Back again with another product from Dodocool, they are sending me a fair number of items these days. I love getting audio gear for these reviews, means I get to listen to music for a few hours and call it doing work. These are a bit new for me, wireless ear buds. I am a headphone kinda guy, switched to a nice big set and found the volume and audio quality to be leagues ahead of buds, so I was excited to go back to the tech after so long. I am glad to say that these are pretty good. Not the top of the bass sound you get in a pair of dedicated phones, but they back a hell of a punch for ear buds.
Dodocool Wireless Stereo Sports In-Ear Headphone Design and Build Quality
I’m not sure how to judge these. I don’t know if there is a way to make ear buds look nice. They are essentially noisey ear whelks, especially when they are jellied. But what we have here is a pair of nice enough ear buds. Black is always a good color to go with, slimming, make’s your ear lobs look smaller. There is not cable to keep them together though, so it might be a good idea to figure out a more permanent attachment option yourself when you buy it. Maybe with a hair tie? Regardless, they look fine.
The feature set is a little less light than other ear buds. Normally I skip this bit and go straight to describing the use and sound quality, but here we have a few things to get to . the first is the fact that they are wireless. Easy to set up, there are three buttons on each bud and you sync by pressing and holding while searching for the Bluetooth. Unlike a normal set of wireless headphones each ear bud can be synced to to two different sources. I cannot imagine much use for this, but I find it very amusing.
So, the audio quality is fine. The volume goes right the way up, and it satisfies me. I like music loud, a hold over from my Punk Rock youth. In that I can barely hear now and have to keep yelling “What?” at people. But yeah, standard stereo. Nothing compares to that dual speaker set I tried out a few months back, but these match any set of headphones I have checked out, bar one or two super expensive ones. The key thing to remember here is that you are gaining access to a unique selling point, at a very low price.
The build quality is great though. i might not like how the buds look, but I dare you to try and break them. They can take a beating, and the materials all feel to be of high quality. The feature set is larger than most other headphones, and by that I mean it has a feature set, and the audio quality is great. Nothing to scream and shout about, but maybe something to sing about. Quietly. To oneself.
Dodocool Wireless Stereo Sports In-Ear Headphone Pricing and Warranty
And the price, the place where I put most of the weight. The Dodocool Wireless Stereo Ear Buds are cheap. How cheap? $33.99. They are on offer right now, but that looks set to last for a while, so I am sticking with that. The price is amazing for what are essentially Apples Air Pods. Audio quality is likely to be slightly below them, but to the degree that only a music major would notice. Overall impressive.
Now the warranty. Dodocool do have a warranty that comes with all of their products as standard, it is a 12 month limited warranty, and only overs factory faults. But that’s fine, as as an Amazon FBA you gain access to tall those sweet Amazon customer protection policies. So if you find yourself not happy with your product then a little pressure is all it takes to get satisfaction from Amazon. At least, that’s how it’s always worked for me.
Great price, and a middling warranty buoyed up by their Amazon FBA status.
Dodocool Wireless Stereo Sports In-Ear Headphone Conclusion
A nice little product. The price is far lower than it should be if I am honest. Considering what Apple are charging for the same tech. It looks fine, nothing special, but then neither are airpods, and the feature set is impressive. The price is great and the warranty is excellent when taken as a whole.
Hard not to like this one, well worth the price.
