Gina Cotroneo is an inspirational woman who, after experiencing a series of traumatizing events, aspired to create a company that would help aid in the mental and emotional recovery of abuse victims. Before the incident that shook up her entire life, Gina was a 30 year old woman who on her way to becoming married and worked successfully as an art director for one of Dallas’ advertising agency. She was an optimistic woman who kept her head held high and maintained a sunny disposition. That was, until June 19, 1997. Cotroneo’s world was spun completely upside down when she was attacked by 31 year old Gary Faison. He broke into her apartment and sexually abused her, leaving both physical and emotional scars in his wake. Before Gina’s attack there had been a handful of other reported abuse cases from that area, but it was not until case that the police were able to catch the serial offender.

During Faison’s trial, Cotroneo entered therapy and testified against her attacker. During this time, her budding relationship quickly withered and the wedding bells were no longer in her sights. In addition to the break up, Gina also lost her job and began to struggle with her religious beliefs and faith in God.

As a way to help her healing process, she began to speak openly about her rape and encouraged other women to speak out as well. Gina spoke out on numerous talk shows and her story was published in a few magazines as well. It was during this extremely difficult journey in her life that she came up with the concept for Soul’s Calling Inc.

Five years after her attack, Gina was finally capable of seeing how her horrible experience actually changed her in a way that made her a stronger person. Through the help of friends, therapy, and her speaking out, she came up with the idea to create a line of Soul’s Calling inspirational products. Her goal was to create a line of items that had motivational and inspirational phrases inscribed on them to help comfort people who were struggling with any sort of hardships that they faced during their lifetime.

Being someone who could relate to this kind of emotional damage, Cotroneo hoped that her company would get her “plan for world happiness” a little further along in its journey. She was approached by various retailers who wanted to feature her products in their stores, but she found that manufacturing a reasonably priced product was rather difficult.

Being a small business, Gina was only capable of buy a small amount of each product that she needed at a time which caused her product cost to spike higher than anticipated. So, in order to get the money to efficiently run her new business, she took to the reality show Shark Tank.

Soul’s Calling On Shark Tank

Her portion of the episode begins with her telling the audience about her warming mission to keep people at their happiest, which then stands in stark contrast to the tensely professional atmosphere maintained by the sharks. Gina introduces herself and states her starting price at $150k for a 25% equity of her company.

Then she goes on to explain that her products are gifts and accessories that contain both positive messages and energy within them. The sharks appear to be wary of her pitch but she continues on with her speech and attempts to make her idea for spreading positivity seem marketable. Inspirella is the first product she introduces, which is a brightly colored umbrella that has some cheery phrase printed onto it.

Each of the sharks begin smiling as she goes around and gives them each a bracelet that is supposed to promote the idea that everyone is connected. Finally, she ends her presentation with flip flops that leave words in the sand.

Kevin O’Leary is the first shark to speak up to ask her about what her sales look like. For the past two years she made $11k and $18k and those low numbers visibly startle the sharks. Though they are impressed with her knowledge on numbers, they are just so low that they are having a hard time biting on her idea.

Barbara Corcoran asks how much of Cotroneo’s own money was invested into Soul’s Calling, which she finds out to be close to $100k. O’Leary questions why it is so important to her that the business keeps going when it has created so much loss for her. With so much money going out of her pocket it would seem like a good idea to discontinue the business, but Cotroneo comments that this business is “a part of her mission on the planet”.

Robert Herjavec finally jumps in to see whether Gina sees Soul’s Calling Inc. as an actual business or a personal business and this is where she beings floundering. Though she has absolute faith in her company and believes that happiness is a profitable business, it is clear that the sharks do not exactly see the same image that she is.

They begin to speak numbers and how a $150k buy-in for a 25% stake in her company would value her company at about $600k and O’Leary states that “money has no soul” and that he “never lets emotion get in the way of investing”.

Overall, her business was not deemed worthy of the price she was asking for. In fact, O’Leary harshly stated that Soul’s Calling Inc. was worth $0. Following his lead, each of the other sharks pulls out and does not invest in her company.

Soul’s Calling After Shark Tank – 2026 Update

When Soul’s Calling appeared on Shark Tank, they were hoping to secure investment for their inspiring and meaningful jewelry line. Their mission was not just to sell beautiful accessories, but also to empower women and encourage them to follow their life’s passion. So what exactly happened to Soul’s Calling after Shark Tank?

Immediately after the show aired, the company experienced a significant boost in sales and website traffic. Appearing on Shark Tank helped them reach a wider audience, allowing more people to connect with the brand’s mission and vision.

However, gaining investment from the ‘sharks’ wasn’t as straightforward. Despite the initial interest from several sharks, they ultimately did not receive an investment offer. This might have been a setback for some, but not for Soul’s Calling.

Instead of dwelling on the missed investment opportunity, Soul’s Calling leveraged the exposure they received from the show to further propel their business. They expanded their product line, adding more unique pieces that continued to resonate with their target market.

They also focused on forging partnerships with other like-minded businesses and non-profit organizations. One such partnership was with a non-profit that works to empower women in developing countries by providing them with job opportunities.

Not only that but they also remained true to their mission of inspiring and empowering women. They launched a series of workshops and coaching sessions aimed at helping women discover their true passion and purpose in life. These sessions became popular and were instrumental in further establishing the brand’s image.

In the end, the company continued to operate until 2012, when Cotroneo liquidated the company to move on to other projects. As of 2026, she works as a freelance creative director and marketeer in the Dallas, Texas area.

The post Soul’s Calling 2026 Update – See What Happened After Shark Tank appeared first on Gazette Review.

Drake Bell was one of Nickelodeon’s most famous stars in the past decade. Starting from commercials to small roles in television shows, Bell worked his way up until he had his own series, lead movie roles, and a trio of successful albums. Two accidents almost stopped Bell’s career on its tracks, plus a long-term feud got him entangled with one of the rising names on the industry, but he proved to be resilient.

Through his long and challenging journey to success, here’s what happened to Drake Bell:

How Drake Bell Got Started

Jared Drake Bell was born in Santa Ana, Orange County, California on June 27, 1986 to entrepreneur Joe Bell and Women’s Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) Hall of Famer Robin Dodson. He was the youngest of the four siblings composed of three brothers and one sister. During these early years Drake dreamed of both acting and singing as future career choices.

At the tender age of five, and with encouragement from his father, Bell starred in his first acting role for a Whirlpool Appliances televised commercial where he ate a Popsicle while sitting beneath a tree. Afterwards he had his first appearance on a television show as Little Pete in the “Swing Time” episode of Home Improvement on May 04, 1994.

Bell landed his first movie role as the ten-year-old David in the 1995 drama film The Neon Bible.
In the same year he starred in his own film debut as Kenny Smith in Drifting School. The following year he had a brief cameo in Jerry Maguire as Jesse Remo, the boy who gave the finger to Tom Cruise.

He starred in more episodic roles in the subsequent years such as in Men Behaving Badly (1996), The Pretender (1997), The Drew Carey Show (1997), and Seinfeld (1998). He also wrote his first song while he was eight years old.

1999 was the year where his career soared to greater heights. He starred as the lead role in the direct-to-video fantasy film Dragonworld: The Legend Continues. His performance as Cage Redding in the television film The Jack Bull earned him a nomination for the Young Artist Award in 2000. It was also in 1999 where Bell became a regular on Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy television series The Amanda Show along with his real-life best friend Josh Peck. The pairing of handsome and tall Bell, and the shorter yet bouncy Peck gathered an immense fanbase.

In 2001 Bell co-starred with The Who vocalist Roger Daltrey in television film Chasing Destiny. During filming he had guitar lessons from Daltrey, and this tutelage helped Bell in his musical pursuits. He stopped landing roles in movies and focused on television series while practicing music and songwriting on the side. On one The Amanda Show episode in 2002, Bell performed his own song “Lost A Lover” for the first time in television and received tremendous applause from the audience. The next year saw the launching of Bell’s own band, Drake 24/7 and appeared on Nickelodeon’s comedy show All That. Bell’s impressive talents in music helped attract numerous fans, mostly composed of teenage girls.

After The Amanda Show was cancelled in 2002, Bell and Peck were reunited in their own comedy show Drake and Josh in 2004. Bell played Drake Parker, an exaggerated version of himself who also performed his own songs on-screen. The show’s theme song, “Found A Way” was also penned by Bell (later included in his debut album and in the Drake and Josh soundtrack). Drake and Josh became a massive hit with its teenage audience, and Bell’s role as romantic interest in the music video of the 2004 Fefe Dobson song “Don’t Go” assured his rise to being a heartthrob.

