Marbles are more than just toys for children – they’re also precious collectibles, especially for enthusiasts.

The value of these marbles varies significantly depending on various factors such as age, condition, type, and rarity. The world’s most expensive marbles come with fascinating histories and unique features that make them highly sought after.

In this article, we will delve into the top 10 most expensive marbles in the world.

Top 10 Most Expensive Marbles in the World in 2026

Without further delay, here are some of the most valuable marbles that exist today.

10. Black and White Navarre Marble – $1638

This unique zebra-colored marble fetched nearly $1700 at auction – multiple times more than what most people spend on marbles in their entire lives. The price of the marble began at $500 and was estimated to sell for at least $2000.

This Black and White Navarre Marble is roughly 1 and a half inches in diameter. It also looks slightly different when viewed from above – such variances in appearance can make a marble more desirable. It was also listed in mint condition. Given that some of the other most expensive marbles have sold for higher prices in worse condition, whoever nabbed this marble got a great deal!

9. Onionskin Mica Marble – $2,632

The “onionskin” marble gets its name from the swirls of color and texture on its exterior. With this marble, the onionskin pattern is blended with mica speckles. Mica is a thin, silicon-like mineral that is sometimes used to accent different marbles. Cheaper marbles often mimic patterns of mica specks, but authentic mica has a distinctive luster. This 1 19/32” onionskin mica pattern marble sold was sold by Morphy Auctions in 2009.

8. Sulphide Ship Marble – $6,000

Sulphide Marbles are characterized by the presence of three-dimensional figures that are encased within the glass.

These figures are typically made of porcelain and can include a wide variety of subjects, from animals to people, and in the case of Sulphide Ship Marbles, ships. The ship is beautifully rendered with an impressive level of detail, trapped within the clear glass marble, providing an intriguing focal point.

7. Double Pontil Patches Marble – $7,800

The Double Pontil Patches Marble is a distinctive type of collectible marble that has gained notable attention in the world of antique marbles. This unique variation of marbles is characterized by two pontil marks that are typically seen on its surface rather than the usual single mark.

The term “pontil” refers to the point where the marble was separated from the rod during its creation process, often leaving a rough or unpolished patch. These marbles are typically more valuable than their single pontil counterparts due to their rarity and the complexity involved in their production.

6. Indian Mag Lite Marble – $9,200

Another Morphy Auctions Marble – this Indian marble sold at Morphy’s $2.6 million dollar spring toy auction in 2008. The marble is notable for its contrasted colors – blue, white, yellow, black, and even hints of purple. 60 different bidders (on the phone, live, and online) competed to be the proud owner of this marble, and their bidding war resulted in the marble selling for more than twice its initial estimate.

Like most other marbles of its time, this marble is 1 9/16” inches in diameter. It was one of the most expensive marbles sold during that auction – there were five other marbles that sold for over $5k and many others that sold for more!

5. Onionskin Blizzard Marble – $9,775

With 4 panels of color and floating pieces of silver mica floating about its exterior, this is definitely a marble to play “keeps” for! This blizzard marble is also larger than average at 2 1/6” in diameter. Both the onionskin and blizzard patterns are coveted by collectors, and the blend of unusual colors in this marble also contributed to its final price. It was sold in 2009.

4. Onionskin Swirl Marble – $10,350

This 2 1/8’ marble sold for a record price in 2008 at Morphy Auctions. The marble is made from hand-blown glass and features a wide range of colors that blend smoothly with little color clashing. Not only is this marble a rare find, but it’s also a legitimate art piece in the eyes of collectors.

To the average person, 10k may be a bit much for a single marble. However, this particular piece’s artful design and craftsmanship contribute to its cost. The price range for the most expensive marbles are affected by collector’s preferences, and this design fills several popular niches.

3. Single Gather Confetti Mica Marble – $10,999

Created circa 1860, this marble is in incredible condition for its age. Confetti is a common pattern on cheaper marbles, but the pattern is often created with paint. This marble’s specks are made with actual mica, which ups its value significantly. The auction house it was sold at outright stated it was the rarest marble to ever enter their auction house.

After the marble sold, many collectors noticed similar looking marbles floating around the market. However, these marbles were cheaper quality galaxy pattern marbles manufactured by Vacor De Mexico. They lacked the genuine mica flakes and the smooth texture of a more expensive marble – but a few collectors briefly felt rich anyway!

2. End of Days Onionskin Marble – $14,950

This marble was sold during a 2004 Morphy’s Auction. It measures 2 and 1 1/32” in diameter. Its pattern is called the end of Days” since it resembles blotches of ominous clouds. Although red and blue are common colors for this pattern, the marble sold for a high price due to its age and lack of a twisting pattern.

