Tandem Boogie Before Shark Tank

Surfing is a fun activity that many people enjoy and it has been done for thousands of years. As early as 5,000 years ago people in Peru were surfing in Kayak-like water crafts and they surfed back to shore after a hard day’s work. Surfing has changed since then. The boards are now a lot more aerodynamic and the surfboard is more of a sports tool than a tool for fishing.

The Clark Family which consists of John Clark, His wife, Manya Clark, and their daughters Juliette Clark, Alleana Clark, and Lyla Clark liked to surf and they surfed as a family on the beaches of California where they resided and anywhere else where they could. They saw that although the surfboards available at the time were great, they could be improved upon.

That was why the family got creative and they created the Tandem Boogie. The Tandem Boogie is a surfboard that can be used by 2 people at a time making it ideal for family use. It also has a mounted camera so it can also record fun moments.

The Tandem Boogie had gotten off to a good start but still needed some help and that was what made the Clark Family turn to the Shark Tank for help. They were on the 12th episode of the 17th season.

Tandem Boogie on Shark Tank

The Clark Family went to the Shark Tank seeking $100,000 for 10% of the business giving it a valuation of $10,000,000. Manya, John, Juliette (Juju), Alleana, and Lyla Clark went to the Shark Tank and started their presentation by telling the sharks how they enjoyed going to the beach as a family and they wanted to catch waves on the same board. They then showed how the Tandem Boogie was going to usher in the next generation of surfboards thanks to its interactive design. They then invited them to the sharks to try the board.

Robert was then specifically asked if he wanted to try the tandem boogie. Robert then went to try it and as he did, he confirmed where he would hold it. Lori asked if the board could handle 2 adults side by side without a problem, and if she watched the video once more she would see that they were side by side. By then, Robert had got back to his seat and he said that it was super fun and that it felt very solid.

Lori said that it looked very fun and she was happy that it was a big family but she was curious as to who was running the business. Anya said that it was run by the whole group and every one of them had their own job. She was in charge of manufacturing and operations. She was also in charge of operations and the website.

John said that he was in charge of manufacturing and also in charge and social media. Juliette said that she was the chief fun officer and she made sure that their brand stayed in line with their vision and she was also the creative director. Lyla said that he was in charge of merchandising. Alleana said that she was in charge of community outreach and also making sure that everybody gets their jobs done. She then added that she was the oldest sister

Daniel said that he was moved by their unity. He then asked their mother Manya if she consciously designed something that she could involve her whole family with. Juliette said that she grew up in Sacramento California and they participated in so many water activities. Juliette then showed the sharks a picture of all 5 of them on a paddle board.

Lori then asked them if they had a background in the profession. Manya then said that she used to believe that anything her husband could sell she could make. She went to the United States as a refugee. However, by the time she was 21, she had a degree in industrial engineering. She was working in a big corporation in manufacturing so she knew how to make products

She then said that her husband John was a salesperson and when their daughter Juliette was 6 months old, they decided to start a business. They started a shelving business and it went very well. Their main goal when they started the business was to have time to spend with their family. The business had been a success and they were still running it. They did about $500,000 in sales annually.

Daniel asked them what their cost of manufacture was and he was told that the landed cost was $150. He was then told that they sold for $459. Kevin said that the idea of packaging it and selling it as something portable as an all-in-one fun idea was very unique. He then said that to him the selling proposition was that their product could be put in the back of a truck and then taken to the beach which was fun.

Kevin said that he knew that there were other products like that in the market so they needed the fun proposition. Lori told Kevin not to be such a killjoy. John said that what was unique about their product was its dynamic air design and they had perfected it. Kevin then asked if there was anyone else who had done what they had done. John said that they had consulted with an attorney and they did file for a utility patent for the design.

Robert asked them what the patent was for and he was told that it was for the location of the handles and a camera mount. Mark Cuban asked them how the sales worked. Juliette said that the Covid-19 pandemic had made them switch towards selling online but they ended up doing a Kickstarter Campaign for one month and they did $43,000 in sales.

Robert then asked them if all their money was from Kickstarter. Juliette said $31,000 was from the Kickstarter and that was between June and July. Robert then confirmed that they were brand new and he was told that they were brand new. Kevin said that if the average boogey board was around $59-79. He asked them if they got pushback for selling the boogey board. Alleana said that it was comparable to low-cost surfboards and it had the advantage of being used by 2 people.

Robert asked them if they had taken their boards to surf shops and to places where people rent. John said that part of their sales came from where people rented the boards. Robert then asked them if they had tried selling them to retail stores. John said that part of their sales came from the 4 retail stores that were carrying their product.

Robert then asked them what they needed the money for and what they needed a shark for. John said that there was opportunity for Tandem Boogie to grow. They wanted to have 25 accounts by the end of the year so that they could have $300,000 in sales that year and they thought that it was a realistic target by the end of the year.

Robert asked them how they would get there by the end of the year if their biggest challenge was distribution. Robert said that people would buy the product if they saw it. John said that he knew how to set up dealers and how to set up accounts. He would set them up personally. Mark Cuban said that he thought that their biggest source of sales would be online sources and what made it work was their marketing ability.

Mark Cuban said that the business was just not there yet and for that reason, he was out. Lori then left and she said that although she liked the product, she just knew that there were better sharks than her for the product. Kevin said that he thought it would be very hard to be making it a $5,000,000 to $10,000,000 business and for that reason, he was out.

Robert liked the product and said that he had worked with a hard board business that had been pitched on Shark Tank before. He then offered them the $100,000 but said that he was not fine with 10%. He asked them to tell him how much he thought he wanted. John asked him if he would be doing the deal alone or if Robert would ask for the help of another shark.

Daniel said that he was interested in partnering with Robert but he would want 25%. Robert said that 25% was not enough and it would take a long time and work to make the business a success. He said that he was willing to partner with Daniel if they gave $100,000 for 35%. Juliette asked him if he was willing to meet in the middle at 30%.

Robert said that he was not ready to do that. The Clark family then accepted the offer. Manya said that Robert and Daniel were a perfect fit for their company because they came to the United States as immigrants and made their American dream come true and that was what she was hoping for.

Tandem Boogie Now in 2026 – The After Shark Tank Update

So Tandem Boogie partnered with Robert and Daniel and the tandem Boogie is now being sold online on its website. The Tandem Boogie is also available on Amazon among other retailers which indicates an increase in sales. It has a 4-star rating on Amazon which indicates that it is a major success.

The Tandem Boogie had a major distribution problem when it was on the Shark Tank and its presence in a major online retail outlet would indicate a major increase in sales. The company is called Tandm Surf now and it has over 1,500 followers on Facebook.

Tandem Surf has its own competition the Tandem Boogie Board Competition which was started in 2019. Tandm Surf is still located in California and its annual revenue is not yet disclosed but all signs point to it being in a much better place now than it ever was.

The post Tandem Boogie After Shark Tank – 2026 Update appeared first on Gazette Review.

Yono Clip Before Shark

Whether you’re going to the gym or having a night out, one thing is certain, you will need somewhere to hang your things. A fun night out can get problematic when there’s nowhere to put your things because there are too many germs and dirt everywhere you look. As for the gym, well, of course, every gym will provide you with a place to hang your clothes but running out of space is a common problem and you’re left wondering if you have to put them on the floor but you don’t want to because there are too many germs and dirt.