Bell co-starred with Miranda Cosgrove, a fellow Drake and Josh star, in the 2005 remake of the 1968 film Yours, Mine & Ours. In the same movie Bell performed with Christian rock band Hawk Nelson in their featured song “Bring ‘Em Out”. He also made an appearance as himself in the Zoey 101 episode “Spring Fling” aired on March 13, 2005.

Five months later, Bell independently released his debut album entitled Telegraph and was met with positive reviews. Several of the songs in the album were written by Bell while he was 14 and 15 years of age, and all of the tracks were co-written with Michael Thomas “Backhouse Mike” Corcoran. The 9th track, “Down We Fall” was played in a Drake and Josh episode, and the 11th track “Highway to Nowhere” was performed in one Zoey 101 episode as well.

2005 ended disastrously for Bell as he was involved in a head-on collision on December 29. His ‘66 Mustang was struck by a Mercedes, and he was rushed to the hospital with a broken jaw, fractured neck, missing teeth, and a multitude of lacerations on his face that required almost 70 stitches. Josh Peck visited his best friend constantly until Bell was released. The injuries weren’t life-threatening but he had to undergo plastic surgery and physical therapy to facilitate his recovery.

2006 opened with the release of Drake and Josh Go Hollywood which was ranked as the highest rated television movie aired on Nickelodeon and on all cable during its first week. The first single entitled “I Know” was released on October 2006 for his upcoming second album, It’s Only Time.

In November, Bell signed up with Universal Motown Records for the release of his second album in December. The songs in It’s Only Time were also co-written with Backhouse Mike and other co-writers, and was more positive compared to the dark tones of Telegraph. The album’s upbeat nature was attributed to Bell’s recovery after the grievous accident last year. Positive reviews take note of the album being clearly influenced by The Beatles that favor vintage tunes more than its modern auditory counterparts. With almost 23,000 sold on the first week, It’s Only Time landed on the number 81 spot of the Billboard 200 chart, and on number 21 of the Billboard Rock Charts. The album also reached number 4 in Mexico’s Albums Top 100.

The 6th track “Makes Me Happy” proved to be a hit as it sat on the number 3 spot of Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, number 67 on Billboard Pop 100, and number 45 on Billboard Digital Songs chart.

Drake and Josh aired “Really Big Shrimp”, the official series finale, on August 03, 2007, but the show ended on September 16, 2007 after airing two more episodes. Nickelodeon failed to air the episodes in proper production order, hence the episode “Dance Contest” was the last one to be aired prior to the series’ end. “Really Big Shrimp” gathered viewers that count up to 7.8 million, making the 1-hour long episode as Nickelodeon’s most watched television event before being broken by iCarly: iGo to Japan in 2008. His performance in Drake and Josh earned him 10 Kids Choice Awards (7 overseas and 3 in America).

Bell starred in the spoof film Superhero Movie on March 28, 2008 and recorded the film’s theme song in the next month with co-star Sara Paxton. The film also awarded Bell with the Surfboard Award in the 2008 Teen Choice Awards. He also provided voices to two animated films namely Unstable Fables: Tortoise vs. Hare and The Nutty Professor on September 09, 2008 and November 25, 2008 respectively. In December 2008, Universal Motown released Drake Bell In Concert, a video album packed with performances during Bell’s Mexican tour last October. It failed to land in any U.S. charts but was successful in the Mexican charts at number 81.

Also in December 2008, Nickelodeon released Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh and was hailed as the third television movie with the most viewers, ranking behind two Disney Channel television movies.

In 2009 Bell contributed to the non-profit organization Thirst Project which aims to provide potable water in needed areas. His work with the project earned him a Pioneering Spirit Award in 2010, regarded as the highest honor the project can bestow to others. Bell was also recruited to be the campaign’s ‘face’ by its founder Seth Maxwell.

Bell appeared as Drake Parker in the “iBloop” episode of Nickelodeon’s sitcom iCarly in 2010, as himself in the documentary 7 Secrets with Miranda Cosgrove and in the short film I Owe My Life To Corbin Bleu. In 2011 he starred as Timmy Turner in A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner!, the live-action adaptation of Nickelodeon’s animated show The Fairly Oddparents, and its two future sequels.

The Downfall of Drake Bell – Where He Went

His first extended play (EP) was released on June 28, 2011 entitled A Reminder. It only contained four songs but still received acclaim. John Fields, one of the EP’s producers, filed a lawsuit in the same year wherein he claimed that Bell agreed to pay for all nine songs that he produced. However, Bell only paid for five and still owed the producer the remaining four songs. Bell’s failure to respond to the lawsuit ended with the judge issuing default judgment.

He provided voice-over for Spider-Man in numerous animated series and video games that featured the web slinger.

On July 03, 2012, a hacker managed to access Bell’s Twitter account and posted malicious tweets aimed at Katy Perry. Bell got hold of his account, deleted the tweets, and posted two new tweets that bash Justin Bieber. His rude comments earned him the ire of Bieber fans (also called Beliebers) and even received death threats. Bieber responded to Bell’s tweets by saying that he was once a fan of Drake and Josh. Bell’s fans, named Drakesters, rallied and the two groups of fans waged war in Twitter. The Beliebers even posted hateful tweets aimed at Thirst Project.

Bell continued to make fun of Bieber, targeting the young singer’s height, wardrobe, and DUI arrest that lasted up to 2014.

During the early months of 2014 Bell filed for bankruptcy and had his $2 million Los Feliz house, bought last 2007, foreclosed.

On April 22, 2014 Bell released his third album Ready, Steady, Go!. Like its predecessors the album was given positive reviews and found spots on the Billboard 200 (#182), Billboard Top Rock Albums (#50), and Billboard Top Independent Albums (#32). To support the album, Bell toured different high schools throughout America which started September 16 until October 22, 2014. Bell also described this album as a dream come true due to his collaboration with Brian Setzer, his guitar idol.

The feud with Bieber was stoked after the latter decided to visit the album’s release party, then tweeting (and then deleting) a photo showing that his sprinter van had more fans than Bell.

Bell responded by tweeting that he was sorry for not letting Bieber into the party, and at the same time he actively campaigned for Bieber’s deportation to Canada after the latter was arrested for drag racing in Florida. The petition gathered 300,000 signatures and was sent to the White House, but the administration did not respond favorably.

During the Capital Twitter Awards in 2014, the Twitter spar earned Bell with a nomination for the BiggestTwitter Feud.

At the start of the year 2015, Bell tweeted a picture of his wrist with a surgical scar accompanied by a caption that says he might not be able to play the guitar again. The injury stemmed in a birthday party at his brother’s house back in November where Bell dove into a shallow pool and hit his wrist at the bottom which was made of concrete. Doctors informed him regarding his inability to play the instrument anymore.

Justin Bieber also posted an injury of his own (a broken foot) in January. Bell tweeted well wishes to Bieber, seemingly ending their long-term feud.

What Drake Bell Is Doing Now In 2026 – Recent Updates

In 2020, he voiced Oscar, one of the main characters in the animated comedy film The Big Trip. From there, he made a guest appearance in an episode of Robot Chicken.

Soon afterward, he was arrested on charges relating to “attempting to endanger children.” Allegedly, he had established a relationship with a 15-year-old, who had attended one of his concerts in 2017. Not only did he violate his duty of care during that period but police also found that he had sent “inappropriate messages” on social media to the minor for months leading up to the concert. He was 31 years old at the time.

He pleaded not guilty and was ultimately freed on a $2,500 bond. He was also ordered by officials to provide a DNA sample and to not have any contact with the victim in the case until their pre-trial hearing.

Drake Bell pleaded guilty to both charges during his pre-trial hearing, which took place on June 23, 2021

During the pre-trial hearing, which took place on June 23, 2021, he pleaded guilty to both charges—disseminating harmful matters to minors and attempted endangering of children. The following month, the victim, who was 19 years old at the time, made a public statement accusing Bell of sexually assaulting her when she was a minor. Bell was given two years of probation in addition to 200 hours of community service; he is also forbidden from having any contact with his accuser.

Several months later, he told his own story of the incident on Tiktok, where he claimed he didn’t know the girl’s real age during their conversations and that he had tried to sever all ties with her once he had learned the truth. He also said that the girl had stalked him at his concerts, which ultimately led to his arrest.

Around that same time, Bell revealed that he has been married since 2018 and that he has a child.

Since then, he has gone back to work. Earlier this year, he lent his voice to the main character in the animated film The Adventures of Bunny Bravo. He was joined by Jack Fisher, Jace Chapman, Garrett Clayton, and Amber Frank.

Well, these cheats, tips, and hacks for 2026 should help you through most of the levels and boost your scores along the way.

12 Cooking Fever Tips and Tricks In 2026

Without further ado, here are some of the best tips and tricks in 2026.