1. Opaque Lutz Marble – $25,000

This unique vintage marble was estimated to fetch $6,000 at auction, and it ended up selling for triple that amount after a bidding war. Since pink is a rare marble color, many collectors had their eye on the marble before the start of the auction. The particular pattern on the marble, the Lutz, is also a sought after pattern.

This particular marble is made by the Christensen Agate company. Marbles made Christensen Agate company are some of the most sought-after and most expensive marbles around. Founded in 1925, the now-defunct company Ohio based company’s boxed marble sets were all the rage with young marble players. Today, it remains a hit with marble collectors who associate its products with the golden age of marbles.

The post Top 10 Most Expensive Marbles in 2026 appeared first on Gazette Review.

HomeDecoratorsHome Decorators Collection was a furniture retailer known for their unique approach to home decoration. The company was a favorite of many home decorators – even before internet shopping was completely mainstream. Before the upsurge in popularity of internet shopping, many people got inspiration from catalogs in the mail. And while Home Decorators Collection not only had regular catalogs jam-packed with choices, they had a great website as well.

Once lauded nationwide, the decor company seemingly faded into obscurity shortly after being acquired by Home Depot in 2006. Additionally, the reviews left for the company aren’t as favorable as they used to be. This was no small company – Home Decorators Collection had 3.3 million people on their mailing list at their peak, so what exactly changed?

Why did Home Decorators Collection’s Quality Go Downhill?

Prior to the acquisition, Home Decorators collection had a cult following among homeowners nationwide. However, it seemed that all the things customers lauded about the company changed shortly after Home Depot’s acquisition. The signature quality and style of the beloved brand changed, presumably from Home Depot’s choice to switch up manufacturing processes. Now, the items looked and felt generic and low-quality.

Many review sites for Home Decorators Catalog are now saturated with negative reviews lamenting the downfall of the company. Previous loyal customers have noted that wait times are longer, the site is less intuitive, and current products are just not as good as they used to be. While there are some exceptions, the outlook is grim overall.

One of the other things that made Home Decorators Catalog stand out was its great website. Customers could easily navigate to whatever they wanted with minimal effort. Additionally, there were showroom photos provided for almost every item, which gave customers a solidified idea of how much space their chosen furniture item took up. After the merge, all of the items were moved into Home Depot’s online catalog, in a much less organized fashion.

Given that over a decade has passed since the merge, it’s unlikely that former Home Decorators catalog customers will rise up and protest – reviews online indicate they have already moved on. Many customers have happy memories of the company that once served them and their families, and some still hold on hope for the future too.

What Happened to the Home Decorators Collection Catalog – 2026 Updates

When the world-renowned Home Depot acquired the Home Decorators Collection Catalog, it marked a significant turn in the home decor industry. This acquisition meant that one of the largest home improvement retailers was now also a leading player in the home decor market.

The transition brought about not just a change in ownership, but also several strategic modifications that had a significant impact on the Home Decorators Collection Catalog.

Prior to the acquisition, the Home Decorators Collection Catalog was known for its comprehensive range of stylish and high-quality furniture and accessories, providing customers with an extensive selection of home decor items.

Upon its acquisition by Home Depot, the catalog underwent a transformation to align with the broader vision and strategy of its new parent company. One of the most noticeable changes was the digitization of the catalog.

In an era where online shopping has become increasingly prevalent, Home Depot made a strategic decision to phase out the printed version of the Home Decorators Collection Catalog. The entire collection was moved online, making it more accessible to a wider audience. This move was in sync with Home Depot’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its online presence and deliver a seamless shopping experience to its customers.

In addition to going digital, the product range of the Home Decorators Collection Catalog also saw significant enhancements. Home Depot brought in more variety and expanded the product lines to include everything from furniture and lighting to rugs and bath linens. The aim was to offer customers a one-stop shop for all their home decor needs.

The post What Happened to the Home Decorators Collection Catalog? – 2026 Update appeared first on Gazette Review.

As of 2026, he has an estimated net worth of $107 billion, making him the seventh richest person in the world.

Born in Moscow, he and his family immigrated to the United States when he was six years old. After earning a bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland, he received an M.S. in computer science from Stanford University in 1995. Ultimately, it was there that he met Page during an orientation for new students, with whom he eventually founded Google. As it is, the web search engine became so popular at Stanford that they halted their PhD studies to start it up.