Michael Green and Bob Mackey were very enthusiastic about learning and Michael had even created his own company Science for Everyone that presented interactive science shows. The pair had met years before at Summer Fest. Michael and Bob combined their knowledge to develop the Yono Clip.

The Yono Clip is a clip with a suction system that made it easy to attach to any surface whether it was vertical, horizontal, or diagonal. The Yono Clip also had a carabineer clip which made its hook systems easy to change. Michael and Bob had a Kickstarter to raise some money and then launched the business.

The pair had only been in business for 2 months when they decided to seek help from the Shark Tank to boost sales and increase the capital that they needed to expand the business. They were on the 12th episode of season 12.

Yono Clip on Shark Tank

Michael Green and Bob Mackey went to Shark Tank seeking $150,000 for 15% of their business. This gave the Yono Clip a valuation of $1,500,000. They started their presentation by showing the sharks the problems people experienced carrying their luggage around. They then showed the shakes the solutions that the Yono Clip offered and how convenient it was. They also showed the sharks all the attachment options that the clip had before giving the sharks time to review the samples that they had been given.

Lori then confirmed the surfaces that the Yono Clip could be attached to because Michael and Bob had said that it could be attached to any porous surface. This would include metal, glass, or plastic. She then asked the pair what surfaces that clip would not work on. She was told that it would not work on brick. She asked what material the suction cup was made of because to her it felt very tacky but also very sticky.

She then confirmed how it worked by asking the pair if pulling its hook is what caused a suction backdraft. Bob said that things would be better if they saw the video. They then showed a video of the Yono Clip showing its parts and how it worked. Michaels also said that the clip could be attached to a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal surface.

Michael said that a lot of people looked at the product and thought of a purse hook on steroids but he showed the sharks that the Yono Clip works on surfaces and positions that a purse hook could never be attached on. After Michael’s explanation, Daymond was curious as to why they had not made the Yono Clip with more of a curve on it. This would allow for it to pull some things on it. He also thought that his suggestion could be used to be some rendition of it.

Michael said that you could hang those things from the Yono Clip’s carabiner clip. Daymond hadn’t seen that the Yono clip also had a carabiner clip where things could be attached. Lori then asked to know a bit about them. Michael said that Robert and he met about 10 years before at a youth technology summit called Stemfest. He said that ever since that time they had been great friends.

Michael also said that he owned a company called Science for Everyone. The business would present interactive science shows for everyone across the country. Mark Cuban asked him what kind of science he featured on his shows and Michael said that his show presented physical sciences and earth sciences. Michael then said that for them, the Yono Clip was much more than a product it was also a lighthouse.

Mark Cuban asked him if he would demonstrate the science behind it. Michael said that was the reason why. Michael said that he encouraged children to be the best versions of themselves every day. Lori then asked Bob about his history.

Bob said that the reason why he was at the Stemfest was that he was a speaker at the event. Many of the children were disadvantaged youth and he grew up as a disadvantaged youth. Bob said that he was a high school dropout and he had to help to provide for his family as he dropped out of high school. He then obtained a GED and went to a 4-year college. He became the president of boys and girls clubs in North and Central Georgia which was a big accomplishment for him. Michael said that he wanted to be that person that he never had.

Mark Cuban commended him for his accomplishments. Bob then said that he became friends with Michael and it was very hard to become friends with good people. Bob said that if he ever went into business, he wanted to do it with somebody reliable and he could believe in. He also wanted to do business with someone who wasn’t afraid to put their feet in the mud and he found that person in Michael.

Kevin then asked Michael and Bob about their sales. Bob said that as far as sales were concerned, they were a fairly new company. He added that they had been in business for only 2 months but they had made $14,500. Barbara said that they were brave men. Kevin then asked them what their cost of Research and Development was and he was told that they had launched a Kickstarter campaign and it had raised $10,000 in a day.

Mark Cuban then asked them where the other $4,000 had come from since they had got $10,000 from Kickstarter. Bob said that the other $4,000 had come from their website and the gym. Mark Cuban then asked them what their cost of manufacture was and what their cost of sales was.

Mark Cuban asked them what they were selling their Yono Clips for and what their cost of manufacture was. Bob said that they were made in their homes and garages and they were 3-d printed their retail price was $20 and it cost $10 to make them. Mark thought that the cost of manufacture was quite high. Michael said that one of the reasons why they needed the money was because they wanted to go from 3-D printing to a Molded design which would lower their cost of manufacture to $5.

Lori said that they were only beginning and Bob agreed and said that they could only print 10-15 a week. Barbara thought that the product would not perform well in a cluttered market and it would never be anything more than a side hustle for them for those reasons she left. Mark Cuban thought that they had a tough road ahead of them because it was not the kind of product that people saw and wanted to buy it immediately and for that reason, he left.

Kevin then left because he was working with a company that did the same thing. Lori said that as an investor she was out because she liked to go with things that are unique but she would hook them up with some injection molders. Daymond then offered them $150,000 for 30%. He said that they had greatly overvalued the company and they needed more help than they anticipated to make it a success.

Michael offered Daymond $150,000 for 20%. Daymond declined and the other sharks advised Michael and Bob to take Daymond’s offer. Michael and Bob then accepted Daymond’s offer. Michael said that he grew up wearing Daymond’s clothing and he now had Daymond as a partner and that was very exciting.

So the Yono Clip founders partnered with Daymond and went on to launch their website where the Yono Clip is now sold. The Yono Clip is now available in a variety of colors including pink, red, and black. The Yono Clip holds up to 15 pounds.

The Yono Clip has had competition from many other businesses that provide portable hooks that rely on a suction mechanism. The clips are just as efficient and are in major retailers such as Amazon so they will not be experiencing minor competition. Their competitors also get very high ratings- more than 4 out of 5 stars- while getting national recognition is still not yet done for them.

On Instagram, the Yono Clip has more than 1,500 followers. It also has over 2,500 followers on Facebook. Unfortunately, their activities do look to have slowed down, their Facebook page was last updated in February 2021. Their Instagram page was also last updated in October of 2022.

The annual revenue of the Yono Clip has not been disclosed. It was located in Atlanta Georgia and although it has not had the most explosive progress it is still a product that needs to be watched and a business with a lot of room for growth. Sales and distribution are not easy but once they are got right, there is not much that will stand in their way.

The post Yono Clip After Shark Tank – 2026 Update appeared first on Gazette Review.

Mighty Carver Before Shark Tank

When the holidays come in, nothing is more fun than entertaining our friends and family. One of the highlights of the holidays is cutting the turkey. The whole family surrounds the meal and some lucky one gets to cut it and share it with everyone else.

Lance Burney and Kim Burney were very enthusiastic about the tradition but thought that it needed a new twist. Knives were never cutting through bone and the person had to worry too much about techniques. When you’re cutting with a manual knife all you worry about is technique. Cutting with an unsharpened knife means you ruining perfectly good slices.

Kim Burney knew that this was a problem and she wanted to make something that would make the carving process more fun. The men in her life including her husband and father were also not too eager to take up the duty of carving the turkey when her grandfather who always did the job during the holidays passed away.

Kim Burney got innovative and created the Mighty Carver which was a mini electric saw that could be used to carve the turkey. The Mighty Carver could cut small strips from any part of the turkey guaranteeing you an enjoyable meal that was also fun to carve. Kim Burney worked with her husband Lance Burney to bring the product to the market.