1. Get 5000 Free Coins By Watching Ads

Coins are the main currency in the game. You can use them to buy new restaurants, equipment, and interior upgrades. Not only that, but you’ll also need them to compete in different tournaments and challenges, and for playing at the Casino.

As it is, the easiest way to earn coins is by playing the game and passing the various levels. For example, you’ll get coins by serving customers in restaurants, completing achievements, and participating in cooking fever challenges and tournaments. Remember, though, you won’t get any coins if you lose. You’ll also get a Welcome Back Reward for each day you return to the game (make sure you’re connected to the internet, otherwise you won’t get the coins).

If you find yourself in need of more coins, here’s a tip—you can get 5000 free coins by watching an in-game ad. To do that, click on the “5000 free” icon at the bottom left-hand side of the screen. Tap on it and a new window will come up with an ad. Watch the entire video and you’ll be able to claim the coins afterward.

Note: You may have to install another app on your device for the 5000 coin offer to show up.

2. Try to Level Up As Quickly As You Can

Leveling up is super important in the game. All you need to do is serve customers, complete achievements, and upgrade interior and kitchen items.

Not only will it earn you coins, but it’ll also earn you gems, which you’ll need to buy new restaurants, equipment, and food. That’s not all, you’ll also need them to upgrade your restaurant’s interior and to compete in Cooking Fever tournaments and challenges, and in doing so, you’ll get XP.

At the beginning of the game, you’ll only get two gems. As you level up, however, this number will go up (to a maximum of seven). The number of experience points you get will also increase. For instance, you can get up to 900 XP if you have a sushi restaurant. Keep in mind, however, that you’ll need a certain amount of XP to unlock specific types of restaurants.

If you don’t have enough experience points for a specific restaurant, you can replay some of the previous levels. You’ll also get XP by upgrading items. For instance, you’ll get 700 XP by upgrading the aquarium (you’ll need 22 gems) in a seafood restaurant.

And watch out for tasks and achievements—completing them will give you extra experience points (more on this later).

Tip: Don’t buy a new restaurant just because it’s become available. Focus on increasing your experience level. Remember, just because the restaurant is cheap to buy, doesn’t mean that it’s cheap to upgrade. You don’t want to get yourself in a situation where you can’t complete the levels because you can’t afford to upgrade your items.

3. Prepare All of Your Food Ahead of Time

Try to prepare the food before the customers come into the restaurant. You’ll have a few seconds; make good use of them. That way, you’ll already have some of the items ready, which will cut down on wait times. The last thing that you want is to have to deal with all the orders once all the customers come pouring in.

Remember, you can check the main dishes and ingredients on the kitchen table at the center. And beside it, you’ll find the stove, where you can prepare the items.

The more tabletop slots you have, the faster you’ll be able to prepare orders for customers. So make sure to prioritize that (you’ll be able to unlock more as you progress through the game). If anything, it’s especially important at the beginning as you’ll only have one grill and one frying pan available.

4. Don’t Forget to Upgrade Your Kitchen and Food Equipment

There are several reasons why you want to upgrade your food and kitchen equipment. If anything, it’s super essential if you want to progress through the game.

For starters, you’ll get coins every time you upgrade your ingredients. You can then use them to upgrade or purchase new restaurants, among other things. Not only that, but it’ll also make your equipment run faster—things like drink dispensers. And that’ll help with your popularity. As it goes up, more and more customers will return to your restaurant, often with the same orders. That way, you’ll be able to prepare their food more quickly, which will allow you to earn more coins.

Also, it’ll boost your experience level and as we mentioned earlier, it’s one of the best ways to gain coins and gems.

Tip: We recommend buying two sets of cups, plates, and pans for your restaurant. That’ll give you a better chance of completing each level.

5. Try to Complete All the Achievements

Achievements are objectives that when completed, will give you experience points, coins, and other rewards. Depending on the goal, it may be game wide or specific to a certain restaurant.

To check your available achievements, go to the main menu. Tap on the trophies icon on the bottom corner and a window will pop up. For instance, you can complete the “Winner” achievement by completing 21 levels without losing a customer; that will earn you 50 gems and 300 coins. There’s also a “Wake and Bake” achievement, which involves playing the game ten days in a row; that’ll earn you 100 gems and 500 coins.

To collect your reward, all you have to do is tap on the banner at the top of the screen (the game will notify you once you’ve completed an achievement). A red circle will also appear at the top right-hand side of the trophy icon. Tap on it and you’ll be able to collect your rewards by clicking on the claim button.

6. Complete As Many Tasks As Possible

Tasks are different from achievements in that they’re specific to each restaurant. But like the latter, they’ll reward you with coins and experience points upon completion. The number of tasks you finish will also count toward the overall completion percentage for each restaurant location.

To view your available tasks, click on the task icon on the top left-hand side of the screen. You’ll see a set of goals for each restaurant you have. For example, if you have a Chinese Restaurant, you can get 30 gems and 70 coins by upgrading your teapot. And as you get better restaurants, the rewards will also improve. For instance, you can get earn 300 gems and 400 coins by completing all interior upgrades if you have a Sushi Restaurant.

Once you’ve completed a task, a banner will come up at the top of the screen. A small red circle will also appear next to the task icon, indicating that rewards are available. From there, all you have to do is click on the claim button to get your rewards.

7. Keep the Coins on the Counter

Cooking Fever is different from other cooking games in that you don’t have to make “chains” (performing consecutive tasks) to get rewards. Rather, you want to focus on getting three stars for every level. That’ll help maximize your XP gains and earnings.

Given that, you want to keep the coins on the counter if you’re not ready to prepare the order (you only have a limited time to get the food ready once you’ve taken the coins). That’ll give you more time to prepare everything so that you can serve your customers right away once they’ve sat down at your restaurant (you want to serve them one at a time instead of multiple at once). In some cases, they’ll also order the same food item, which will make things easier.

Keep in mind, however, that this only works if you’re on a non-timed level. If you’re on a timed level, you’ll want to finish everything as quickly as possible.

8. Spend Your Gems Wisely

Gems are needed for a lot of things from upgrading your equipment to purchasing new restaurants. They’re also not as easy to come by as coins, so you want to make sure to spend them wisely.

For example, you might not want to spend them on more than two tabletop slots. As long as you know how to manage your time and have two frying pans, you can still complete the levels while meeting specific objectives.

Some offers also require gems for unlocking. For example, you can unlock the cooking machine by paying 15 gems or coins. The latter is easier to get so it’s best to save your gems for other things. If you spend them all, it can take a while for you to get enough to move to a new restaurant location and there are many of them in the game, including Hell’s Kitchen, Indian Diner, FC Barcelona Sports Bar, and Paradise Island Restaurants (unlocking different restaurants will require both coins and gems) For instance, you’ll need 25000 gold and 50 gems to unlock the Seafood Bistro.

Tip: Restaurants will go on sale every now and then so try not to rush when it comes to unlocking restaurants.

9. Pay Attention When You’re Cooking Your Food

Pay attention when you’re cooking. The last thing that you want to do is overcook your food. While burning the ingredients won’t cost you money per se (unless you throw it away), some levels will not allow it, meaning that you’ll have to redo everything from the beginning.

If the level you’re on doesn’t specifically say that burning is not allowed, you don’t have to throw the burnt food away. You should, however, use a second pan for cooking.

To ensure that the foods are taken off the pan at the correct time, turn on the in-game sounds from the settings menu. You should hear a loud “ding” once the food is ready on the stove—that’s when you want to take it off the pan and serve it.

10. Upgrade Your Restaurant

The more you play, the more upgrade options there will be. For example, you can upgrade your kitchen equipment or add arcade machines; the former will allow you to cook more efficiently while the latter will help attract more customers to the restaurant. Not only that, but you can also add tables and bar stools, both of which will lower wait times.

Just remember that you won’t be able to take the upgrades with you once you reach the next level/restaurant. Given that, you want to be careful about what to upgrade. For example, it’s probably not the best idea to spend all your coins and gems on one particular upgrade when you plan on moving your restaurant soon.

11. Take Advantage of the Casino Mini Game

You can unlock the Casino at level 7 (it won’t cost you any coins or gems). Once it’s open, you can play the mini-game every day for a chance to win coins and gems. Just keep in mind that there’s a limit as to how much you can win (up to 30 gems every day).

Basically, how it works is that you can either bet 500 or 1000 coins (maximum is 5000 and 10000 coins). The possible prizes include 600 coins, 1000 coins, or 15 gems.

We recommend claiming your Daily Bonus and using the coins to play the Casino right away. That way, even if you don’t win, you won’t be out of money. And remember, you can try your luck every 12 hours.

12. Don’t Rush Into Challenges

Cooking Fever challenges are great in that you can get some cool rewards but you don’t want to rush into them. As a general rule, it’s best not to participate in challenges until you’ve fully upgraded all of your interior and kitchen upgrades to level 3. That way, it’ll be easier for you to increase your score.