Not only are they business partners, but they’re also lifelong friends who jointly own a customized Dornier/Dassault Alpha Jet/Boeing 767. Allegedly, it costs them $1.3 million a year in housing fees. In 2008, Brin also invested $4.5 million in the Virginia-based space tourism company Space Adventures.

6. Larry Page – $111 Billion

In 2008, he also helped launch Singularity University, a Santa Clara-based company that offers business consultancy services and executive educational programs, as a corporate founder. To this day, he still funds scholarships at the university.

He and his family have also established the Carl Victor Page Memorial Fund, which holds billions of dollars in assets.
Often referred to as the “Oracle of Omaha”, he has been the chairman of Berkshire Hathaway since 1970. Despite his immense wealth, he is known for his frugality. He’s also a philanthropist and has pledged to donate 99% of his fortune to different causes via the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2010, he also founded The Giving Pledge, a campaign that encourages billionaires to give away the majority of their wealth to philanthropic causes, with Bill Gates. To date, the pledges are estimated to be over $600 billion.

Born and raised in Seattle, he and Allen founded Microsoft in 1975. While he initially led the company as CEO and chairman, he stepped down in 2000, though he remained chairman of the board of directors. Later in 2008, he transitioned to a part-time role, which allows him to work full-time at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the world’s largest private charity that he established with his then-wife in 2000.

More recently in 2020, he left his board position at Microsoft to focus on his philanthropic work on global health, climate change, and education.

Since 1987, Gates has been included in Forbes’ list of wealthiest people in the world. For many years from 1995 to 2017, he also held the title of the richest person in the world. He was later surpassed by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

It wasn’t until the late 80s that he decided to create a group of luxury brands. Working with the president of Louis Vuitton, Henry Racamier, and the CEO of Moet Hennessy Alain Chevalier, he formed LVMH Moet Hennessy – Louis Vuitton SE in 1987. By 1999, he had become the richest person in the fashion industry.

He’s also known for having an exquisite art collection, which includes works by Andy Warhol, Yves Klein, Picasso, and Henry Moore. From 1999 to 2003, he also owned the British art auction house Phillips de Pury & Company.

2. Jeff Bezos – $158 Billion

Originally from Albuquerque, he attended Princeton University, from which he obtained a bachelor in computer science and electrical engineering in 1986. After working on Wall Street for a few years, he founded Amazon in late 1994. Initially an online book store, it quickly expanded to include other eco-commerce products and services including cloud computing, and video and audio streaming. Today, it’s the largest online sales company in the world and the largest internet company by revenue. In 2021, they had a total net income of $33.3 billion.

Aside from Amazon, he also founded the aerospace manufacturer Blue Origin in 2000. Since then, their New Shepard vehicle has successfully reached space and returned to Earth. In 2013, he also purchased The Washington Post for $250 million. That’s not all, he also has many other investments including the biotech company Alto Labs, which he co-founded with Yuri Milner in 2021.

Elon Musk is the founder and CEO of Tesla, Inc, an automotive company that’s known for their electric vehicles. In 2021, they sold more than 936,000 vehicles worldwide, which is an 87 percent increase from 2020. That same year, the company’s market capitalization reached $1 trillion; they are the sixth company to have achieved such a feat in the United States.

Aside from Tesla, he is also the founder of SpaceX, a space transport services company and aerospace manufacturer that’s based in California. They currently manufacture several vehicles including the Falcon Heavy, Dragon spacecraft, Starship, and Falcon 9.

In 2006, he also helped create the solar energy company SolarCity, which has since been acquired and renamed Tesla Energy. That’s not all, he also co-founded the non-profit AI research company OpenAI in 2015 and the neurotechnology startup Neuralink in 2016, the latter of which costed him $100 million in investments. In 2017, he also founded the Boring Company to construct underground tunnels for high-occupancy vehicles. While two subsequent projects have been canceled in LA and Chicago, construction has been approved for a tunnel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

And more recently in 2022, he purchased Twitter for $44 billion, a decision that has sparked much controversy.

The post The Top 10 Richest People in the World In 2026 appeared first on Gazette Review.

Digital cryptocurrency Bitcoin was extremely underground when it was launched in 2008. The idea of a purely digital currency not based on fiat was thought of before, but Bitcoin was the first mainstream execution of that concept. Bitcoin became a worldwide sensation when its value hit $1000 in 2013. Early adopters and investors in the currency became Bitcoin millionaires as a result. Now with the value north of $15,000 (and rapidly moving) they are even richer as a result.

10. Vitalik Buterin

Vitalik Buterin is one of the youngest cryptocurrency investors in the world. Not only is he the co-founder of Bitcoin Magazine, but he’s also an accomplished developer and writer in the Bitcoin community.