The Mighty Carver had a great start but they still needed help marketing it. This was why they appealed to be on Shark Tank. Their appeal was successful and they were on the 4th episode of season 12.

Mighty Carver on Shark Tank

Lance Burney and Kim Burney went to the Shark Tank seeking $100,000 for 20% of their company. They started their presentation by showing the sharks how they had been given a new twist to a fun holiday tradition, cutting the turkey. They then demonstrated how beneficial it is to use the electric carver over a regular knife and even cut a roast turkey they had brought with the knife. Every shark had been given an electronic carver and they then reviewed theirs.

As the sharks reviewed their carvers, Daymond asked them how they had come up with the idea. Kim said that growing up, her grandfather was the one who normally cut the turkey. He was no longer with them and so somebody had to continue that great tradition. Kim had tried to figure out who should do it, whether it was her dad, her husband, or her brother.

She said that the men in her family loved power tools and she thought that if a power tool was used to cut the turkey, the men would be fighting over it. Kim was asked if the Mighty Carver was her idea and Lance said that it was her idea from start to finish.

Mark Cuban asked them if there was any way to have a childproof lock because that was their greatest fear. He had an 11-year-old and he was afraid that his son could gain access to it and destroy everything in his house. Kim said that electric knives had been there for a long time and they were supposed to be locked up just like regular knives. Mark Cuban complimented their design saying that those knives did not look as enticing as the Mighty Carver.

Lance said that it was best to lock it up and also put it in a high place. Kevin asked where they were selling the carvers. Lance said that he went to the international house the previous March and they had barely stayed there for a long time when they picked up some major resellers. They got some purchase orders while they were there.

Kevin said that the product was very easy to demonstrate visually and they could sell direct-to-customer which meant higher profit margins. He then asked them why they had not thought of that marketing strategy. Kim said that they had considered that sales strategy and it was what their plan was. Lance said that there were goals they had to achieve and at the time they were skewed towards resellers and 90% of their business was from resellers.

Lance said he would have to get that revenue back to be selling directly to consumers from their website. This was because at the time they were splitting their money with everyone and they had to bring it back their way. Kevin then asked them for their sales numbers. Lance said that they sold 8,500 units. Lori asked them how many months they had sold those units for. Lance said that he had sold those units in the past 12 months.

Barbara asked him what the total sales figure was and Lance said that in the past year, they sold units worth $163,000. They had sold goods worth $43,000 from that year to that date. Daymond then asked him what his cost of manufacture was. Lance said that it was $20 landed in the United States and they sold them for $60-$89.

Barbara asked them what the cost of a typical electrical knife was. Lance said that the branded ones cost around $169. However, the cheaper ones could be found for $19-$20. Lori asked them if they had a patent or any sort of coverage on the device.

Kim said that they had a design patent and a coverage patent. Lance said that their patents were very broad and that if anyone tried to make anything that remotely looked like a chainsaw on an electric knife they would be sued. Kevin got speculative. He said that with the right video and digital sales strategy, he could sell very many of the Mighty Carvers, especially over thanksgiving.

Lori then asked them if they had done any digital sales. She recited their sales figures and then asked them what percentage of their sales came from digital marketing. Lance said that about 10% of their revenue came from their digital sales. Kevin was disappointed with the figure and Lori asked Lance why he didn’t think the digital sales worked better.

Lance said that they were early and they did some of their marketing early. A lot of those sales showed up organically such as when the Wall Street Journal did an article on them and they sold 300 units the next day. Lori then asked them what time of the year they ran their ads. Lance said that they ran their ads on November 17th of that year. The following Monday Kim and He flew back from a dance competition and they shipped out 300 units.

Daymond asked them what dance competition they attended and if they were ballroom dancers. Daymond then said that they were living the best lives ever. Kevin said that he was interested in the offer because it would fit in his Chef Wonderful world. He thought he could get behind it and he had 3 studios so they could shoot some videos with him. Kevin then said that he wanted to do business with them and he wanted to offer $300,000 for 33.3%.

Daymond then offered them $100,000 for 27.5% of the product. The other sharks wanted to discuss the offer but Daymond said that if they took the offer immediately without waiting for the other offers they would get $100,000 for 25% of the business. Barbara and Mark were discussing and Kim asked Daymond if he would do the deal for 22% of the business.

Daymond declined. Barbara and Mark wanted more time to discuss but Kim and Lance accepted Daymond’s offer. Lance and Kim said that they were very happy with the deal.

Mighty Carver is also available on Amazon where it has been rated 4.5 out of 5 from 427 ratings. At the time Mighty Carver had not expanded significantly online and its presence on its own site and in major retailers is a sign of significant growth in retailers.

On Facebook, Mighty Carver has over 1,000 followers and on Instagram, it has over 3,500 followers. It is available at Walmart where it is rated 3.7 stars out of a possible 5. Mighty Carver has been featured on HSN and The Wall Street Journal.

The news coverage that the Mighty Carver gets is really what it needed. The Shark Tank effect has been seen more than once that when a product is presented on the show its sales skyrocket and that’s just from being on the show. Mighty Carver is not just been featured in the major news outlets but in many minor outlets as well and this would go a long way in boosting its sales as it needed to.

The sales of the carver have increased significantly since then and Mighty Carver has realized revenue of $8,000,000 since its time on the show. Mighty Carver was located in Sanford Florida and it continues to provide a fun way to carve up the turkey when the holidays arrive.

The post Mighty Carver After Shark Tank Update – 2026 Update appeared first on Gazette Review.

Brake Free Technologies Before Shark Tank

Motorcycles were supposed to be solely a means of transport. They get you from one point to another in a very short span of time thanks to their flexibility which allows them to cut through traffic saving so much time. However, motorcycles have developed into a fun activity and for many, nothing beats driving through their city or countryside with the wind in their hair. Motorcycle clubs have developed in many parts of the world.

Unfortunately, motorcycles have been known for the risk that comes with riding one and accidents are common thanks to them not being seen by vehicles. Getting hit by a turning vehicle is a very common risk for a motorcycle rider and a lifelong injury or even death can occur. This makes motorcycle riding an undesirable hobby for many.

Henry Li and Alex Arkhangelskiy were motorcycle enthusiasts and they were concerned about motorcycle safety. They knew one of the leading causes of motorcycle accidents was motorcycles not being seen and they knew that there was a way to improve rider visibility. That was why they came together and developed Brake Free Technologies.

Brake Free Technologies was a light that could be attached to the back of a helmet. The device could also be connected to the motorcycle’s braking system so that it responded to the transmission changes as the motorcycle’s lights do. Brake Free Technologies was still in its infancy stage when its founders decided to seek help from investors to help it grow. They were on the 8th episode of the 12th season of Shark Tank seeking an investor whose interest in the business would match theirs.

Brake Free Technologies on Shark Tank

Henry Li and Alex Arkhangelskiy went to the Shark Tank seeking $200,000 for their company Brake Free Technologies. Their presentation started with them talking about the enjoyment people got riding motorcycles. They then talked about the importance of safety and the measures that had already been taken by manufacturers and riders. They then showed the sharks why the safety measures already taken were not enough.