Other Helpful Tips and Tricks

Special offers will be available every now and then. They’re often one-time only and are only available for a limited time (72 hours) so be sure to take advantage of them while you can. For example, they may reduce the price of a specific upgrade or a restaurant

Be careful with automatic food machines. While they’re great to have, they can only be used for 72 hours and are quite expensive. Given that, it’s best to avoid them unless they’re required for the specific restaurant to pass the level with three stars

We recommend saving up all your coins before buying a new restaurant. That’ll allow you to upgrade all the non-gem Interior and Kitchen items immediately, which will give you a head start

Customers will start to become angry and impatient within 20 seconds

You can use special foods and dishes to increase a customer’s tip amount and patience (a treat icon will appear with their order if it’s available). That’ll help you achieve a 3-star rating. In fact, it’s often cheaper to pass a level by offering treats than it is to upgrade your items. The only thing is that they only become available at level 20

Upgrade the most popular food item (one or two will be ordered more frequently than the rest). You can do this by increasing the price of decreasing its preparation time

You’ll receive a set amount of coins every day from the Daily Income Reward. The more levels you’ve completed and the higher the star level, the more money you’ll receive

As far as kitchen upgrades go, you want to start by upgrading the number of frying pans and tabletop spaces available as that’ll allow you to cook and store more food at once. And remember not to cook too much at once as that can cause you to burn your food

Place the cooked dishes in the same spot on the cooking tabletop each time. That way, you’ll know exactly what dish is where, which will prevent you from getting confused when you’re serving a lot of customers at once

Certain interior upgrades will increase the customers’ patience (the amount of time they’re willing to wait and still leave a tip). Others will increase their tip amount

The Last Lid Before Shark Tank

Kevin and Melissa Kiernan, a married couple from Waldwick, New Jersey, became overnight entrepreneurs when they eventually got fed up with pesky animals raiding their garbage cans through the night. Each morning Melissa would walk out the front door to find trash and debris scattered all over the front yard. One morning she finally spoke with her husband in hopes that they would be able to find some sort of solution to the problem.

Millions of people across the world can relate to this particular issue. Animals, such as raccoons and squirrels, knock the lids off trash cans so they can rummage through a person’s unwanted leftovers and leave one giant mess for house owners to find in the morning. In order to bring an end to this nightly catastrophe, Kevin took a trip to a local fabric store and concocted a brilliant product that did its job exactly how it was supposed to. Instead of covering their garbage cans with a plastic lid, they created a cover made out of waterproof polyester material.

This new cover was designed to fit over almost any size garbage can and effectively keeps pesky, unwanted critters from digging through the trash. After its invention, Kevin and Melissa received a lot of positive feedback on their product. However, being new to the business industry, the couple were definitely going to need some financial help to effectively get their Last Lid company off the ground. That monetary need was exactly what brought them to be featured on an episode of Shark Tank, where they hoped to appeal to one of the Sharks and gain investment.

The Last Lid On Shark Tank

Prior to entering the shark tank, both Kevin and Melissa express their confidence in their product, claiming that they expect it to be stocked in every store. This same confidence and upbeat energy stays with them even when they are standing in front of the intimidating Sharks. Starting with their requested price, the couple asks for a $40k investment for 20% of their product, The Last Lid.

First, they begin their pitch by telling a highly relatable story of how each morning their trash lids suddenly disappear and the cans themselves are knocked over. Delivering their story with such high energy seems to appeal to the Sharks, gaining their interest and entertainment. In fact, they even begin to slightly engage in Mr. Kiernan’s act and offer him a round of applause when it is over.

Shark Lori Greiner is the first to voice her concerns, asking the entrepreneurs how their product was going to stop raccoons from pulling the lid off or chewing right through the material of it. Kevin explains how he actually recorded and studied the animals so he could make adjustments to The Last Lid accordingly.

Through trial and error of designs and fabrics, he finally found the perfect combination. Robert Herjavec also comes off as skeptical and asks to see how exactly the lid is taken off. In one swift motion, Melissa easily undoes the metal latch and slides the fabric lid right off the garbage can. Apparently impressed with the simplicity of the design, Daymond John moves them on to the numbers portion of the discussion.

John asks them about their sales, to which Kevin responds that they do not have any as of yet. They just recently finished their product and acquired a patent for it. John is understandably wary of investing into a $200k business that has not even started up yet, but Kevin believes that $200k is actually undervaluing their product.

All of the Sharks get a laugh out of this but quickly regain their composure and ask about what they would find if they were to search for replacement lids online. Kevin tells them that there are lids available only for specific brands, which is what makes The Last Lid so marketable. Being made out of fabric, this cover is easily adjustable and can fit on almost any garbage can. Theirs is the first universal garbage can lid, but Herjavec states that having a fabric lid is an awful idea because it will need to be washed and will not be able to withstand the rain. Having no interest or faith in the product, he is the first to pull out.

Redirecting the conversation to Mark Cuban, Kevin tries to appeal to him by saying he could print his logo on the cover. Again, the sharks all laugh and the Kiernan’s being to struggle. Greiner pulls out and decides not to invest into their company, but Cuban asks them how much it costs to manufacture the lids.

Each cover costs about $3.50 to make and they plan to sell two for $19.95. Kevin O’Leary does not like the way the numbers add up and so pulls out as well. Faced with concerns that are similar to O’Leary, Cuban also decides to not invest. John is the only one who shows potential interest in buying into the company. He offers them one chance to lay down a price that he can not refuse. With so much on the line, Kevin offers to sell 60% of his company for the original $40k. After a moment’s hesitation, John bites and accepts the deal.

The Last Lid After Shark Tank – 2026 Update

After the episode aired, their website received a significant amount of traffic, however, only a small portion was converted into sales. Melissa later admitted that “[their] direct sales have been disappointing” and that the product is more suited to being on the shelf at Lower, Home Depot, and other hardware stores.

As for their deal with Daymond, it was finalized three months after they appeared on the show. Not long afterward, they filmed an infomercial, which they used for the company’s official launch. A huge success, it led to thousands of sales. Not only that but it also earned them a feature in a recap episode of Shark Tank.

They filmed an infomercial for their “As Seen On TV” product shortly after the initial episode aired

In a later interview with Kevin and Melissa, they revealed that they personally heard from Daymond a month after filming the episode that he was the shark that they had originally wanted to work with and that they eventually met with him several times to talk about the company. Not only that but he had also made an appearance at their viewing party the night of the episode. At the time, the Last Lid was also in the process of being produced in a factory overseas; their plan was to get it on the shelves of various retail stores as they felt that that would help with their sales.

At one point, they were also in discussion with several companies about a licensing deal (they planned on getting various team logos on the garbage can lids). As far as we can tell, however, nothing ever came out of it as the product was still in its early stages. They also started to sell the Last Lid on Amazon, however, it never received any reviews on the site, which makes us question its popularity.

Melissa currently works as a Licensed Realtor at Coldwell Banker and as a Treatment Specialist at Evenly Technologies, Inc. full time

Three years after their Shark Tank appearance, Kevin wrote on his LinkedIn page that the company had been sold to a major retail company in the “garbage can manufacturing vertical” for an undisclosed amount. Since then, he has been running a product development company. According to his Twitter profile, he also created a product called the “Stadium Glove”. However, we were unable to find any information about it.

As for Melissa, she had separated from Kevin a few years back; their divorce was finalized in July 2022. Currently, she works as a licensed realtor at Caldwell Banker and as a Treatment Specialist at Evenly Technologies. Prior to that, she was the Treatment Coordinator and Front Desk Manager at Pachter Orthodontics and worked as a realtor with United Real Estate.

The post The Last Lid 2026 Update – Find Out What Happened After Shark Tank appeared first on Gazette Review.

Hyperbole and a Half is a very popular online personal blog that contains numerous posts and comics. It was created by a woman named Allie Brosh, who would use the blog as a medium to show her emotions and her problems, as well as her attempts to solve them. It was basically the story of her life, drawn out in a fun, interesting way. She uses a computer program called Paintbrush to draw the iconic comics that are in each post, and the style is poorly drawn, but detailed. It is actually very impressive, and the poorly drawn look was the idea. It makes the site look approachable, and gives each post colorful personality, instead of the usual, boring walls of text.

Allie Brosh told the stories of her youth in the blog; however, as you can tell by the title of the blog, Hyperbole and a Half, she does exaggerate certain stories. The blog also goes over some of the important events in her adult life, as well as problems she comes across along the way. Some of her stories, including her critically acclaimed post on depression, start off by showing glimpses of her childhood, and use this as a base for her adult problems. Brosh has also created a web series of online videos, animated using the same intentionally crude design as her blog comics, and they have been very popular.