In 2013, he co-created Ethereum, an open-source global software platform that’s powered by blockchain technology. As of 2026, it contains holdings worth approximately $1.5 billion.

9. Yifu Guo

In order for Bitcoin transactions to be processed and added to the transaction record (known the blockchain), they must be solved with computing power. Since Bitcoin is peer-to-peer, users are responsible for mining. They are rewarded with Bitcoins for mining. Users previous used their GPU’s computing power to add to the blockchain, until NYU student Yifu Guo engineered the first purpose built Bitcoin miner.

Yifu Guo founded Avalon in 2012. The company’s miners became so popular they were sold out as soon as they were produced. Miners retailing for several hundred dollars were selling for many times more. Guo left the Avalon project after a year. Several other companies began selling bitcoin miners after Avalon, but Guo was the first to become a Bitcoin millionaire selling such miners.

8. Winklevoss Twins

Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss rose to prominence after their legal battle with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. The pair have launched numerous successful business ventures, and their investments in Bitcoin alone have earned them 11 million. The twin’s combined net worth is 400 million.

The Winklevoss twins have funded several Bitcoin related ventures. They invested 1.5 million in fellow Bitcoin entrepreneur Charlie Shrem’s company BitInstant in 2013. In 2014, they created the Winkdex, a financial index that tracks the average price of Bitcoin. The Winklevoss twins even created their own Bitcoin exchange, Gemini in 2015.

7. Tony Gallippi

Entrepreneur Tony Gallippi was one of the first people to found a Bitcoin payment processor. The company, Bitpay, is one of the most popular of its kind. It processes of one million dollars worth of payments every day. It was also one of the first companies to have agreements with major retailers.

In 2014, Bitpay employed over 80 people. Gallippi stated he aimed to have over one million merchants enrolled by 2016. Prolific investors and business tycoons such as Richard Branson,Jerry Yang, and Li Ka-Shing have invested in Bitcoin.

6. Jered Kenna

Former United States Marine Jered Kenna got his start when Bitcoins were only 20 cents per coin. Intrigued, he invested a large amount of money in the currency, which paid off after several years. His first Investment venture provided him with enough funds to launch several business ventures. His first company was Tradehill, a Bitcoin dark (anonymous) mining pool – Kenna was the first to pioneer dark mining pools.

Kenna now runs a craft brewery in Colombia (the brewery accepts Bitcoins of course). He has also opened 20mission in San Francisco, a collaborative workspace for startups and entrepreneurs.

5. Dave Carlson

With enough hardware, Bitcoin mining can be an extremely profitable venture. Dave Carlson is likely the first Bitcoin millionaire to have mined their way to riches. After founding company MegaBigPower from his basement, he began to mine on an industrial scale. Carlson reported that he made over 8 million per month in 2016 from his 2,000 square foot warehouse.

4. Charlie Shrem – $450 Million

Charlie Shrem is possibly the most influential Bitcoin millionaire. Charlie Shrem bought a large quantity of Bitcoin when it was trading cheaply. At only 22 years old, he founded BitInstant with some of the funds. The company was extremely successful at first. But in December 2014, Shrem was accused and found guilty of laundering money to infamous deep web black market The Silk Road. Shrem states he did not knowingly handle any money for illicit purposes.

After his release from prison in 2016, Shrem got right back to business and launched Intellisys Capital. The firm sells investment portfolios in blockchain companies. Charlie Shrem is close friends with fellow bitcoin innovator and investor Roger Ver.

3. Roger Ver – $520 Million

Some people love Bitcoin so much they can’t help but spread the joy. Bitcoin millionaire Roger Ver has generously shared his wealth to spread the word of Bitcoin. For his outspoken advocacy and generosity, Roger Ver was given the moniker “Bitcoin Jesus”. Roger Ver’s passion for Bitcoin stems from his desire for it to rival fiat currencies. His first investment was in his friend Charlie Shrem’s company BitInstant.

Roger Ver is the first Bitcoin startup investor. Although Ver was already a successful entrepreneur before getting into Bitcoin, doing so greatly multiplied his riches. He has also donated millions to charity.

2. Ross Ulbricht / The FBI – $1 Billion

Bitcoin has undeniable potential to change the world. However, Bitcoin also has a sinister side. Its anonymous nature makes transactions nearly impossible track. Numerous black markets have appeared on the deep web selling drugs, contraband, and illegal services. The first of these markets was the Silk Road, created by Dread Pirate Roberts. Even before bitcoin was worth $1000, Dread Pirate Roberts was a Bitcoin millionaire several times over.