Henry and Alex then showed the sharks their brake-free devices and how they increased the visibility of the rider making it less likely for them to get hit by a vehicle that was behind them. They also showed the sharks how easy it was to attach to a helmet and then invited the sharks to try the one that they had presented. Kevin asked if the Brake Free Technology had a sensor to tell when it was full and he was told that it had such a sensor.

Mark Cuban asked them if they had taken out the same sensors that there were on a phone and plugged them into a device Henry said that was what they did. Mark Cuban then asked if it was doing the same automatic slow down and acceleration as the brake light on the motorbike and Henry said that it did. Barbara asked them if they had a patent for the device and Alex said that they had a utility patent for the device.

Barbara asked them how much the technology sold for and Alex said that the technology sold for $169. Barbara said that it was a lot of money but Mark Cuban said that it was not that bad. Henry said that it was not much money for someone who valued their safety and riders normally paid over $100 for their equipment. Mark Cuban then asked them where they were selling it, how many they had sold, and what was it costing them to make one of the devices.

Henry said that their cost was $42 per unit. Alex then said that they had made sales of $240,000 on Indiegogo so it was better if their sales were considered pre-orders at that point. Mark Cuban asked if they had shipped any yet but they were extremely close to shipping. Kevin then asked if they needed the $200,000 to build inventory and Alex confirmed that it was what they wanted the money for.

Kevin then asked them if they were confident with the design as it was to the extent that they would go out and build more. Kevin then asked them if they talked to customers because he saw a risk there. Kevin then said that the product was not for him. He would not argue with them about valuation although he loved to do it. He then left.

Barbara said that she should be the most interested of the sharks about the product because she had a younger brother who was crippled when he was run over by a truck from behind. The accident happened because the trucker did not see his brake lights. She said that she should be the one who was eager to invest in the product but she was not hearing anything clear and that would give her confidence that they could sell the device.

She lacked trust in that aspect of the business and to her, it was more important than the device so she left. Henry said that he thought that he and Alex were great salesmen and that was the reason why they were on the Shark Tank. Lori then said that she thought that the product was a genius-level device that was also fantastically done.

Lori then said that when products have liability issues that go with them it is much more challenging but she thought that it was necessary and needed. She said that not everything in Brake Free Technologies was worked out yet and because there was still liability potential she felt that she should not be involved with the business. For that reason, she was out.

Robert said that he thought that the product was brilliant and a great idea. However, a product’s greatness is not a guarantee that it will get to market. Henry said that he thought that they had all the money that they needed to get to the market. The only money that they needed from the sharks was money to scale. Henry said they needed to get to those economies of scale and that was where the sharks could help.

Robert said that they would also need the expertise to go to the market and Henry said that the expertise would be great. Robert then said that he was in the business, his friends were also in the business, and they knew the market. One of his friends owned Air Canada and they had connected with Ducati. Henry then said that they would love to be in dealerships.

Robert said that he thought that they would have to go there but it would not happen on that day. Robert then offered them $200,000 for 20%. He thought that they would be on the back of every motorcycle because there was a passion for riding motorcycles and this gave them that safety. Alex thought that it was a good offer and Henry agreed with Robert and said that the lighting technology matched its safety with style.

Kevin then asked them what they thought of the offer. Alex and Henry turned to Mark. Mark said that although Robert was more ingrained in motorcycle culture, he owned a company, Shortstop Guardian Bikes, which sold bike safety devices online and was very successful and was changing the industry.

Robert said that he had given them a fair deal and it was what he did. If Mark gave them a deal he was happy to drop out but they had not yet been given an offer in contrast to his fair offer. Alex and Henry discussed and Alex asked the sharks if they were willing to collaborate. Robert said that he was happy to accept the offer.

Henry and Alex accepted the offer. As they left, Alex said that the partnership was the dream and that Mark and Robert were the 2 people that they wanted and he couldn’t ask for more.

Brake Free Technologies Now in 2026 – The After Shark Tank Update

Brake Free Technologies partnered with Mark and Robert and has gone on to launch its website where it sells its product. They are now shipping the product across the United States and Canada. When it started, Brake Free Technologies had the philosophy of ensuring that its product would be easy to use and easy to install while still improving biker visibility exponentially. They succeeded with this when they started and there has not been much change in the design since then which does show that they found a winning formula.

ODR Skis Before Shark Tank

Dashing through the snow in a one-horse open sleigh is something that everyone looks forward to and when that’s not being done then skiing is on the table. Skiing across mountain ranges and hills is a hobby for millions of people. It’s too bad that it’s only done for a few months each year in most places.

Kevin Greco grew up in Alaska and spent his time skiing across every inch of the state where skiing was possible. It was an unforgettable experience for him. The only problem that Greco had with his skiing memories was the equipment. The equipment that was available was bulky, hard to learn, and dangerous.

Years later somebody would find a solution to these problems and develop ODR Skis which were skis that were sleek, hassle-free, easy to transport, and a thrill to use. With ODR Skis you would enjoy your skiing experience without the risk of out-of-control skis or runaway speeds. You also don’t need to use out-of-control bindings or leverage points.

Kevin Greco was motivated to join ODR Skis the moment he saw them and after a few years, he was the one running the company. Although Greco was experiencing a lot of growth he wanted some help with funding and expanding across the globe. This made him reach out to the Shark Tank. Greco was on the 7th episode of season 12.

ODR Skis on Shark Tank

When Kevin Greco went to the Shark Tank he sought $350,000 for 10% of his business ODR skis giving it a valuation of $3,500,000. He started by telling the sharks where he grew up and how he got to learn so much about skiing. He then told the sharks about the problems a person had with equipment when they went skiing. He then showed the sharks the benefits that ODR skis presented as they were easy to use and hassle-free.

Greco then showed the sharks a video of people using ODR skis. He, however, did not give the sharks any samples to review since there was no place to test them. Once the presentation was finished, Lori had to ask Greco if there were other skis like his in the market. Greco said that there had been none for a while but they had started to get some competition. However, their skis were unique because they had a fully integrated system.

The integrated system meant that even though they looked like ski boots, they were flexible like tennis shoes. They were the only ones in the industry using a system known as liquid steel injection molding which really set them apart from the rest. Liquid Steel Injection Molding would give the rider better edge control on harder-packed and groomed snow conditions.

Mark Cuban asked Greco how long he had been in the business. Greco said that he had been doing his work since 2017. Mark Cuban then asked him if he had started selling them in 2017. Greco said that the company had been in business for one year when he joined it in 2017. Daymond then asked him to clarify why somebody else was doing this initially.

Greco said that he joined the company in 2017 as a distributor he didn’t know at the time that in a few years, he would end up owning the global brand. Mark Cuban then asked Greco to tell the sharks about his journey to becoming the brand owner since there must have been a founder. Greco said that he had always wanted to be a disruptor and he had always wanted to work on technologies that are creating new opportunities.

Greco saw a video of the product and he was so inspired that he at once wanted to become a part of the movement. He raised $100,000 to own the distribution rights in America. From there, he built the company and got very powerful with the sales that were being generated. Kevin then asked Greco how he had got to be given all the business shares.

Greco said that he got all the equity because he was an expert in sales. Greco was eating market shares at an amazing rate which Mark Cuban wanted to hear more about. Greco was so good at his job that he overwhelmed their supply chain and they had to make a choice. The choice was to either let Greco take over the company and for the business owners to accompany him to the next winter sport or he ends up as a business rival. The sharks were impressed by the story.

