I think I understand what happened perfectly clear. He got an offer from Lorie and he was only right to keep that offer in mind and listen to other offers if available, but Daymond specifically won’t let that happen. Daymond would badger him asking him to make decision there and then when he hadn’t heard from the remaining sharks. Now if Lorie gave him such a valuation, you think he’s stupid for wanting to hear the valuation of the others? He might not have understood business(I’m not saying he didn’t) but he did have a great product and the sharks being “sharks” after all, would rather discredit him and make him look a fool if they can’t key into the product’s success. It’s either I have it or no one can.

I don’t think you actaully understood what happened. He came in with a bad strategy thinking he would get a bidding war. Once the offer jumped he tried to bump the valuation up to $15 million. He doesn’t understand how business works so he had to make a call and learn right there how the value and credit line worked. His best option was the 900K for 25%. As long as you own 51% the company is all yours. If he took the deal the company would probably be worth $50 million +. Because the deal fell though he had no money or ability to fulfill orders. Would you rather lose a bit more equity then have no way of growing your business at all. Lorie actaully gave him a higher valuation then what he was looking for in the first place. The dude couldn’t do the math in his head first and jumped at the offer.