Allie Brosh got her inspiration for her blog from the comic series “rage comics”, which also has a purposely poorly drawn design. They are very similar in style, but the actual content is far different. However, some of Brosh’s images from her blog posts have been directly influenced from “rage comics”.

The success from her blog was phenomenal. She was able to release a book based on the blog, and it was an instant hit, selling a ton of copies. However, the blog eventually became empty, as no new posts were made. What happened to Allie Brosh? Why hasn’t she been adding content to her blog?

Brosh lived in California during her early childhood, and then at age seven, she moved to Idaho. She was a very successful track athlete, with some very impressive times. She was recruited by the University of Montana, and she eventually accepted a scholarship and went there to get her degree. After college, she and her two dogs, who have been in her web comics, moved to Oregon. She said that she moved there for the fresh air, saying that it is “quite possibly the best place on earth”. She felt that breathing the air was like “huffing joy and celebration”. Unknown to most at the time, Brosh was dealing with severe depression, and this was a move to help her get through it. Her husband, Duncan Hendrick, whom she married in 2012 after being in a relationship with him since 2005, was always trying to help her and do what was best for her mental health.

Brosh soon started up an online blog, for her to express herself and tell her story, along with some humor to entertain visitors of the site. She named it Hyperbole and a Half, and wrote about all kinds of things in her life. She has stories ranging from her battles with depression, to her experience with the world while having ADHD, and the effects synesthesia have on her view of the world.

Her blog is full of creative, crude drawings, with some of them becoming popular internet memes, including her “improved medical pain chart”, and an imaginary creature named “Alot”, which is what she always pictures when people make the grammatical mistake of writing the two words “a lot” into one word. Her blog is very popular among the internet, with sites like Reddit and Digg linking to her content a lot.

She also did an AMA on Reddit, which stands for “Ask Me Anything”. Users of the website can ask her questions, and the person who created the AMA thread can respond to them. Her success even got her invited to write a humor section for the popular blog The Gloss. Her blog was also listed on PC World’s list of the “funniest sites on the web”. A book based on the blog came out on October 29th, 2013.

What’s Allie Brosch Doing Now in 2026 – Recent Updates

In 2011, Brosh revealed that she had severe depression in a blog post entitled “Adventures in Depression.” Her blog went inactive shortly afterward. In the end, it wasn’t until May 2013 that she posted again, this time with long-followup chronicling her struggle with depression. She also revealed that she had suicidal thoughts. Following the update, her site received more than 1.5 million visits a day; many visitors also left supportive comments, which surprised her.

Allie Brosh did an AMA session on Reddit in October 2020

The comics that she posted also became popular among those with depression. Those who have never experienced it also said that it made them understand the condition better. Critics and professionals including psychologists have also praised her depiction of the illness.

The success of the 2011 post also landed her a book deal. Her debut work, Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened was subsequently released in the fall of 2013. Not only was it written in the same style as her blog but it also included some blog posts in addition to new stories. To promote the book, Brosh went on a six-day book tour. She also made television and radio appearances and did an “AMA” session on Reddit, where users could ask her questions.

A commercial success, the book ended up selling over 350,000 copies within a month and was on the New York Times Best Seller list for twelve weeks. It also won a Goodreads Choice Award.

While she seemed to disappear from social media afterward, she did make a few public appearances in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, she also gave a talk on the JoCo Cruise.

Her second book, Solutions and Other Problems was originally announced in 2015 – however, it wasn’t released until 2020

She also announced that she was working on a second book. However, the release date ended up being delayed a number of times, which led many fans to wonder whether or not it was canceled altogether.

Fast forward to June 2020, and the book, entitled Solutions and Other Problems, reappeared online with a new cover. It was subsequently released on September 22, 2020, and like the first book, it too became a New York Times Bestseller. It was also met with positive reviews on Amazon. In fact, it currently has a 4.8-star rating on the site out of more than 7,700 reviews.

Around that same time, she made a post on Reddit where she revealed that she and her ex-husband had gotten divorced and that she has since remarried. She also stated that she has settled in Bend, Oregon once again, after moving to different states.

As of 2026, Bosh remains active on Reddit under the username @OtherTubemonster. Her blog, however, hasn’t been updated since 2020.

The post What Happened to Allie Brosh from ‘Hyperbole and a Half?’ – 2026 Update appeared first on Gazette Review.

AdVenture Capitalist is a free-to-play simulation game that allows you to invest in various businesses. Like an actual capitalist, you’ll be able to earn cash, which you can then put back into your investments. Not only that but you can also work with Angel Investors to give your companies a boost.

The best part? Even when you’re offline, your businesses will continue to thrive. If anything, you just have to hire a manager, who’ll look after the place for you while you’re gone.

Developed by Hyper Hippo Productions, the game was originally released for browsers in May 2014. It was then released on Android devices, followed by iOS devices in 2015. As of 2026, it can also be played on Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, and Playstation 4.

A spin-off titled, AdVenture Communist, was also released for Android and iOS devices in the fall of 2017.

Did you recently start playing the game? Looking for some tips on how to earn the most money? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Here are 6 tips and tricks that’ll help you succeed as a capitalist.

Top 6 Tips and Tricks for Adventure Capitalists in 2026

Without further ado, here are some things that you can do to maximize your revenue in the game.

1. Focus on the New Businesses

The main goal of the game is to “buy” more businesses so that you can earn more money. While that may be true, you want to be careful about which businesses you’re focusing on. For example, it’s better to spend money upgrading oil companies, as opposed to lemonade stands, as they’re much more profitable and will earn you much more revenue in the long run.

Tip: Oil companies are one of the biggest moneymakers in the game. Considering that, you want to unlock and upgrade them as soon as possible.

2. Make Use of Mega Bucks

Mega bucks are another type of currency that you can get in the game. For instance, you can get them from the daily bonus. You can also purchase them with in-game earnings. Keep in mind, however, that each Mega buck that you buy will cost more than the last (the cost will increase by 999x compared to the previous Mega buck).

You can then use the Mega bucks to purchase Mega tickets from the Mega Boosts Menu. For example, you can buy one Mega Ticket for 10 Mega bucks. However, we recommend saving for 10 Mega tickets as the 10-packs cost 90 Mega bucks, which will offer a bit of savings.

What are Mega tickets? You can use them to permanently boost your profits by 7.77x; this is called “gliding” the business. The best part is that the effect won’t go away even if you reset the game. And if you glide every single business on a planet, you’ll get an additional 10x bonus, which will be added on top of the 7.77x bonus.

Once you’ve received a platinum boost (the 17.77x bonus) on a planet, you can permanently increase the boost by spending additional Mega bucks. For example, you can spend 10 Mega bucks for an additional 60x bonus, which will boost your total earnings to 77.77x.

3. Wear Your Suits

Suits are basically outfits that come with specific bonuses. Currently, there are four types of suits that your character can equip: Green, White, Gold, and Blue.

Green: Can be purchased for 240 gold in the shop. Adds +10 percent angel effectiveness
White: Can be purchased for 140 gold in the shop. Gives a 2x speed bonus (the length of a business’ progress bar will be halved)
Gold: Can be purchased for 40 gold in the shop. Adds a 2x profit multiplier
Blue: Can be purchased for 50 gold in the shop. Adds a 3x profit multiplier

To equip a suit, tap on your character in the top left-hand corner and click Swags and Stats. Select the Swag tab and scroll down to the suit section. You can then equip the outfits by tapping on them. And remember- you need to equip the suits for each planet (there are currently no restrictions on which suits you can wear on which planets).

In terms of which suit to wear, you want to consider two things- the number of multipliers that you have for the planet and your angel effectiveness.

Note: Suits are currently not available for event planets

4. Earning Gold

Gold is a premium in-game currency that you can use to buy suits, multipliers, flux capitalors, as well as mega tickets. For those who are wondering, there are several ways that you can earn gold. For example, you can get them from daily bonuses. You can also receive them as a reward for reaching certain milestones on different planets.

In terms of what to buy, we highly recommend getting a 12x multiplier for 50 gold as it’ll give your business a 7x increase in profits. Or if you have more gold to spend, you can get a 27x multiplier.

5. Participate in Events

AdVenture Capitalist hosts a number of in-game events for players on a regular basis (typically once a week for several days). To participate, all you have to do is click on the events button from the adventure section.

As you progress in the event and meet certain goals, you may acquire free Mega Bucks or gold. And here’s a tip- don’t start on the first day (points are usually worth more toward the end of events). Also, if you have suits, you want to wear the “weaker” ones, assuming that they’ll help you achieve the goal faster. That way, you won’t have to worry about “overkilling” the goal, which would make the future ones more difficult (remember, each goal that you claim will make the subsequent one harder).