Kevin then asked Greco what percentage of the company Greco owned. Greco said that he owned all the shares in the business worldwide. Barbara asked Greco what he paid to own the company. Greco said that he initially invested $100,000 but he ended up putting in an additional $50,000. He then took an investment to complete the buyout of the entire company and that cost an additional $200,000.

Lori then asked Greco if the company was originally an international company. Kevin then asked him where the company initially was and he was told that the company was in Norway and they operated in around 20 countries. The business had always had a problem with its model since its start but Greco provided a better sales model. At that time, Greco believed that the key to their success, and winter sports’ success was a direct-to-consumer model.

Greco thought that they should make a product that was easier to size and easier to fit. He focused on digital sales. Kevin said that he was a skier and he wanted to know what made the ODR skis any different from the Shorties that he had with binding on them and it was not easy skiing with Shorties because they did not have a big base.

Greco said that there were skiers who had achieved speeds of 60 mph with the product that they had in front of them. Mark Cuban said that just because people could, it didn’t mean that they should. Greco said that people could achieve great speed and he was very happy that there had been no reports of major injuries because if you fell while wearing ODR skis you fell naturally.

Barbara asked him what his cost of manufacturing was and Greco said that it cost $100 to make it and it was sold for $350. Barbara said that an average ski cost $350 – $400 and Greco agreed. Kevin then asked Greco what his sales were. Greco said that in 2016 he made $238,000 in sales. In 2017 he got involved halfway through the season and they realized $660,000 in sales.

In 2018, ODR Skis made $977,000. Kevin asked him about the expectations for the next season and Greco said that they were on track to make $1,500,000 that season. Kevin asked him if he would make any profit from the $1,500,000 that expected to make. Greco said that they were expected to achieve profitability in that year.

Barbara asked Greco if he had never had a profit to that date. Greco said that in 2018 they made $120,000. Their problem had always been synchronizing their digital sales with their wholesalers across the globe. Daymond asked him why he bought out the previous owner so ruthlessly but Greco explained to Daymond that he did not do it without regard for the business owner.

Daymond then left and he said that it was because he did not see how he would bring any value to the business. Lori then left and it was because although she loved Greco, she just did not know anything about skiing. Mark Cuban followed suit and also left. He said that it was because he did not know much about skiing but he thought that Greco was a great guy.

Kevin then left and he said that it was because he just couldn’t get there as an investor. Barbara then left and she said that after Greco bought out the owner of the company she would be afraid to work with him and for that reason, she was out. Greco said that all the sharks would regret not investing in him as they watched the company grow.

It has now increased the number of products and accessories that it now sells. They now provide Dynamic Wax and a travel bag. ODR Skis now come with a 60-day guarantee and a 12-month warranty. ODR Skis are cheaper because when conventional skis are bought you also have to buy skis, boots, poles, and bindings.

ODR Skis has been featured on The Discovery Channel, Thrillist, and Scheels showing that the business is newsworthy. On Instagram, ODR Skis has over 37,000 followers. It also has over 38,000 followers on a fan page started for it. Its own Facebook page has around 1,000 followers. The company benefitted immensely from the Shark Tank effect and received a lot more offers after its pitch on the show even though no offer was made.

ODR Skis is located in Salt Lake City and it is making an annual revenue of $2,500,000. The company is proving to be one worth investing in.

The post ODR Skis After Shark Tank – 2026 Update appeared first on Gazette Review.

All33 Before Shark Tank

Chair design has remained the same for quite some time. The chair itself has been around for thousands of years and the lag in new design has meant that for more than a thousand years people have been suffering from back problems. Whether it’s at home or the office, you are assured of an unpleasant time once you are ready to sit down for more than 5 minutes.

Is sitting the new smoking? For some people it is and the poor chair design is crippling them. Dr. Dennis Colonello had treated back problems for more than 45 years. In that time he had developed ways to keep the back muscles moving as you go about your day-to-day activities.

Bing Howenstein was a serial entrepreneur always looking for products that could help people. He went to see his friend Dr. Dennis Philanel and saw that he was interested in the work of Dr. Dennis Colonello and had made a chair which Bing thought was a game changer in the chair-making business. The chair had a rocking bottom that made it possible for all 33 of a person’s vertebrae to move as they sat guaranteeing comfort and being able to sit for a longer period of time.

Bing and Dennis started All33 which was a business that sold the chair and it was such a success that even major celebrities endorsed it. The company had a great start but still needed more funding and strategy to grow. That’s why they turned to the Shark Tank. Bing made his pitch on the 9th episode of season 12.

All33 on Shark Tank

Bing Howenstein went to the Shark Tank seeking $500,000 for 2.5% of his business All33. This gave All33 a value of $20,000,000. He started by showing the sharks the problems people experienced with conventional furniture. He then showed the sharks the solutions that Alll33 furniture provided for back relief. He also showed the sharks an endorsement that he got from Justin Bieber. Bing then invited Kevin to try sitting on his seat.

Kevin said that he was skeptical about all the claims made about the chairs because he had seen so many. However, as some time passed he said that the device was working. However, he did not like the valuation of the company. Bing said that he was happy to talk about it. Daymond also asked Bing to tell him how he had gotten into the business and how everything happened.

Bing said that he had been a patient of Dr. Philanel for about 20 years. From that relationship they became friends. He became a bit of a serial entrepreneur from then making products and ensuring that they were sold. From there, he got into the back chair space. At some point, he sat on his friend’s chair and it was so comfortable that he knew that it was an entirely different game.

He knew that his friend Dennis would never do anything with his chair and so Bing decided that as a friend he would do a Kickstarter for his friend. The Kickstarter performed very well. Barbara then asked him what very well was for him. Bing said that the Kickstarter raised $800,000. The sharks thought that his evaluation was correct, the Kickstarter had gone very well. Daymond then asked Bing if he had licensed the All33 or bought it from his friend.

Bing said that he owned a percentage of the business. Daymond then asked him how much of the company he owned. Bing said that he owned about 5%. Barbara said that a premium chair in the market sold for about $2,000. She then asked Bing what the selling price of the chair was. Nick said that the chair was sold for $799.

Mark Cuban asked Bing what his margins were and what it cost to make them. Bing said that his profit margins were around 67% and the cost of delivery was about $260. Kevin still had a problem with the valuation and so he had to ask Bing how many chairs he was selling.

Bing said that in that year alone they had already sold chairs worth $3,500,000 and they expected to realize $5,500,000 in sales by the end of the year. Kevin then asked them how much profit they expected from the $5,500,000 sales. Bing said that they were slightly profitable in the second quarter and they expected to also be profitable in the third quarter.

Kevin said that he still needed some help seeing the value of the chair and he still could not understand why the business was valued at $20,000,000. Bing said that he was looking for cups for other companies that were in a similar space and they would have 3-4 times more revenue and he was certain that they would get there. Bing said that he had also talked to the market and it was not only his opinion that a $20,000,000 valuation was fair.

Daymond then asked Bing why he was there if so many people had given him that valuation. Bing said that it was because an investment from the sharks was better than an investment from anybody else. Daymond asked if they were being charged more because they were sharks. Bing said that he was not and he was even ready to give them a discount because they were sharks.

