars.

Born on May 16, 1986, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Megan Fox was the daughter of Gloria Darlene and Franklin Thomas Fox, an officer. She was raised in a very strict manner and attended Catholic school for twelve years. Her parents separated when she was still a young girl, and her mother remarried with Tony Tonachio, who became Megan’s stepfather and raised Megan for most of her life as a kid. Fox has said that her step-father was “very strict” and that she wasn’t even allowed to have a boyfriend or invite friends over. She continued to live with her mother until she got a job and could support herself.

Megan Fox first started to learn to be an actor when she was five. She attended a dance and drama class and was involved in her school’s chorus and swim team. When she moved to Florida at the age of ten, she continued her training at another school. Fox started to model when she was a teenager, and she won several awards at the 1999 American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head, South Carolina. She later moved to Los Angeles, California at the age of seventeen to pursue her career in acting.

She has said that she was bullied and picked on in middle school, and she would eat lunch in the bathroom to avoid “being pelted with ketchup packets”. Megan Fox recently starred in the black comedy film Big Gold Brick, where she played the role of attorney Jacqueline Deveraux. Written and directed by Brian Petsos, the movie also starred Andy Garcia, Emory Cohen, Shiloh Fernandez, Oscar Isaac, and Lucy Hale. However, it was met with mostly negative reviews upon its release.

She also starred in the drama film Taurus and in the romantic comedy Good Mourning, both of which came out in the summer of 2022. While the former was met with mediocre reviews, the latter was a commercial failure, having only earned $21,300 at the box office.

In terms of upcoming projects, she’s currently working on a few films including The Expendables 4, which is the fourth installment of The Expendables franchise. Like the child Macaulay Culkin portrayed in his classic Home Alone role, Culkin was far from an only child. The third of seven kids, Culkin grew up in a small apartment in New York City, son of a former Broadway actor. Starting from the age of four, he found early roles in stage productions, made-for-TV movies, and minor films. When he was nine, he appeared in Uncle Buck as one of three children being cared for by John Candy’s wild title character. The film was a modest success and would later become a family comedy classic. An unsuccessful television series was launched based on Uncle Buck in 1990. The same year, Culkin netted his lead role in the blockbuster film Home Alone.

Home Alone blew up because it so seamlessly mixed several different genres into one fun package. The movie was written and produced by John Hughes, who had previously worked with Culkin when he directed Uncle Buck and who was most famous for his eighties teen movies like the Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and Sixteen Candles. With Home Alone, Hughes helped create a Christmas movie that blended family comedy, coming-of-age struggles, a caper/heist element, and played on parents’ greatest fear that something bad might happen to a child left alone. There was a happy ending, of course, but only after Kevin runs hog wild around the house, realizes that he misses his family, and fends off two would-be burglars with the help of a kindly old neighbor that he once feared. The mixed reviews failed to turn away families looking for quality Christmas entertainment. Home Alone was the highest-grossing comedy of all time for two decades, until The Hangover finally dethroned it in 2009. Culkin would revisit his role for the sequel, Lost in New York, which was nearly as successful as the original. The villains from the first film return with a mind for murder, chasing Kevin to his uncle’s New York apartment and across the city. This time, he is saved by a kindly homeless woman. Culkin would not appear in further sequels Home Alone 3 or Home Alone 4.

Macaulay Culkin was the child-star everybody wanted in their movies after his Home Alone success. He took on a supporting role in the coming-of-age classic My Girl, playing a heartbreaking character who dies trying to help the title character find her lost mood ring. He starred in a number of films after this in rapid succession: The Good Son, The Nutcracker, Getting Even with Dad, The Pagemaster, and Richie Rich. Despite critical acclaim for his acting as a secretly vicious and cruel child-villain in The Good Son opposite Elijah Wood, most of these movies performed poorly. His costars included the former teen stars Seth Green, Wilmer Valderrama, Chloe Sevigny, and My-So-Called-Life actor Wilson Cruz as Angel. Despite Party Monster, and Culkin’s next film, Saved!, becoming cult successes among certain crowds, Culkin was unable to truly revitalize his career.

Culkin claims to be happy enough on the fringes of the Hollywood scene, however. He has had famous relationships with actresses Rachel Miner and Mila Kunis. Despite a brief jail term for possession of controlled substances in 2004, he has mostly stayed out of the kind of trouble that haunts many former child stars. Culkin has also toured with his comedy rock band that parodies The Velvet Underground, The Pizza Underground. After a November 2014 rumor began circulating that Culkin had died, the band posted Weekend at Bernie’s style twitter pictures of Culkin’s seemingly lifeless body slumped over his instruments and being dragged around a music venue. Culkin remains alive and well however, toiling away in rock and roll obscurity. Given that his estimated worth remains nearly $20 million, that doesn’t sound like a terrible retirement plan.

In 2021, Culkin joined the main cast of American Horror Story: Double Feature, the tenth season of the horror anthology series American Horror Story. Created by Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy, it premiered on August 25, 2021, and was divided into two parts: Red Tide and Death Valley.

In the show, Culkin played the role of Mickey, a male prostitute who dreams of becoming a screenwriter. Other cast members include Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Frances Conroy, Angelica Ross, and Adina Porter

Following his birth, comments that he had made previously about his girlfriend—more specifically about the shape of her eyes—resurfaced.

In August 2020, he also tweeted on his 40th birthday; the tweet has since become one of the most-liked tweets on the platform. That same year, he defended Michael Jackson—whose children he’s the godfather of—against allegations of child molestation.