6. Take Advantage of Angel Investors

Once you’ve reached a certain point in the game, you’ll be able to unlock angel investors, who will significantly increase your profits (the exact amount will depend on your earnings). Keep in mind, however, that you’ll need to sell the existing business for them to invest, meaning that you’ll have to start all over again from scratch.

Given how they’ll boost your business’ earnings, however, it’s absolutely worth it.

7. Know When to Reset the Game

Generally speaking, you want to do your first reset after attracting a significant amount of angel investors- anywhere between 50 and 500. Once you’ve done that, you want to wait until you have at least double the number of angels before resetting again.

For example, if you did your first reset at 50 angels, you’ll want to wait until you have 100 to do your second reset.

Tip: We recommend resetting in the morning as that’ll g ive you more time to do everything.

The post Cheats For Adventure Capitalist In 2026 – Tips & Strategy Guide appeared first on Gazette Review.

Do you remember Paris Hilton? During her peak of fame and popularity, she was a talented, jack of all trades celebrity. Not only was she an actor, but she was also a model, a singer, and a writer, producing multiple novels. She was also a disc jockey! The Beverly Hills raised girl joined the social circle of famous people from a young age, where she joined Trump Model Management, an agency owned by Donald Trump, to model as just a teenager. Even at that point in time her life was the perfect example of a typical celebrity female. She would constantly be ending relationships and starting new ones.

When she first became an adult, she and her boyfriend (at the time) Rick Salomon filmed a sex tape, which was then released it publicly shortly after. News tabloids obsessed over her. Paris Hilton’s life was front page material for any gossip magazine. The sex tape was the cherry on top, making her a well-known commodity. Her on-and-off personality was just what the media wanted. Very shortly after the tape was released, within only a span of a week or two, Paris Hilton starred in the mega-popular television show, The Simple Life, alongside one of her best friends, Nicole Richie. The series cemented Paris’s status as a star celebrity. However, like with everything else in the world, the excitement over her and her personal life began to fade. Lately, many have stopped to wonder, what in the world happened to Paris Hilton? Many have forgotten about her. She was such a story, and the media couldn’t get enough from her. How could she fade away so suddenly?

Paris Hilton was born on February 17th, 1981, in New York City. One could have guessed her future success from the start. Kathy Hilton, Paris Hilton’s mother, was also an actress during her peak of fame, and she was also a constant threat to make the headlines. Gossip loved her, just as they ended up falling in love with her daughter. Rick Hilton, her father, was a successful businessman. He taught Paris a few things, including money management, in order for her to become as wealthy and successful as she is today. Paris also had siblings, two brothers and a sister. You may have noticed her last name is the same as the popular hotel company, Hilton Hotels. Conrad Hilton, her grandfather, was the founder of the massively successful company. You could argue that she was born into fame.

Paris Hilton’s fame is interesting to study. Some consider her “famous for being famous”. Others say that she took advantage of her opportunities, and used the fame around her to build up her own image, and eventually become more successful than any of her family members.

Hilton became so famous, that she was considered the model for the famous person. As weird as that sounds, it’s true. For example, on the popular television show, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and also the subsequent series, The Suite Life on Deck, the character London Tipton was based on her. London’s father owned a large hotel company, like Hilton’s grandfather. And just look at their names; both have first names that are the same as famous cities in Europe, and their last names are very closely related. But that wasn’t even Paris’s only fictional copy. In the super successful television show, Two Broke Girls, Paris had another fictional clone in Caroline Channing. She even had a character in the worldwide hit video game World of Warcraft, named Haris Pilton.

Her identity as the perfect famous person was so iconic that when a fictional story needed an ideal famous person, they just cloned her life. But this brings the question back up: how did her flame of popularity fade out?

As a young kid, her family would move very often. Although she was born in New York City, she spent most of her childhood in Beverly Hills, California. Due to her parents’ status, she was able to hang out and make friends with the kids of other famous celebrities. For example, Kim Kardashian and Nicole Richie were two of her closest childhood friends. After she spent most her young life in Beverly Hills, California, Paris Hilton and her family moved away to New York during her sophomore year of high school where she attended a school that Lady Gaga happened to be enrolled in at the time. The fame was starting to eat at her, however, and at her young age, she wasn’t able to handle everything that was going on in her life emotionally. She went to a school temporarily for teens needing help with their emotional control problems but was able to leave after a year. However, during her senior year of high school at Canterbury Boarding School, she was expelled for an unknown violation of school rules. Once again, perfect for the tabloid magazines. She then dropped out and obtained her GED.

She decided to continue modeling, which was a job she had been doing since she was a child. She met with Donald Trump, and he agreed to bring her in for his modeling agency as she would bring a lot of publicity, which would be a good thing. Her typical day at this time would consist of her waking up, going to work to model, and then partying all night long, sleeping for a few hours, and then repeating the same cycle the next day. Of course, this caught the attention of the gossip news companies, as her life was now on display each night on the celebrity news television channels. Some said that she wasn’t enjoying her youth and that she was “growing up a little too fast.” This is the case with a lot of young celebrities, as they get into the hardcore partying atmosphere early, and then they can’t escape it. It becomes a problem for the rest of their lives. Lives that may not last too long if they can’t escape these demons. She was now considered the epitome of a socialite. Hilton was dubbed multiple names, including “New York’s Leading It Girl”. If someone walked into any store that sold magazines, they would see Hilton’s face everywhere.

While Hilton’s fame could have disastrous results on her, it also helped her at times. She was able to land a role in a small horror movie, Nine Lives, and her acting career took off. The film wasn’t necessarily casting her for her acting skills; it was obvious that Hilton was a mere marketing point to get people excited to see the movie.

Her acting career was about to get a big boost, however. In 2003, she co-starred alongside her childhood friend and fellow famous socialite Nicole Richie in a reality television show, The Simple Life. Their lives were anything but that, which was the irony of the show. This was shortly after the public release of a sex tape that gave her even more worldwide fame. The show became a mega-hit sensation, getting over thirteen million views on the premiere episode alone. The show developed her reputation as a low IQ blonde. Many thought that the show was showing her real-life persona, as she came across that way everywhere on television. However, Hilton took offense to these ideas, and she claimed to have been in character, and that is not how she acts in real life.

In 2005, Hilton hosted the popular nighttime show Saturday Night Live from NBC, and then got her first major role in a blockbuster movie, House of Wax. Hilton actually impressed with acting ability, as some critics noted. However, the film received subpar reviews. Some critics liked it, but many did not.

A year later, Paris got into legal trouble. She was pulled over by a cop for reckless driving and later was charged with driving while intoxicated. She then had her license suspended, yet was caught driving a few months later. The following month, she was caught speeding. She certainly wasn’t helping her case that she wasn’t a dumb blonde. She was sentenced to jail time but ended up with 40 days of confinement at home. However, she ended up doing jail time after a change in her sentence. In jail, she met a minister named Marty Angelo. Marty influenced her greatly, and Hilton decided to start a new beginning. However, The Simple Life was not renewed for a sixth season due to her legal troubles. It seemed as if Hilton’s world was falling apart, and she needed to start over.

She was soon in a new reality television show, this one on MTV, called Paris Hilton’s My New BFF. The show was about Paris’s search for a replacement best friend, after falling out with Nicole Richie. She then recorded her first song, “My BFF”, which became an instant hit, and the show’s title theme.

Although Hilton had promised a new beginning, at the 2010 FIFA World Cup she was caught smoking an illegal substance, however, the case was dismissed. However, a couple weeks later, Hilton was caught with possession of marijuana. The next month she was pulled over due to allegations that she had cocaine in her car, and she happened to be driving drunk at the time, which was charged against her. 0.8 grams of cocaine was found in her handbag, and she was sentenced to a large fine, community service, and she was enrolled in a drug abuse rehabilitation center.

Paris made a return to reality television with a new series, The World According to Paris, on Oxygen channel. It was about her regular, everyday life. The show didn’t get as many views as her previous shows did, and was unsuccessful and canceled shortly after. Her fame was starting to fade, as people were less interested in the rich blonde girl who was always getting into legal trouble. The world was starting to move on and focus on other celebrities. Hilton kept trying to hold on to a rope that no longer existed, yet she was clueless to why she kept falling when trying to hang on to this imaginary rope.

The truth was, Paris Hilton ruined herself. She was put in the perfect situation to be famous, and she took advantage of that opportunity, but for all the wrong reasons. She didn’t use her power and wealth to make a statement or help the world. She used it to party and take advantage of people due to her social status. She also blew her chance at maintaining it, as she became known as a public mess. However, after her flame became nothing but smoke on a half-finished candle, she started to change. She donated hundreds of thousands to hospitals and other charities, continued to be in small movies, and she stayed out of legal trouble. She has kept herself out of the headlines for a while now. The truth is, her absence from gossip companies and television shows may have faded her popularity, but it is probably a good thing. The fact that most of us have forgotten about her, and haven’t heard of her in while, is best for her. It means she is staying out of trouble, and for her own sake, fame aside, that is for the better.