Daymond then asked if he could give a discount. Bing said that he was the CEO of the company and he was there to make a deal. Mark Cuban said that All33 was primarily a marketing company. They had their product and they had it right. The product also had its angles and differentiations. However, Mark Cuban did not want to be in the chair business and he felt that it was just not for him and for that reason, he left.

Barbara told Bing that if he had gone to the Shark Tank to sell a chair she would have bought a chair because he would have been the perfect guy. However, he was not there to sell a chair, Bing was there to sell a business. She felt that he lacked credibility because he only owned 5% of the business and he thought that it was a lesson for other entrepreneurs that they should not send a salesman to the Shark Tank.

Bing said that he had dedicated his life to the task and saying that he was simply a salesman was a bit of a denigration. Bing said that he was building a company and a movement in a sector that wasn’t there before. All33 was going up against the bigger companies in a fractured system that he looked forward to breaking.

Barbara said that she wished that she could see him making a category but she could not see it as a category. Instead, she saw it as a chair with a new design element. It wasn’t getting her excited in any way and for that reason, she left.

Lori then left and she said that the problem for her was the valuation. She thought that it was a bit too high and it was also a bit too soon to be investing in the business. Daymond followed suit and left because he was working with a larger company that was selling something similar and so for him, it would be a conflict of interest.

Kevin followed the other sharks and left because of the offer made. He said that he didn’t want to bargain and so he left. Bing said that he was offended by being called a salesman by Barbara and it was the least enjoyable part of his Shark Tank experience.

However, it looks like operations have stopped. The All33 website is no longer operational and the last time new content was posted on its social media was in November of 2022. What could have caused the closure of the business?

There are several factors that were working against the business and it reflects in the fact that none of the sharks wanted to invest in it. One of the problems was that the back-chair market was quite developed and so there are consistently new entries that could have proved to be more efficient than the ones in the market. Bing had said that he was not the inventor of the All33 and if the inventor no longer had any interest in the business then they would have been surpassed as other copied their innovations and improved on them.

On Instagram, All33 has over 3,400 followers and it was the only social media account that they have as far as we know. The business was located in Las Vegas and made an annual revenue of $1,400,000. There are substitutes but All33’s presence will be missed and hopefully, it will come back soon.

The post All33 After Shark Tank – 2026 Update appeared first on Gazette Review.

People everywhere are looking for a competitive edge in their day-to-day activities. Whether it’s in the office, on the sports pitch, or in an online game, mental performance is not only necessary but also being improved. everyone is also looking for a way to improve it. Caffeine and sugar are two chemicals that increase performance and we chug down huge amounts of them just to stay ahead of the game.

Caffeine and sugar also have the problem of not being utilized completely since they travel throughout the body. Only a small portion is used. However, a new way to improve your focus is developing and it promises to revolutionize the way we think about peak performance.

Transcranial direct current stimulation is a neurostimulation system that stimulates the brain with the use of electrodes. The Liftid is a device that was developed to use TDCS to stimulate the brain. The Liftid device has a mild electric current that passes through two electrodes to stimulate the brain.

Ken Davidov was one of the most successful salesmen in the United States and had worked with many of the leading companies where he had become their best salesman more than once. He thought that the Liftid had the potential to help a lot of people and so he sold the device hoping to boost its popularity.

Although Ken together with Allyson Davidov had sold some of the Liftid devices successfully, they needed some help to get their numbers. They thought that the Shark Tank investors could help and that’s why they applied to be on the show. They were on the 5th episode of season 12. Daniel Lubetzky was also on the episode as a guest shark.

Liftid on Shark Tank

Ken and Allyson Davidov went to the Shark Tank seeking $200,000 for 10% of the Liftid business. This gave the business a value of $2,000,000. The couple started their presentation by showing the sharks the demand that there was for better mental performance. They then showed the sharks how Liftid improved their performance. Every shark was given a Liftid headband when the presentation started so after the explanation of how the device worked, they activated their device together with the sharks so that everyone could experience its effect.

Mark Cuban said that he felt like he was being shocked and Ken said that the therapy felt like that. Ken asked them if they felt a tingling sensation on their foreheads. Kevin said that he felt it in his teeth as well. Daniel Lubetzky said that it stung a little bit. Robert said that he had not felt that same stimulus with coffee or anything. He then asked if the effect was immediate.

Allyson said that when the Liftid was used, you were supposed to do something to get the brain working and focusing on something. That was how an individual could improve their focus. The sharks then started to take off their Liftid bands as they were satisfied with the demonstration. Lori then asked how they knew that nothing could go wrong.

Ken said that TCDS had been backed by over 5,000 studies and it was being used to treat many diseases including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Epilepsy. Kevin then asked if there was any evidence that the treatment worked. Lori then asked them what the Liftid specifically did for those with those conditions.

Ken said that the brain had billions of neurons and most of those neurons are dormant. However, when you have a stimulation session such as working on a spreadsheet, neuroplasticity occurs. When neuroplasticity occurs during a certain activity, it means that the next time that activity occurs, the number of neurons that will be active will be higher.

Mark Cuban then told the other sharks that the Liftid came with a warning and he read it out to them. He said that the device should not be used if it did not have any electrical implanted metal devices, metal plates in the brain or the head, a pacemaker, or a defibrillator. The Lifitid should also not be used if you have epilepsy seizures, brain lesions, or severe heart disease.

The instructions also said that the Liftid should not be used if the person had broken skin, sensitive skin, or a rash. It should also not be used if you have open wounds such as sores, cuts, and pimples. The Liftid should also not be used while an individual is driving, drinking, operating machinery, or in any situation where they may be impaired.

The Liftid instructions also said that it had no medical benefit and was not intended to prevent or treat any medical condition. Allyson said that they were not making any medical claims. Mark accepted her point that she was not making any medical claims but he did ask her what the point of the device was if it did not have any medical benefit.

Ken said that it was for cognitive benefit. It was for focus, attention, and memory. Lori said that she had seen the couple’s passion for the product. She wanted to know why they were so passionate about the product and why they decided to do it. Ken said that he always had an eye for product and he was the Hasbro national salesman of the year when he was 23 years old. When Ken was in college, he sold solar hats on the streets of DC.

Ken wanted to continue telling the sharks about his resume but Kevin cut him off saying that he had a question. Ken went on talking which Kevin didn’t like but he said that he had even been to every trade show that there was on the planet and he had sold electronics for over 30 years. Kevin then asked him how much of the product they had sold.

Ken said that they had sold around 1,240 pieces since October. Kevin then asked them how much they sold for. Ken said that their landing cost was $22 and they sold for $149. Kevin asked how much revenue they had generated and he was told that they had generated $126,000.

Lori said that her problem with the product was that it made claims and she had never invested in a product that made claims such as you could lose weight or you could look better. She was determined to always show 100% efficacy. She could not show it with that product and so she left.

Robert said that he thought that Ken was a great salesman. However, that did not justify the horrific presentation that he had given. Robert said that all Ken had done that day is talk and talk and talk. He said that Ken had come very aggressively like a machine gun. According to Robert, Ken was supposed to share information with them but that could not be done by talking over people the way Ken had been doing.

For those reasons stated above, Robert left. Daniel Lubetzky said that he didn’t doubt that Ken believed everything that he shared and it could be true. However, he could not connect to the stuff and he could not invest in stuff that he could not connect to so he left. Ken said that being on the Shark Tank was a dream come true for him.