In September 2013, the FBI tracked Dread Pirate Roberts down. Their investigation led to American Ross Ulbricht, who was sentenced to life in prison for money laundering, hacking, and conspiracy to traffic narcotics. The FBI shut down The Silk Road, and seized over 144,000 Bitcoins then being held as escrow. As a result, the largest Bitcoin wallet in the world now belongs to the FBI.

1. Satoshi Nakamoto – $13 billion

Becoming a Bitcoin millionaire is possible, but what does it take to become a bitcoin billionaire? Doing so would be incredibly difficult unless one was involved from the beginning – or if they created the currency themselves.

The name Satoshi Nakamoto is likely not the real name of Bitcoin’s creator, simply a pseudonym. Numerous attempts have been made to uncover the enigmatic creator of Bitcoin’s true identity, to no avail. Few records of Nakamoto exist other than e-mail correspondence records between him and Bitcoin developers. What is known about him however, is that he currently holds 1.1 million Bitcoins – worth over 1.1 billion today.

The post Top 10 Richest Bitcoin Investors – 2026 Bitcoin Millionaires List appeared first on Gazette Review.

The electronic music scene has been around for decades, but it hadn’t achieved mainstream prominence until the late 1990s. Since then, many DJs have made a name for themselves by creating and playing electronic music for the masses. Not only have they made music during the primetime of electronic music, but they’ve made themselves millionaires too.

The Top 10 Richest DJs In 2026

Without further ado, let’s take a look at some of these DJs.

How much money makes for a good raise? Most people commit to long-term careers under the assumption receive raises for their consistent hard work. For some people, even a small raise makes a big difference. Yet there are still many other people who find the average raise unsatisfactory.

The feeling one’s work is worth more than their current rate is a common feeling among the working class in the United States. In fact, only 55% of workers in the USA believe they are paid enough. Some may be right – factors such as inflation and the increasing cost of living sometimes make a raise almost necessary.

How Much is the Average Yearly Pay Increase?

Most companies give their employees a three to five percent wage increase every year. This might not seem like much but it can quickly add up over time, giving you a much higher income than when you first started.

Keep in mind, however, that that’s just an average. Some employers may offer an even greater increase if you’re valuable to the company and they’re able to compensate you more.

Depending on where you work, you might even get non-cash benefits or perks. For example, some companies offer transportation reimbursement and travel benefits for their employees. There may also be career development programs available, which can help increase your earning potential in the future.

What do employers look at when deciding whether or not to give someone a raise? A lot of things. For starters, they’ll look at your job performance. If you perform your job well or exceed expectations, they may decide to increase your wage. The industry that you’re working in matters as well. For instance, companies in fast-growing industries are more likely to offer salary increases.

When to Ask For a Raise

Timing is super important when it comes to asking for a raise. If anything, it can significantly impact the results. For example, if you recently started working at a company, t’s best to wait at least six months before asking for a raise.

It’s also a good idea to ask when your company experiences success (e.g. the signing of a major deal or project). You can also ask after completing an important project- one that shows your contributions to the company.

Getting a raise is not always straightforward. Although some people may simply approach their boss, every company may have different guidelines or suggested etiquette.

Raises may be sensitive matters within a company. Be sure to consider what situation your company is in. If your company is facing hard times, wait until it fares better before requesting a raise. Conversely, don’t act entitled to a raise if your company suddenly starts doing well.

Here are some tips on getting a raise:

Improve your performance
Is your performance lackluster, or do you simply think it can be better? Employers typically monitor the productive output of their employees, and award raises to the most productive. Being a standout worker in your organization can easily pay off.If you want to be sure you’re worth a raise, ask your boss or another higher-up what qualities they want in an ideal employee. Pay attention to the hardest workers in your company and emulate them.

Become even more qualified
Every career in the world usually advances or changes in some way with every passing year. It always pays off to gain new knowledge and insight into how to work better. Although many companies do give employees access to regular training programs, taking the initiative to learn more yourself can win you big points.

Get another job
Not all companies pay employees equally. You may be unfortunate enough to have landed at a workplace that pinches pennies everywhere, including with employee’s salaries. In this, you can only do so much before you simply turn in your resignation. If your employer refuses to budge on the subject, it may be a good idea to start looking for a more considerate company. In previous years, one could expect 10 to 20 percent more annually after switching jobs. Things are different now. However, if you are confident enough in your ability, making the switch should be easy. In fact, there are some companies who seek out their competitor’s highest performers, luring them in with more lucrative gigs.