What’s Paris Hilton Doing Now in 2026 – Recent Updates

Hilton was recently featured in the documentary film, This is Paris. Directed by Alexander Dean, it centered around her personal life and also chronicled her professional trajectory with interviews with friends and family members. Upon its release on YouTube on September 14, 2020, it received more than 16 million views within the first month. By May 2022, it had been streamed over 60 million times.

That same year, she was a guest judge on James Charles’ YouTube series Instant Influencer. She also modelled at Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Show and appeared in advertisement campaigns for Valentino and Skims—two of Kim Kardashian’s brands. In addition to that, she released a line of merchandise, which includes hoodies, tees, and sweatshirts with her trademark catchphrase.

She also created a record label called London Audio, which is a collaboration with Slivington Manor Entertainment and iHeartMedia. And on February 22, 2021, she debuted her podcast This Is Paris, which is produced by her company. That summer, she also released a six-part reality series called Cooking with Paris, which featured guest appearances from Lele Pons, Demi Lovato, Nikki Glaser, Kardashian West, Nicky and Kathy Hilton. Prior to that, she had posted a video of her making homemade lasagne, which went viral on YouTube.

A few months later, she released her next reality TV venture, Paris in Love. Premiered on November 11, 2021, on Peacock, it follows Hilton and Carter as they plan their wedding. They had tied the knot in Los Angeles on the same day as the show’s premiere.

She also collaborated with designer Blake Kathryn on a NFT collection, which went on to earn more than $1.5 million. That’s not all, she also became an advisor and investor of the consumer wellness brand, R3SET.

And earlier this year, she released a podcast called Trapped in Treatment, which she produced. Hosted by Rebecca Mellinger and Caroline Cole, it focuses on personal accounts at various youth treatment centers. In addition to that, she has announced a sunglasses collection and has released a tracksuits line, the former of which is a collaboration with Quay Australia.

She also joined the cast of Rainbow High, an animated web series that’s released on YouTube. Premiered on July 26, 2020, it follows a group of popular fashion dolls as they navigate their way through Rainbow High, a competitive visual arts high school. In the series, Hilton plays the role of Ms. Hilton, the school’s new headmistress who doesn’t hesitate to give the students helpful advice. In total, she appeared in four episodes.

Jaleel Ahmed White, more commonly known as “Steve Urkel” his television name, was one of the most memorable TV character in the 80’s and 90s. The guest star that was supposed to make a one-time guest appearance in the show, Family Matters, became the show’s ensemble dark horse, almost single handedly fueling the show’s nine year long run. But what happened to this lovable, suspender wearing, nerdy child star after the end of Family Matters?

Jaleel White’s Early Life

Jaleel White was born in Culver City, California. He was the only child of Dr. White and Gail. Jaleel attended South Pasadena High School and graduated from UCLA in 2001 with a degree in Television and Film.

Jaleel entered showbiz at the age of 3 with the encouragement of his preschool teacher. He did a few commercials in his early years, of which he most notably appeared in a Jell-O commercial alongside Bill Cosby.

In 1984, at the age of 8, he starred in his first TV series called The Jeffersons where he portrayed a piano playing child prodigy. He went on to perform in another TV series, Charlie & Co. He was almost cast as a Huxtable in The Cosby Show before Bill decided that he wanted the cast to mirror his own family, and was rejected in favor of a female actor.

He didn’t rise to national stardom until he guest starred on Family Matters. His one-time appearance as a date of one of the three children on the show, boosted the networks ratings and secured him a permanent position. Since his appearance on the show, it became a hit. Steve Urkel became a household name. Urkel delighted the audience with his goofy ways, his awkward outfits and his torturous catchphrase, “DID I DO THAT?”, seriously how long can you last on this video? Merchandise of Steve Urkel began to sell in the stores. Everything from t-shirts to lunch boxes to talking dolls. He even had his own brand of cornflakes. During that time, he also voiced Sonic the Hedgehog in many cartoon iterations of the character.

Jaleel White had quite a successful career from the age of 12 to 22. Jaleel also wrote one episode for the show at the age of 19, which became the top rated episode for that year. Family Matters became one the most popular shows featuring an African American family, depicting their lives and struggles on a daily basis. It rivaled The Cosby Show.

In the later years though, Jaleel had become quite tired of being associated with the nerdy character that everyone was used to see him do. Jaleel had outgrown the character that he played and was quick to distance himself from it. He didn’t want to be known as a 1 trick pony. At the age of 22, when the show ended, Jaleel infamously stated in an interview, “If you ever see me do that character again, take me out and put a bullet in my head and put me out of my misery.” He also had to make several physical sacrifices to maintain his nerdy looks.

“I wasn’t changing my hair; I was staying out of the gym,” he said.

“To be honest, I was retarding my own growth as a man in order to maintain the authenticity to what I thought that character should be.”

Jaleel White After Steve Urkel

After the end of Family Matters, Jaleel went on to star in many other TV series but none of them were as well received as Family Matters. The following ten years of his life mostly comprised of guest appearing in various other shows, which included Grown ups, Big Fat Liar, Boston Legal, House M.D., NCIS and Hawaii Five-0. He even hosted a show on the channel SYFY called Total Blackout, but it was given the axe after two seasons. He was also known as one of the worst cooks in America.

People are wondering now if he will ever reprise the role of Steve Urkel again, but Jaleel says that, “I can’t envision how I could do it in a way that would be irreverent and fun for both me and the viewing audience,”

What is Jaleel White Doing now In 2026?

Jaleel White has appeared in a number of shows over the past few years. In 2019, he appeared in the series, Historical Roasts and Raven’s Home, and also lent his voice to Steve Ukrel and Ukel Bot in the animated series, Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?. That’s not all, he also starred in a television film titled, Staging Christmas.

From 2020 to 2021, he also voiced Gene the Genie in Disney’s animated series, DuckTales. The woman appeared, on the outside, to be your average woman. Then, her world turned upside down. She became an instant celebrity, one of the most interesting people in the world. Why is this? She gained worldwide attention because she was Octomom, the first person of the new century to give birth to octuplets, which means eight babies. Not only that, but all eight of them continued to live well past the time the last octuplets survived, which was back in 1998 with the Chukwu octuplets. Nadya was all over the television news and gossip channels. She was being talked about on all the morning radio shows. She had become an instant celebrity, after being just an average, normal woman who had a strange event happen by chance. Or at least that’s how it seemed.

After digging deeper, it was found that she had used assisted reproductive technology to achieve this feat, which instantly caused controversy. An investigation took place, led by the Medical Board of California, on the doctors and specialists Nadya saw during her pregnancy. The general public, after first being awestruck by this incredible event, started to realize what had really happened, and Nadya became a public punching bag. It turned out that she had already had six other kids, and was unemployed. She got special treatment to have more kids than the usual person possibly could, yet she couldn’t even afford the costs it took to raise her own six kids, let alone eight new ones. At first, she publicly stated that she did not use public assistance to achieve this crazy feat, but a few years later during an exclusive NBC Today show interview, she admitted that she did use public assistance. She created her eight new kids and her six others with in vitro fertilization, also known as IVF.

In vitro fertilization is known to be when a woman impregnates herself, without engaging in sexual intercourse. This is done by having sperm donated from sperm donors fertilize an egg outside of the body. The woman has an egg removed from her body, and in a laboratory, the sperm fertilizes the egg. The newly fertilized egg, called a zygote (you didn’t forget that from biology class, did you?) continues to grow inside a Petri dish for a few days until it is ready to be implanted into the woman’s uterus, and a successful pregnancy has begun. The zygote can also be implanted into a woman who didn’t originally supply the egg, as this is how infertile woman can get kids.

However, occasionally, if the woman loses most of her fertilized eggs through miscarriages often, the doctors performing this procedure will take multiple eggs out of the woman and fertilize them, to increase the chances that one of them survives. In extreme cases, all of them may survive, resulting in an unnatural amount of babies birthed. This is what happened with Nadya Suleman, or Octomom.

You may be wondering why the public got mad, or why a whole investigation was launched. But before we get into that, let’s take a look at Octomom’s past.