Kevin said that he thought that Ken was a great salesman but his presentation would go down as one of the craziest pitches on Shark Tank. He then left. Mark Cuban then left and he said that it was because they had tried to sell science without using science.

As he left, Ken said that the sharks were going to regret not investing in them. They were in a multibillion-dollar market and they could not wait to continue growing their brand.

Its retail price is $169. On Amazon, it has 3.7 stars out of a possible 5 from 204 ratings. This would indicate that it is bought by enough people but it is not getting the level of customer satisfaction that a product that is considered a top seller is.

Why would it not get higher ratings or sales? The biggest reason would be that it was not as popular. Although people are looking for an increase in mental performance TDCS would be a major move and it is a move that they are not willing to consider. Liftid has over 1,500 followers on Instagram and over 800 followers on Facebook. It also has over 1,000 followers on Twitter.

The Liftid was awarded the Gadgetflow 2019 award for the best product. This indicates that it is not just selling but earning a great amount of recognition from tech reviewers giving it even more credibility. Lori had refused to work with the Davidov founders because she could not guarantee efficacy but such an award does go to prove how credible the company and product are.

Liftid offices are located in New York. It has an annual revenue of $5,000,000 and a valuation of over $20,000,000. The rejection from the sharks has not created any stormy weather in the profit books at all.

The post Liftid After Shark Tank Update 2026 – Where Are They Now appeared first on Gazette Review.

Animated Lure Before Shark Tank

Fishing is not only an economic activity. It is also a very popular pastime activity and people all around the world get into their boats and enjoy a few hours in a lake, ocean, or even at a river bank. A good catch is more than a day’s dinner.

Sobhan Sanaee was the son of immigrants to the United States. He worked as a project manager in a manufacturing plant. In his spare time, he went fishing with his father and it was an activity they really enjoyed. At some point, while they were fishing, Sobhan saw that they had a problem.

Traditional lures took a long time to set up and the possibility of snagging another lure in the water was high. In addition to this, traditional lures such as worms are bulky and messy. The risk of them soiling the boat is just too high. Sabhan Sanaee had been raised to not just spot problems but also find solutions and he was determined to find a solution to his problems.

He partnered with Kanz Kayfan to create the Animated Lure. The Animated Lure was a robotic lure that looked like a fish. It would be hooked onto the fishing reel like regular bait and dipped into the water. The Animated Lure’s electric motor would then make it swim attracting bigger fish to come to take a bite. The lure had a rechargeable battery and came in a variety of sizes.

Sobhan and Kanz created a business with the same name, Animated Lure, and they wanted to expand it but didn’t know how they could do it. They thought that a shark’s help would go a long way and that’s why they went to the Shark Tank. They were featured on the 3rd episode of season 12.

Animated Lure on Shark Tank

When the Animated Lure founders, Sobhan Sanaee and Kanz Kayfan went to the Shark Tank, they sought 325,000 for 10% of their business. This gave Animated Lure a valuation of 3,250,000. They started their pitch by showing the sharks the problems that people experienced with regular bait. They then showed the sharks the benefits they could reap from using the Animated Lure over other baits.

Lori then asked Daymond if the Animated Lure was different from anything that he had used to fish with. Daymond said that he had never seen it and so he asked Sobhan and Kanz how often it rusted and how many times he had to rebuy the unit. Sobhan said that it could be used about 40 times and that was if it was being used to catch fish and such.

Kevin then asked how long the Animated Lure could hold a charge. Sobhan said that the mini’s batteries could last for about 45 minutes. The classics were another category of the lure and they could charge for about one and a half hours. The saltwater was the third brand that they had and it had a battery life of two hours.

Robert then asked them what made them fish experts. He also wanted to know why he should believe them. Sobhan said that he was a project manager at a manufacturing facility. Kanz was a professional counselor and he worked for a community. Kanz worked in a community mental health facility in Collin County.

Robert said that their experience made sense. Sobhan then said that it was something he saw growing up because he and his father used to go fishing. However, when his father got older, he was diagnosed with a lung disease. Sobhan’s father concluded that his disease was just part of human nature. However, it was also around that time that they saw the problems that there were with the traditional fishing methods.

Sobhan’s parents told him that he should not just be identifying problems but also trying their best to be part of the solution. These words meant a lot to him because they came from his parents, the individuals who sacrificed everything to ensure that their children could contribute to the betterment of society. His parents had migrated from another country to the United States so that their children could have a better future and they had wanted their children to also take control of their own destinies.

Lori then asked Sobhan where he had come from. Kanz and Sobhan both said that they had come from Iran. Mark Cuban then asked them what the cost of the lure was as well as its sales price. He also wanted to know what its total sales were.

Kanz said that the landing price for the mini was $8. The landing price for the classic was $10 and the saltwater lure had a landing price of $16. The mini had a retail price of $29.95. The classic had a retail price of $32.95 and the saltwater had a retail price of $79.95. Lori commended them for their huge sales margins.

Kevin asked them if all the sales were direct-to-customer or through retail. Kanz said that most of their sales were through their website. However, they also sold through a few retailers in the United States. They also had a distributor in Canada who had gotten them shelf space in about 40 stores. Kevin then asked them if they were in any of the major big-box retailers.

Sobhan said that the sharks could help them get into the big box retailers. Their calls were not being picked up but they were certain that the sharks could help them with that. Kevin then inquired about their sales and he said that given that they had valued their company at $3,250,000 they should have a good amount.

Kanz said that since 2020, they made sales of $247,000. We’re projecting that for the next year, they should have sales of $500,000. Kanz expected to make $625,000 in sales in that year. Mark Cuban then asked them if they were profitable that year. Kanz said that Sobhan and he were working full time and for that reason, they did not have any debt. They had put their own money into the business.

The sharks asked them how much of their own money they had put in and Kanz said about $125,000 which was what got them started. Kanz then said that they had not taken a penny out of their own company. They had invested every cent that they had earned back into the company. Daymond asked them if they owned the company and he was told that they did own it equally.

Kevin said that he didn’t think that the Animated Lure should be sold as fishing bait. Instead, they should be placed in an aquarium. Robert agreed with him and Mark Cuban said that restaurants would be ideal targets. Mark Cuban then left and he said that it was because he was just not a fisherman and he did not have any feelings for it.

Lori then left. She said that she was not a fisherman and she just didn’t know anything about fishing. She also thought that it was a little early for her. Kevin said that the duo was not really a company, they were only a product. Kevin then offered $325,000 but he wanted a royalty of $3 per unit sold until $1,000,000 is paid and 10% of the company.

Robert then left and he said that he didn’t think the business was for him. Daymond said that he liked the product but it would take too long for him to recoup his investment and so his was out. Kanz then asked Kevin if he would pay $500,000 for 10% of the business. Kevin refused the offer.

Kanz and Sobhan then asked Kevin if he was willing to give $325,000 for a royalty of $1.50 per unit sold until $500,000 was paid. He would also get 10% of the company. Kevin declined the offer and then left. He then said his initial offer of $325,000 with a royalty of $3 per unit sold until $1,000,000 is paid and 10% of the business.

Kanz and Sobhan accepted the offer. Kanz and Sobhan said that Animated Lure had just started as a small business, and for them, achieving the American dream was just wonderful.

They are still selling on their website and they have increased their line of products. The classic, mini, and saltwater lures are still there but they now also have the premium classic, premium mini, and premium saltwater. They are now also selling polo shirts.

The Animated Lure is also now available on Amazon. It has been rated 3 out of 5 stars. On Facebook, it has garnered over 6,800 followers. On Instagram, it has over 5,000 followers. It also has over 2,900 followers on Twitter. Other companies have sprouted that do the same thing but Animated Lure is still competitive.

Animated Lure is located in Plano Texas. It is no longer having retail problems and is now stocked in major retailers. This indicates that it is in a better position than it was when the founders went into the Shark Tank and there is only room for it to grow bigger, not smaller.

The post Animated Lure After Shark Tank Update 2026 – Where Are They Now appeared first on Gazette Review.

Katamco Before Shark Tank

The bathroom break is an essential part of life. However, people often take too long and waste so much time procrastinating in the bathroom. 5-minute affairs can become 20-minute affairs thanks to devices such as mobile phones being scrolled during that time. The practice of carrying a newspaper as you go to the toilet has also become more acceptable. The toilet is no longer viewed as a place to answer a call of nature but also to relax and unwind.

However, with this comfort does come the problem of people taking too long which is a problem especially when other people are waiting for the washroom. Katy Stephy had experienced this problem more than enough times when her husband, Adam Stephy was taking too long in the bathroom and she wanted a solution.

Katy and Adam developed the Katamco toilet timer which was a timer that could be used in the bathroom. The timer worked with a sand system like an hourglass and just by placing it the right way up it started its countdown. The Katamco timer business was off to a great start and was a great success. In fact, on some occasions, the business would run out of inventory.

Adam and Stephy needed more funding to expand operations and so reached out to the Shark Tank to see if they could get an investor who could help them grow. The sharks saw potential in the business and invited them to the show to tell them more about the business. Adam and Katy were on the 7th episode of the 12th season.

Katamco on Shark Tank

When Adam Stephy and his wife Katy Stephy went to the Shark Tank, they sought $200,000 for 10% of their company. This gave Katamco a valuation of $2,000,000. Katy Stephy came to the presentation by herself and started it by herself. She was joined by Adam soon enough. His delay showed the sharks the problems people experience waiting for too long for someone who was in the bathroom. Katy then showed the sharks the solutions that Katamco presented.

After the explanation, the sharks were each given a sample to review. Mark Cuban said that It was common for legs to fall asleep as someone was doing it. He also said that for many men that was the only time that they got some privacy. Adam said that it could be a product that men don’t want. Adam said that it would be a product that a man would not want but a woman would look at it and conclude that he needs the product.

Mark Cuban then asked if it was supposed to be a gag gift. Adam said that it was primarily a gag gift but there was a practical side to the device. Kevin then asked them what the practical side of the device was. Adam said that being on the toilet for too long can be bad for a person’s butt and gut health.

Adam then showed the sharks a video of Dr. Bradley Rieders, a gastroenterologist. Dr. Bradley said that he tells his patients to stay in the toilet for more than 3-5 minutes. He said that this will prevent fissures, hemorrhoids, and bleeding. He concluded by saying that lingering in the loo was bad for somebody’s health.

Kevin then said that he was pragmatic and he was a bit skeptical about the idea since they didn’t know much about it and it looked overvalued. Mark Cuban thought that since they didn’t even know what the product sold for so it was too early to dismiss them. Adam then told them that they would provide them with some numbers. Barbara then asked for the numbers.

Adam said that they made $250,000 in sales in the Christmas of 2019. Kevin then asked them what the cost of making the product was and he was told that it was about $3 landed. He was asked how much it cost to sell them and he said that it was sold for $14.99. Barbara didn’t believe the figures and Adam agreed that they were unbelievable.

Kevin then asked them where the product was sold and Adam said that they were primarily sold on Amazon. Adam then said that the product lends itself to incensing very easily. Each shark had been given a covered item and they were asked to uncover them. They uncovered the items and saw that each of them had been given a Katamco timer with their own sticker.

Kevin said that he used to laugh at such novelty items until he got into the potato parsing business and he no longer laughed at them because of the amount of revenue that they could generate. Kevin then asked them how much they expected the custom edition to generate. Adam said that he expected to sell around $250,000 in that year.

Mark Cuban then asked them how they marketed the product and if people were just looking for it on Amazon. Adam said that over the past 2 Christmases, Amazon’s algorithm had picked up that people liked the product. This led to them not having to spend anything on advertising the next year. Daymond then asked Adam what revenue he was expecting that year. Adam said that if he did not get a deal from the sharks he expected to record $1,000,000 in sales that year and that was because that was all the product he expected to buy that year.

Barbara asked Adam why he expected his sales to go from $250,000 to $1,000,000 in that year without any publicity. Adam said that they had already made $318,000 in that year, in the non-customized skew. and $250,000 of that sale was on the Father’s day holiday that had just passed. Kevin said that he could not believe where the sales that he had were coming from.

Adam then said that they could do $3,000,000 in that year. Barbara then asked him if he had said $1,000,000 just a few moments before. Adam said that he had but that was by himself. He then said that his bank was not scaling with him. He then said that he could do $3,000,000 if he could get help with inventory. He then said that once past trends were analyzed, he could see that they should have expected major sales in that year and he wanted to be ready for it.

Adam was asked if he needed $200,000 for inventory and he said that he needed $200,000 for some other stuff and then some more money for inventory. Lori then asked him what other stuff he needed money for. Adam said that he had a production facility in China and he wanted to turn it into a higher-volume production facility.

Barbara thought that he had great margins and she asked him why reinvestment would be a priority for him. Lori then said that she didn’t think that there was anything that they should supply a manufacturer with unless they owned the company themselves. Instead, companies should ramp up their systems to accommodate their demands.

Lori then left and she said that although she thought that it was a great business run by a great group of people however she did not have anything of major benefit to the business. Kevin then left because he thought that they had asked for too much money and he wasn’t willing to make a lower offer. Barbara then told them that they didn’t have a business they had a gimmick and she didn’t think that the business would last for a long time but it would make some money in the short term. For that reason, she left.

Daymond asked Adam how much he had started the company with and Adam said that he had started it with $300. Daymond was impressed with how he had taken the business to earn $1,000,000 annually. However, it did not resonate with him so he was still not going to invest.

Mark Cuban was the only shark left and he offered $200,000 and he asked for 25%. Adam accepted Mark’s offer. Adam was happy to accept the offer and he said that he thought that they would do great business with the product.

The Katamco timer got a deal from Mark Cuban and went on to do business as usual. The Katamco toilet timer was sold on Amazon where it got a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 16,000 reviews. However, the business seems to have run out of steam. When we checked their website we found that it was no longer functional. It also was not available on Amazon.

On Instagram, Katamco had 350 followers and on Facebook, it has over 8,000 followers. However, the last posts were in September of 2022. Has the business run out of steam? Everything seems to indicate that it has. Why would this happen? Well, the first and biggest problem for Katamco was that it was supposed to be a seasonal gift.

The Katamco Toilet Timer had great sales during the Christmas season and on holidays such as Father’s day. However, it did not have as much sales in the months after and this could have led to a long-term decline in performance. Katamco has not listed its profits but the founders had made much more than they had invested before it closed down making it a success even though it is no longer in operation.

The post Katamco After shark Tank – 2026 Update appeared first on Gazette Review.