Way back in 1996, which was before the Chukwu octuplets were conceived, Nadya Suleman was married to a man who went by the name of Marco Gutierrez. Their relationship was rocky, for a lack of better words, and they separated unofficially in 2000. It took six more years for her husband to officially file for divorce, which he did, and it was finalized in 2006. The reason behind the separation and divorce was different than one might think. During an exclusive interview with Inside Edition, Suleman’s former husband Gutierrez said that the reason that they were having trouble in their relationship and the reason that they were trying to separate was due to problems while attempting to have kids. Suleman brought up the idea of using in vitro fertilization, but Gutierrez was against the whole idea of “test tube babies” and didn’t want to go that route. This is what caused the split, as Suleman wanted kids but her husband didn’t want to be part of the unnatural procedure. He says that he isn’t the father of any of Suleman’s kids, but he wishes the woman known as Octomom good luck with her future endeavors.

So Suleman, now separated and needing a job, started to receive in vitro fertilization treatments so that she could finally have kids of her own. This was overseen by Dr. Michael Kamrava, who was an established and respected doctor at the time, but later was asked to leave the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Suleman’s first attempt at in vitro fertilization was successful, as she gave birth to her very first child, a boy named Elijah. She then had a daughter a year later in 2002, named Amerah. She wanted more kids, and went on to continue the treatments, and ended up with fraternal twins and two more kids, totaling six by the end of it. While six kids for most families, let alone single mothers, seems like a lot, if not too much, Suleman didn’t stop there. She wanted more, and this greed and lust for children is what caused a – at first – miraculous event, but later a scary, dangerous, and selfishly driven event.

It was 2008. Suleman said that she had six eggs left over from her last treatments of in vitro fertilization. During the process, she wanted all six of these implanted into her at once, instead of the usually recommended one or two. However, after some research by the California Medical Board during their investigation, the found out that Dr. Kamrava had injected not only six but twelve embryos in total. This was an unheard of, unhealthy number. The reasoning behind this, according to Suleman herself, was that she didn’t want any of her frozen embryos to perish, as they were reaching their expiration date. So she demanded that Dr. Kamrava transfer them all at once into her, which meant that there was an incredibly high chance of her having an unnatural, unhealthy number of kids born at once. After this was found out, Dr. Kamrava had his medical license taken away, as he broke many rules and his ethical values were raised into question. Many people were disgusted at his actions. The results from this could have been much worse than they were. What if all twelve of the embryos survived and were born? Carrying twelve babies at once would surely cause some physical damage, and the risk of death would have been outrageously high during birth. The babies born would have been severely underweight and they would have had a very low chance of surviving.

Suleman gave birth to eight kids, known as octuplets, and thus the name “Octomom” was born. The news of the event created a large buzz in the media, and people all over the world were interested. However, everything soon turned negative, with some people going as far to send Suleman death threats. While that was dumb (and ironic, since you are mad at her for doing something that may have caused many deaths, yet you are threatening to cause one yourself; that’s like getting mad at someone for stepping on a spider, and then stepping on a spider yourself the next day), most of the negative responses were well deserved. Suleman basically decided that she wanted to have a large number of kids at once when she already had six. To top that off, she was unemployed and had lots of financial problems. This begged the question, “How did she afford the incredibly expensive in vitro fertilization treatments?”

She says that she is able to support all fourteen of her children, but that didn’t stop protests from occurring outside of her home. Because Suleman had so many children, and because she had no job or source of income, she was eligible for tax awards, which citizens of the city were paying. This caused an outrage, as she was taking their money, indirectly. Suleman said that she planned on going back to school to complete her degree, and then get a job to support her children further. It was also revealed that she was receiving payment from the government and taxpayers for a back injury that she suffered from an angry mob from a decade ago. She used this to support herself, instead of going out and getting a job, and she kept on having more and more kids, and this outraged the community.

Her octuplets stayed in the hospital well after they had been born, to the point where Suleman even wondered if she was on the verge of losing custody of them. She went on to buy a new house, which was a curious and an interesting move, considering that she had little money and was still unemployed. Her income from the back injury settlement had also stopped during 2008, and the purchase of the house took place in 2009. Eventually, she got to go the hospital and retrieve her kids. However, there were riots protesting this, even going as far as throwing a baby car seat at her vehicle when she was returning home with her seventh octuplets. The seat broke through the back window of her car and shattered the glass. It was a violent, rough moment in the timeline of Octomom’s life.

At the time, Suleman said that she didn’t get much sleep at night, maybe two to three hours at most. Her past actions were haunting her, and she knew she made a mistake. The constant riots, death threats, protests, and global disapproval was taking a toll on her emotionally, and with great effect. She just wanted kids to spend time with. She just wanted to be a mother, after years of trying, she finally found a way to make this dream a reality, but she took advantage of it. She became obsessive, and couldn’t get enough. She didn’t know where the line was drawn; she didn’t even know there was a line. By the time she had crossed it, it was way too late.

So, what in the world happened to Nadya Suleman, or Octomom, if you prefer to call her that? It seems like news on her story has faded, so what is she up to know? How is she making money, how healthy are the kids, how is she emotionally, and does she regret her past decisions?

After her appearances all over television, from the Oprah Winfrey Show to her own reality television show, the interest and buzz in Octomom started to die down a bit, and Suleman was now a normal person. She felt much better out of the spotlight; however, her plans to go back to school and then get a job to support her kids did not go as planned. It was reported in 2012 that she was back on welfare, and shortly after Suleman filed for bankruptcy.

She said that she had over a million dollars in debts. Her house was put up for sale, and things got even murkier. She was accused of neglecting her children by spending a lot of her money on spas, salons, and other services. She was blowing all her money on temporary things when what she should have been doing was buying permanent things like security for children. The claim was later dropped by social workers when they saw that her children were in an okay setting and the children were allowed to stay at home with Nadya.

It turned out that the emotional problems Nadya was dealing with were still around and perhaps more serious than ever, as she checked herself into rehab. She went to the Chapman House Treatment Center, located in Los Angeles, California, for over 25 days to help her deal with stress, anxiety, and lack of sleep. She also started to take Xanax after it was prescribed to her by her doctor.

In early 2014, it was claimed that Suleman failed to pay back over $30,000 in welfare earnings. She had been receiving welfare for being unemployed, yet she was receiving countless offers to be on television and she was accepting them. She kept these a secret from the government so that she could continue to receive welfare, which was a selfish thing to do, as taxpayers were paying for her to support herself when others needed it way more. She got off easy, however, and only had to pay a small fine and do 200 hours of community service, along with two years of probation. Her lawyer says that she has already paid back her debts from welfare, and she was back on her feet.

In order to support her children, Nadya Suleman decided that she had to find a way to make some kind of income, and so she turned to pornography. At first, her jump into entertainment media was a simple, innocent one, as she was recording a single with artists Adam Barta and appeared in his music video.

She then appeared in an adult film, Octomom Home Alone, where she sits at home pleasuring herself with all kinds of objects. Quite the jump, if you ask me. It paid the bills, however, but brought her back into the national spotlight. Many people enjoyed the film, as it won numerous awards. Of those awards, the most recognizable is the AVN Award for the Best Celebrity Sex Tape. Nadya continued this line of work by becoming an entertainer in men’s dancing clubs and releasing a new album.

The album, at first, stirred up a controversy. The album’s artwork shows her sitting on a bed, holding her breasts while being surrounded by crucifixes. She later went on to say that there was no intention of making a point, or doing anything immoral, as she was simply inspired by some of Madonna’s work. The last she was seen doing publicly was engaging in an internet debate site called Deeyoon.com, where she was paid to debate parenting with Michael Lohan and the site’s users.

At first, it seemed like Nadya Suleman was just a mom who had an incredibly improbable event happen to her. However, this was not the case, as she gave birth to octuplets intentionally, as she and her doctor performed in vitro fertilization to transfer twelve fertilized embryos into her. This caused public outrage, and she has been pegged “Octomom” ever since. Today, Octomom is more under the radar, and perhaps forgotten. That’s probably best for her mental health, and her family.

What Is She Up To Now In 2026?

Nadya was interviewed by the Australian news program Sunday Night for the octuplets’ 10th birthday in 2019. She admitted that she was “young, dumb, irresponsible, selfish” at the time but emphasized that she does not regret having any of her children. She also mentioned that the household is run with “military precision” and that everyone is “happy and well-mannered.”

Aside from that, she hasn’t made that many television appearances. In 2018, she was invited to The Dr. Oz Show, and in 2017, she was featured on Then and Now With Andy Cohen.

So, what has she been up to? Parenting, from the looks of it. For one thing, the octuplets are currently in their early teens so they probably have a lot going on at home. She has also said that she’s working on a memoir. As for how she feeds everyone, she receives government assistance and also works as a counselor.

For those who’d like to keep up with what they’re up to, you can follow Nadya aka ‘Octomom’ on social media. She’s active on Instagram (@nataliesuleman) where she has over 215K followers. If anything, she regularly posts about her kids, not just about the octuplets but of her other children as well.

The post What Happened to “Octomom” Nadya Suleman?
